The second stick worked just like it was supposed to. Good price and rapid shipping. The 1st stick was a dud. It repeatedly failed the mem test in the post screen. But consumer service was wonderful.

Installation detected by BIOS--speedy and effortless assimilation. none. Kingston is identified for good quality RAM. I've observed some other RAM chips available for a small much less, but why take a chance--much better off paying a small additional and finding Kingston good quality with peace of mind. Of course, I haven't had this RAM installed for incredibly lengthy... hopefully the superior knowledge will continue nicely beyond my ownership of the computer system.

I bought this for a friend that wanted to speed up his personal computer and it worked like a charm. He doesn't use his personal computer for much but shopping online. If you require additional speed get the larger one. None so far. Very good cost.

Memory works properly. Was truly recognized as DDR-400 :). None. I bought two of these and they can be used in dual channel configuration. Dual channel is more about the memory controller than the modules themselves.

It's Kingston. Works fantastic. Quickly. Wonderful Price. None. I have two of these to max out my Dell 4550 (This is affordable, good RAM). It came from the factory with 256 MB of RAM, I put one 512 stick in, and performance zoomed, months later, I bought another one, to replace the 256 stick. The computer runs incredibly rapidly. Plus Kingston is a trusted name.

I utilized two of these chips on an 'old' AMD Athlon XP 2800+ program in dual channel mode. The program fired up in a jiffy and has been performing wonderful considering that. As usual, Newegg delivered! It could be a small early, but so far I haven't seen any. For the $$ (not the cheapest), the KVR offers great performance on the aging DDR platform. With these memory chips you can nonetheless churn out some superior program performance from 'older' machines.

Price, stability, the performance of the machine improved remarkably vs having only 1GB of memory previously. Used it to upgrade a Dell Vostro 1000 laptop. No problems. The laptop doesn't support 4GB of RAM. I would've gotten the 4GB kit if it did. Clearly not the fault of the memory Pricing, shipping, and customer service had been top notch from Newegg and UPS.

For how cheap it is, it's incredible RAM. No dual channel, but for the price, it's not expected. I bought 1 of these a year ago and now am getting one more to make a full gig.
