as a pc2-6400 it works as expected Normally this chip must be operating at 5-five-five-15򜠪ʂ.2V ; but I couldn't get it stable on my vista 64 program. My system has GIGABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P + Athlon II 630 X4. 򜠪 Soon after some time, the screen becomes messed up. It was only stable ﴠ. I wish I had bought pc2-6400 and save some money and time.

Has been solid for effectively over a year of day-to-day use in gaming/art/web function. Beginning to show it's age. May will need to upgrade in about a year. This is solid RAM. You will not be disappointed. Gaming, check. Online reliability, examine. Multimedia editing, examine. I would buy it once more.

I purchased these and am preparing to purchase one more set to increase to 8gb. I do a lot of video editing and surprising, 4gb was acutally performing fairly nicely until I began adding visual effects and was doing some complicated editing. Purchased these sticks in August for under โ, and now the value has sky-rocketed. Way to go Newegg!

Functions wonderful, is a qualified vendor for Asus motherboards. I have only employed Kingston memory for ten+ years now and have Never had a challenge. Value is a tiny steep for older style memory. Make confident you do your research and that the distinct RAM you are getting functions with your distinct motherboard.

Running at the claimed 1066 ƕ-5-5-15) timing without problems now. Other than that, it is memory; it doesn't excite me that substantially! * Poor documentation (nothing of worth in the package and even the documentation on the Kingston web page has restricted technical info).* When making use of CPU-Z, the memory just returns a generic 2GB-UDIMM (or something like that). I have had other Kingston sticks that truly returned their model #. Everybody seems to have matters with 1066 RAM, so I was skeptical about this memory. Though the speed difference among DDR2 800 and 1066 for daily use is minor, I was initially disappointed that I seemed to have the identical troubles as well. Memtest86+ would crash at the rated speed with correct voltage, etc. I assumed it was poor memory. But then I double-checked my BIOS version and identified that I didn't have the most recent BIOS version (for a ASUS P5QL PRO). Updated the BIOS and altered the settings back to the rated speeds once more. memtest86+ has been running now devoid of matters.I haven't had this long sufficient to confirm/deny heat troubles (especially due to the fact I have all 4 memory slots occupied). Not connected to this product per se, but Windows 7 is substantially happier with 6GB than 2GB for my specific setup. Even apps I wasn't expecting any distinction from seem a bit snappier (I know - subjective). Perhaps due to Windows 7 getting able to hold much more code and data in "standby".

Fantastic value. Looks great. As every person else says, runs HOT. Unreliable! See below. Ordered two of these kits as a Shell Shocker. 1 of the kits I received worked. The other bluescreened Windows throughout boot and would not pass a complete memtest run at recommended voltage ƒ.2v or two.3v), even at 800MHz, etc... Got a replacement through Newegg. Again, at suggested voltage but 800MHz. They now lock up Windows on boot, AND lock up memtest 50% by way of the very first test of the initial pass! Got A different replacement from newegg, and factors just got worse. Now I can't even the motherboard to POST. Now I am waiting on an RMA for this kit from Kingston. I didn't give 1 star since 1 of the four kits has been working, I thought that deserved a enhance. Personally I will not be buying Kingston RAM ever again. I'm going to be positive to tell everyone I know not to get from Kingston as nicely. I've never had this kind of trouble from Corsair or OCZ (too negative they left the RAM business).

Runs close to what stated I've bought 2 sets of this ram, initially set ran above sepcified 1076, second set runs slower. now running 1033, maximum speed without having blue screen in windows 7 ʂ.3v. two.3v? this is a lot of power for the price and speed spec'd. this ram only meets min. specs, if you want to run minimum or superior, select other ram. pick far better ram if you want to run a high volume ram. Okay for value, there is superior available. I currently had 4Gb and required to have additional. would select distinct brand if I had selection. a person needs to be sincere! G-ability is far more stable and a lot more trustworthy.

