Significantly less expensive than apple as every person has stated, straightforward install and speedily recognized. Very good upgrade. XP will only recognize 2.98 gb considering that you can't bootcamp with 64-bit, but OSX Leopard takes it all just fine. You can purchase the normal kingston RAM that's not "for mac" and it works fine as well, not sure what the difference is, except ฮ more affordable. Newegg actually took a long time to ship it to me, but this is a rarity.

Effortless installation. Enormous performance improve from my stock 1GB ƒ x 512MB). Works in MacBook three,1 and utilizes all 4GB. Also works in iMac 6,1, but only uses 3GB due to the fact of the chipset limitations. None. Had to buy this Apple Notebook distinct RAM simply because the simple Kingston RAM did not work in this MacBook. Be careful when picking RAM for your MacBook! Undoubtedly max out the RAM in your iMac or MacBook; it will make every thing much better.

Memory works fine. Talked to Kingston support and they were incredibly knowledgeable. This memory will work in the Macbook Pro or in the Imac24. The maximum memory the Macbook Pro will support is 2GB. You Can not upgrade the Macbook to 4GB. I removed the 512 that came with it and replaced it with a 1GB from the Imac. I ended up putting these 2x2GB chips in my Imac due to the fact they would not function in the Macbook. The Imac will not support an 800KHz memory chip. Use the 667K chip. (per Kingston) These chips worked fine in the Imac...

Does everyone know if this is compatable with a 1.83GHZ Intel COre two Duo white macbook? I already have a 2GB ram upgrade on the macbook, nevertheless, I find myself needing a lot more. I know that the specs states 2GB is the max. But I also read about how it will register to three.3GB ram at the most. NONE...seeking to purchse the ram if its compatable

I was operating Parallels with windows and access open as nicely as entourage, a vpn client, firefox and yet another app or two open on the mac side. I noticed that the memory allocation in the activity monitor was always at two gig. Everything was slow and typing even without having parallels open as slow. Now it is a lot quicker that there is not as considerably disk caching. So far it works rather nicely.incredibly effortless to put in if you have a smaller screwdriver.... none works nicely and a lot less costly than apple...

1 third the expense of acquiring it from Apple. Straightforward installation, works exactly as it should. Doubled my RAM for ๳ out the door. It doesn't cook your dinner or rub your feet? It wasn't free? It didn't arrive from the slot in the bottom of a nearby Coke machine instantly after I submitted my order? Just like most others here, it was way much less costly than Apple, it was straightforward to install, it works perfectly in my 15" MacBook Pro, and it shipped similar day and arrived exactly three days later with the cost-free 3 day shipping option. About as painless a transaction as I could hope.

I created a mistake with the prior evaluation (I am new to writing reviews) And I am here to say I meant to give this product a five Star, not a four, it deserves a lot more then 5 stars in my opinion, but that is the max limit, this is definitely a fantastic product. Definitely none. Apologies for miss-judging this product.

Easy install. I had to acquire a tiny screwdriver although, which would be simply because of Apple...not Newegg. I had read that some people today had been having issues with their OS showing only some of the 4GB, but with Leopard it shows it all and works fantastic! My apps such as Photoshop and Workplace 2008 load so significantly quicker and smoother now. Wonderful get. If i could only get that larger hard drive now... :P If you want laptop memory, go with Kingston. I had 1GB Kingston memory stick in my old Dell desktop (for 4 years) and now I'm letting my mother use it and it nonetheless works wonderful. Very good excellent merchandise.

Kingston has always been one of my couple of alternatives for ram and again, they did not disappointment me. I put these in my two.1GHz MBP (and yes two.1GHZ MBP does manage max 3GB) and the ram worked perfectly appropriate out of the box. I have been employing them for a small additional then a week and there is no difficulty what so ever with the ram. Performance has naturally, dramatically elevated from my stock Samsung 1GB chip to these dual two x 2GB Kinston's. Great Ram, Excellent Company. None. Sad that my MBP can take up to 3GB's, so I can not take these chips to their full potential. Even so I see a massive difference in performance, in particular in multi tasking, and running VMware (Linux).

Cons:- one stick failed after 2 months

Pros:- works in a MB as advertised- Kingston gave good service
Comment:
Bought this to upgrade a 2-3 y.o. MacBook Pro from 2GB to 4GB. The upgrade is easy and the RAM worked as intended. I initially tested my RAM with Rember overnight and it came with no error and worked beautifully. However, last week my laptop wouldn't boot and after tests&trials figured one of these stick died. Called Kingston on tuesday and requested a RMA w/ cross shipping and received my replacement sticks on thursday. Great service, despite the bad luck.
