I am hugely disappointed. I put it in a category of ''Money Lost''. The product got installed initially, now USB does not recognize. this is witin 10 days of the purchase. BlueSoleil clearly disowns the version of software accompanying the Dongle. They want you to pay another 19.99 Euro to upgrade to version 6. They do not even provide downloads for ver 5 and below. Now the product is not even recognized by XP. Kinamax pls provide/use another OEM software.

Great Price, but does not transmit very far. At most for me, about 10 ft away. I couldnt get the newest software working, but the BlueSoleil that comes on the desk works. Overall, 4/5

The reviews almost scared me away, but I bought it nonetheless, and I wasn't disappointed. Granted, the included software was outdated and was not registered. However, it does work perfectly with the latest version of BlueSoleil. The adapter does exactly what its description states; it easily connected to my PDA, Phone, and Wii Remote on both XP and Vista. The speed is not fantastic (no EDR) at 1Mbps but is sufficient for transferring documents, music, and definitely pictures (it's the video you'll have trouble with). Its range is also excellent, I have no trouble connecting from any room upstairs or downstairs, although there is (not surprisingly) no signal in the basement. Physically, the adapter is quite small, although I would advise removing it before stuffing the laptop into its bag.

This piece of equipment was a huge disappointment. The software that comes with the equipment is a trial version, and need to be purchased to fully work. There is a reason this is priced so cheap. You get what you pay for. Do not buy this piece of crap.

Works like a charm under WinXP. I forget whether the included BlueSoleil 1.4 (yes; bought mine a long time ago) was a demo version (30 days/5 MB limit). Recently went to BluSoleils website (www.bluesoleil.com) and bought version 6.0.227. Newest release is 6.2.227.11, but that won't let me use my Motorola H500 headset; back to 6.0.227. Also connects nicely to my Nokia cellphone. Need more work to get it running under VectorLinux.

This USB bluetooth device works fine and does lots more then I thought it would do. I bought it cause none of my PCs recognise my 4GB micro SD memory card from my cellphone. Now I just exchange files wirelessly through this bluetooth device. This is also the lowest price I could find this device for on the internet. Thanks TigerDirect!!!

I bought this on a whim, and it works great. Plug and play under Linux (Ubuntu) had me transferring files to and from my phone in minutes. The included software made finding my phone and headphones under WinXP a snap. I'm not exactly a power Bluetooth user, but everything I tried worked smoothly.

it works on Vista for me. just install (from the included cd) using Vista's Program Compatibility Wizard. (the 'free' install from exwell is a demo, a 5MB max, so i went back to cd install) the only problem is my vista laptop speakers do not work until i disable the bluetooth a/v device driver. i only have bluetooth headphones for now.

I bought this crap, tried and returned it the same day with one question in mind... how and why such products are still for sale. Most of all this dongle is just a scam product. I wish T/D would do better research before making such stuff for sale.

I've used this with my old xp computer and now I'm using it with my new VISTA based 32bit PC (the vista driver can be found free at: http://www.exwell.com/support.html (IVT BlueSoil 5.0.5), works like a charm. Highly recommended.

It was a waste of money.. It would connect to my phone but it wouldn't connect to any outside programs... Very disappointed.

have had for a while now and is the biggest waste. never worked, phone never connected; and i have a PPC!!! go for a real brand. buy cheap, get cheap quality.

Don't waste your time, learn by my mistake (don't expect much help at the store level either). In less than 24 hours I spent the extra $25 and exchanged this item for the D-Link BBT-120. Big time difference.

Well, you get what you pay for. This sort-of works, and I was able to transfer files to my Blackberry but not all the expected features seem to work and the BTNetDriver.SYS caused a Blue Screen Of Death on my Windows XP Home box. The mini-CD didn't read after a trying on a couple of different computers so I downloaded drivers from their web site. Low quality -- if you need anything stable then pay for a standard vendor like D-Link.

I like many others have a device with an invalid MAC address. (111111111111) And then mysteriously the MAC address changed to 101111111111) It doesn't work at networking and the drivers are unstable- they crash explorer. Tech support is very hard to contact They require an invoice number!! I haven't gotten through. I am staying away from this brand for good.

Unhappy w/product - could not get it to work properly. Information provided w/product not very helpful or comprehensive. Called for tech support, got none and was 'disconnected'. Unfortunately, I didnt read the reviews or no-refund policy before purchasing. Buyer beware!

As mentioned earlier does not work with VISTA. I'm out $37.00 for two. Can't exchange unless defective. Catch 22, can check if drivers do not support OS. Dooes not work with Vista. I contacted Kinamak, and all they said was, ''Yup, we don't support Vista.'' No info on when the drivers might be available. It worked OK on my XP machine, but still a bit cumbersome.

Device has an invalid mac address and will not work with new versions of the Bluetooth Drivers. With features of new software this is a needed upgrade and cannot be done.... not recommended at all

As an electronics engineer to test some wireless connections, I randomly picked up this. The big issue is that it DOES NOT have a valid MAC address. Literally, that means it's going to dead after 5MB data transfer or 30 days, with the latest Bluesoleil stack(I'm not sure older versions). It's perfect garbage to me right now.

I didnot check all of the reviews but I found one that matches the problems I have. ''Do not buy this product if you want a bluetooth adapter that will play in the real world. The Net Address is set to 11:11:11:11:11 and this cannot be changed. Blue Soleil 2.3 and above will not work this BT addapter as it recognizes it as a PIRATE address. Kinamax has been unresponisive to my help request to fix this problem. I feel like I just threw a $20 bill into the fire.''

Works quite well for the price, setup is a little bit tricky but works. Software it comes with is tricky to get used to, but works fine once it gets going. Overall its not bad for $20