I got it to function at 1066 and extremely stable... The trick is to go into the bios and make positive to manually adjust your timing to five-5-five-15 and voltage two.2. Once you do that you will be fantastic and the memory will run at 1066 stable. At default it is set to 5-five-5-18 and voltage is at 1.7. So this is not a plug and play memory at default it runs at 800. But do the methods above and you will be at 1066 in no time and stable. This is a update to my ranting and raving from prior to. I hope every person try's this to see what takes place.

purchased 2 sticks of this last year to place in a new build. i am running on an amd phenom2 quad off an asus board. i put these in the correct memory slots and went to bios to tweak the memory to 1066, but the bios did not have an alternative for that. finally went ahead and bought these two sticks so i could have the 8 gigs even if they only run at 800.on the significant plus side, i just put my complete technique into a cooler master haf 922. amazing case. added additional fan on vented side panel. no troubles with something broken, but that is almost certainly due to my acquiring it locally. paid about the same, but missed out on the rebate. on the other hand, i also missed out on potentially possessing to spend for shipping a broken a single back! none for the memory, but was disappointed in the inability to get the total overall performance due to the bios difficulty. cooler master haf 922amd phenom2 quad 2.5asus m3a78 pro8 gigs kingston hyper-x 1066pny 7600gs pci-e 512 mbhitachi 1 tbsamsung 640wd 200all running with win 7 pro 64

Would be great if I received a set that works. Received these from RMA simply because 1 module in the first set was DOA. Now I have the similar problem with this new set, one module is DOA. When I purchased these there was a ฤ mail-in rebate and now it appears like I'll miss the deadline for the rebate due to the fact I can't get a operating set. I've (pretty significantly) spent the quantity of the mail-in rebate returning this memory, attempting to get a working set. Now if this 3rd set doesn't work when it comes in, I'm accomplished with this brand.

Looks good, and nice that it is rated for 1066. Not made clear on the Kingston, AMD, or FOXCONN (mobo) site that 1066 is not supported by my Athlon X2 7850 BE. Nonetheless, with this memory rated for 1066, I'm confident in it's potential to deal with whatever overclocking I can get out of it. I'm currently running it at 900 and it is stable. I could push it farther, but I'll watch it with Memtest64+ just before I make that modify permanent.

Runs properly at 1066ʅ-5-five-15 at two.two volts with 2 sticks ƔGB). No MemTest86+ errors with two sticks of RAM. Memory runs hot with 4 sticks ƘGB)! These small heatsinks are not sufficient to cool the memory if you run 4 sticks of these (close proximity of every single other). When I put a cooling fan on the memory, the MemTest86+ errors went away. I ended RMAing these and going with the T1 version of this memory (KHX8500D2T1K2ǚG) with the larger heatsinks. Operating 4 sticks of the T1 version of the memory Without having a fan operates nicely with no MemTest86+ errors right after 24 hours.

For Crying Out Loud!!I See I’m Not the Only A single with This Problem. Anyway Hope They Replace It with 2 Working Modules Son!I By no means Had Any Problem With Kingston! But Would Not Get Once more!I ordered it With Purolator Post. But the Guys from Purolator Didn’t Even Boater to Knock on My Dore Just Left a Not Witch Sad Unavailable. In no way Use Purolator Again!

Really stable, process has excellent efficiency none So far the program it is on has had no crashes. I am making use of it as DDR2 800 rather than 1066, but with slightly greater tolerances, so I wouldn't count on performance concerns. At this speed, it performs nicely.System: FreeBSD/Dual Core Phenom II/GA-M68M-S2PRuns net server (apache/php/mod-wsgi/mysql), mail server (postfix/dovecot) and vm (VirtualBox) extremely properly.

This is essentially my first time utilizing Kingston for ram and I've got to say I am seriously impressed no DOA or issues thus far (although only time will tell as I've only had them for a week). When mounted in a buddy's machine (mine desires a new mobo) they ran at the specified speeds with no troubles whatsoever. So far none but as I mentioned time will tell.

I had some Essential Ballistix 800Mhz sticks I installed on my new ASUS P5Q Pro Turbo LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard. Inside a year 1 of the sticks went negative. I upgraded the proc to a Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Yorkfield 2.83GHz 12MB L2 Cache LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor, and this rocks. But I was still obtaining BSOD's. I switched to these sticks, and I haven't had 1 BSOD, or any concerns considering that. These sticks I assume are preferred for a high finish configuration on a self built technique. When I upgrade from Vista to Win7 I will add another four GB. Not seeing any. I have constantly liked Kingston. I also did an RMA on the 1 Balistix stick and in no way heard back from those doushebag's. I will never acquire a different stick from Critical unless it is for someone I don't like.

Good memory if it is working properly Quality control seems to be a dilemma. As one more reviewer indicated, this memory passes microsofts memory tests which can be quite frustrating when attempting to diagnose the dilemma. Immediately after removing defective memory BSOD goes away. Fasinating!
