This memory runs cool and constant in my Atom/Ion builds. These sticks allowed my Zotac MBs to sustain their mITX profile. BD video runs smooth! Zero complications or complaints. No cons

fairly very good deal did not operate on a Dell Vostro 410 in my office, but did perform on a Vostro 400. I think it wants to be matched with RAM set up in a related fashion. This RAM is set up as 128M x 8, in 1 row, so it has 8 chips. The Vostro 400 had related RAM. The RAM in the Vostro 410 was set up as 64M x 8, with two rows, so trying to use this RAM alongside it prevented it from booting.I *really* wish they a) published this facts, and/or b) fixed the silly incompatibility difficulties this causes.

Wonderful price/performance, Kingston name, solid memory runs nicely @ DDR2800 speeds. Not meant for overclocking, but who cares at this price? No heat spreaders (again not a con thinking about the cost, and how hot does RAM definitely get anyways if you're not overclocking it?) I laughed when I opened the package simply because this RAM is HALF as tall as all my other DDR2 memory... Not truly a con or a pro, but I did think it was kind of weird. I didn't have an issue obtaining the packaging open like other people, just cut around the outside and it opens correct up.

No MemTest Errors right after 12 Hours. OCs to DDR2 800 straightforward. I changed the timing to four just for the heck of it. Gets warm more than time but thats my issue, I had it at DDR2667 and default timing for a week or so and it was cool as ice. Survived jamming in the wrong way.

purchased 2 sets of this ram not a 1 dead got one less costly than the other set. but hey ram goes up and down in cost all the time. this stuff is still running powerful. probably gonna get some two gig sticks so i can have 6 gigs in my new machine. none so far wonderful ram and very superior cost was kinda operating on a budget at the time so i bought this ram and it was worth just about every penny. the wife's getting the two gig sticks for her new pc.she's gonna have four gigs like i do now.i've applied this firm's ram prior to with no trouble.

Kingston works. Notice how it gets so several 5 egg ratings compared to the other brands. There is a cause for that - it works. Please see Other Thoughts below. I deliberately gave this 3 eggs so I could write about the review that known as Kingston RAM faulty mainly because he put in four GB of RAM, but only three.25 GB came up on the Windows Program general tab.If you are operating a 32-bit OS, simply because of the math involved, it can only see a max of three.25 GB no matter how many GBs of RAM you install. The truth that the reviewer specified three.25 GB of RAM as visible documents the conclusion that the reviewer didn't know this.64-bit OSs go up to some number beyond the Milky Way, and will see all 4 GBs effortlessly. The suitable place the reviewer really should have gone to see if all four GBs installed properly was the BIOS. So mainly because he didn't know the fundamentals of 32-bit OS math, he disses Kingston when it was actually his ignorance of the OS that prompts his complaint. So please blow off that reviewer when thinking of this RAM. In our builds we use only Kingston or G. Skill. They work.
