inexpensive unstable in dual channel FSB 400MHz and processor @ three.8 GHz My motherboard is Gigabyte EP45-UD3R. I overclocked the processor to three.8 GHz/ 400 MHz FSB. This memory is supposed to operate in dual channel at 400 MHz (effective 800 MHz). Unfortunately no matter what setting I chose, it continuously gave blue screens in Windows. Perhaps it would work in the hands of a specialist that understands the timing settings of the memory. It's not excellent for newbies overclockers lead to merely default settings won't work.Possibly it functions at normal processor speeds @ three.2 GHz. I haven't tried that trigger I need my processor to run quicker.

Straightforward install, looks great, and actually makes Vista sing. Elevated my Computer from 2G to 6G for a tiny more than 100 bucks and could not be happier. A tiny bulky and heavier than I'dve liked, but overall good RAM for the funds!

Soon after timing and speed adjustments it enhanced my process performance. Method sees it as PC2-5300 mainly because of the factory settings. Like others mention, its unfortunate that they misrepresent this memory out of the box and force you to tweak it.

Easily overclocked this memory to 4-4-4-12 timings @ 2.1V. in all probability could've gotten away with two.0V but haven't tested that. Memory ran completely stable for 19 days with no a break so far at these settings, even though these specific sticks have been in my technique for more than a year. Just lately got a motherboard that allowed overclocking. Been making use of Kingston for years. The excellent is leading notch. Have however to have to RMA/replace a single stick. None. Buy this. Overclocking the memory to four-4-four-12 @ 2.1V did not trigger any excessive heat. Laying a finger on the heatspreaders will not burn you or even feel like it's about to. It's warm to the touch. That's all. And i don't have any cooling fans blowing on it at all.

This was the memory certified to run with my motherboard. Asus is quite touchy about these items. It works nicely and does not over heat. Easy installation. None but some memory chips have faster CL than this one. This works well but so does other chips on the market.

Nice Ram, looks sleek, purchased two sets for a total of 8 gigs, Really Rapidly!!!(runs Crysis ;) ) If you are going to get over 4Gigs (I feel it's more than four) you have to run a 64bit OS, so if the rest of your process doesn't help 64bit, stick with four. I have tried a lot of diverse brands of RAM, but Kingston has usually been the most dependable, and the HyperX does NOT fail to dissappoint, it may well price much more than other ram, but keep in mind, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR!!!

You can make this ram go at DDR2몸 speeds The SPD is prgrammed for 667 max. Wihtout tweaking the BIOS (if you BIOS supports it) you cannot get DDR2-800 speeds out of the RAM. It is unfortunate the Kingston mis-represents this memory. It is not DDR2-800 unless your BIOS permits for overclocking. Check the PDF for this portion on the Kingston web-site if you don't belive me.

They're cute with their blue shinny surface; they run reasonably cool--warm to touch; reliable and stable when set-up. They showed as 533MHZ on my P5k Dlx; the data sheet shows a SPD of 667MHz ʁ.8V and 800MHz ʁ.85V. They are stable with Memtest & Prime 3 consecutive days ﴠMHz ʁ.90V; Timingsɉ-5-five-12-3-40-3-three-3-2n, following Bios manipulations of 9 memory settings settings. I paid the 赨~ value which is 贄~ far more than they're now going for!!!!!!!! I wud've been actual disappointed if I purchased them for gaming or high efficiency, but I'm making use of in my "vanilla" set-up so they operate fine! It appears all the memory cos are producing claims for their memory that don't fly out-the-box; they need a lot of fiddlin' to get 'em running at published speed and then at times some nevertheless don't get there!!! Kingston Hyped are great sticks they are not at the leading of the memory efficiency food chain as is Buffalo, Ocz, Geil & at occasions Corsair. Vital and Kingston legacy brands that are becoming outdone in the performance memory domain by relative up starts--a altering of the performance memory guard!!!!

Rapidly and Reasonably priced comes to mind with Kingston HyperX Memory. Installed on a Foxconn A7DA-S two.0v mobo and operating Windows Vista Ultimate with no problems. With intergrated video onboard working with on-board memory in connection with Kingston 4GB installed, Video memory reads at 2GB. Wonderful for WoW, Crysis and other games. 10 Eggs, five for Kingston and 5 for Newegg quickly processing of my order. It's not 1066 or even 1333 but for the cash it's worth the cost. It functions only scored a 5.4 on vista rating. Couldn't get it to overclock. Can somebody tell me how they overclock this factor due to the fact everytime I try to do it the display wouldn't come up or it'll just crash. The only thing that I did which didn't enhance the performance that significantly is setting this card to DDR2 800 speed in bios. I don't know if it's because I didn't overclock it or what because as opposed to some of the folks that say they scored a five.9 on windows ratings I only have a five.4

Solidly built.4GB capacity.Kingston. Rated at 667MHz maximum in reality. To get to 800MHz, you are going to have to overclock them, which is not a quite superior idea IMO. Misrepresented and misleading descriptions led me to ordering these RAM modules. I am now RMAing them for a refund and getting some other modules.
