Kingston DataTraveler 101 G2 16GB Capless USB Flash Drive Black
Cons:nothing
Pros:slimaverage data transfert of 42 MB/sClear LED ACTIVITY easy to viewNO cap Comment:
Excellent choice.I have satisfaction with the 42 MB/s transfer rate even if USB 2.0 claim to give up to 480 MB/s (I have never seen date from any device)... this transfer rate (42 MB/s) is the better I have seen at this time for a USB 2.0 device.Thumbs up for Kingston for this quality product ! |

Great little USB stick for the price. I couldn't find another 16GB for the same price. Pretty fast, great for moving AVIs to the WDTV media player. |

Kingston DataTraveler 101 G2 16GB Capless USB Flash Drive Black
Cons:
- Though the UDrive is nice to have, it doesn't get used extensively
Pros: - Speeds are very respectable for its price - The speeds specified by Kingston are much lower than the real life tests. I'm getting minimum 15MB/s write and 10MB/s reads - The capless feature is a nice touch. It prevents me from losing the cover for the USB contact - The built in UDrive program is nice to have (Built in browser, etc.) Comment:
This a great USB drive for the price as well as for the capacity. There are better ones with faster speeds but that's where the extra money comes in. The speeds are perfectly fine for me. I'm just waiting for USB 3.0 drives to become more affordable before switching. |

Kingston DataTraveler 101 G2 16GB Capless USB Flash Drive Black
Cons:
integrated cap only semi useful
Pros: price, size Comment:
While it's nice that this stick has a cap built in, it doesn't fully cover the slot, so it will still collect pocket lint. Plus, it swivels freely instead of locking in place.Other than that, it's a good size, and inexpensive, so I recommend it. |

Kingston DataTraveler 101 G2 16GB Capless USB Flash Drive Black
Cons:
I probably won't be using their urDrive softwareFeels a little warm if you leave it in for a while (not enough to dock a star though)
Pros: Small form factorLooks very sleekGreen activity light in the centreNice chrome swivel capless designTransfer speeds are decent for everyday use Comment:
Got this to replace a broken Patriot Xporter XT which has incredible read and write speeds. This one is very decent considering it's price point. It's a lot shorter than my old drive which is a good thing and looks very cool. |

Kingston DataTraveler 101 G2 16GB Capless USB Flash Drive Black
Cons:
Slow, Unreliable
Pros: Cheap high capacity drive Comment:
I bought this USB drive for $10 during a sale at another retailer. Regardless of price, I was expecting Kingston's reputation for quality products. My drive died only after 2 months of use. Needless to say, all my data were lost. Kingston customer service was great in providing a quick turnaround time for a replacement, but my data was not retrievable. The drive was also painfully slow when transferring large files, but it was performing at its rated 5MB/s so there isn't much to complain. Consider the slow write speed before buying this drive. I would give it a 2 star, but ncix requires an order ID for ratings lower than a 3 star. |
