This is a perfect edition to my old TV set, since its tuner is malfunctioning. Plugging this device into my old TV set with extra A/V input and stuffs Is great. Now I can leave this in my kids room so even if they fight over the TV, I'm outta ear shot!! **evil grin**

KWORLD External TVBox 1680ex w/ YPbPr 1080i Signal Input KW-SA220
Comment:
This is my 2nd TV Box; it works well with my widescreen monitor. My 1st TV Box was the AverMedia 7, which distorted 4:3 images by stretching them widthwise over the whole display. The KWorld 1680ex has a widescreen toggle button on the remote that switches between widescreen and 4:3 aspect ratios. When set to 4:3, black bars appear on the left and right of the monitor. When set to widescreen, the image covers the whole width of the screen. When my DVD player sends a widescreen image to the KWorld box, it properly displays on my widescreen monitor (completely filling it). One issue I have with the KWorld box relates to widecreen NTSC TV signals. Broadcasters mat these signals by appending black bars to the top and bottom of their images. To watch widescreen NTSC without any stretch distortions, you must set the box to 4:3 mode, causing the image to have black bars on the left, right, top, and bottom. The resulting image is widescreen but doesn't fill the whole monitor.
