I have an older Dell OptiPlex GX400. I removed the bad DVD, set the settings to slave and installed the player. Booted the machine and eveything work. The speed of the unit was much faster and I am very happy with this selection.

Needed an IDE drive for a mzchine that doesn't have an available SATA connection. If you're looking for one this fits the bill.

I bought this to use as an external in my shop when computers came in with no DVD drives, or no burning capability. I've used it twice now via USB and it works great! no complaints.

I ordered two of the DVDRW Drives as they are a hard item to locate. Most stores DO NOT sell them, and several other distributers are out of stock. The drives were easy to install and work great. The drives are at a bargain price too.

I have had this burner for a month now and it works perfect. It came with an installation disc that has a program on it that will update the firmware on the drive. This drive cost about $20 less here than it was elsewhere.

Ordered this to replace a basic CD drive. Works great without any problems. However in comparison shopping I came across a LG drive with the same model number that also was LightScribe capable. I thought that is whad I ordered. That is not TigerDirect's fault. LG should make the distinction in the model number.

I was installing this for an elderly friend of mind who didn't have a lot of money. The price was right but I had to buy the software to support it. Added greatly to the cost. Usually drives come with even demo software. This was bare bones.
