This worked very well for me. I have a Sony Vaio and it was what was needed to upgrade the memory. I did have to go back and buy a second chip since for 1 gig of memory Sony installed 2 512 chips. It was a learning experience for me, but installed easily and sped up my computer significantly.

After I purchased 2 of these cards, I realized they were not what Kingston recommended for my model. I contacted Kingston, and they said it was still possible they will work, even though they're not what my computer calls for. I installed them, and luckily they work. I went from 256MB to 1GB of RAM, and I've never seen this computer work this good.

Bought this memory stick so that I could boost performance of my server. The server only came with 256MB or ram and adding another 512MB definately helped without breaking the bank. I'm considering purchasing another 512MB stick. At this price, you can't go wrong. I've always had good luck with Kingston memory.
