Does what it says on the tin. Reads DVDs. Probably even writes them (does anyone do that anymore?). Installs your OS and then sits unused, because who uses physical media these days.Oh, right, Microsoft. (Shut up I'm too lazy to make a USB installer.) |

I've always had LG burners, and this one is no different. Only reason I had to replace my previous ones is my motherboard no longer supported IDE. I still have the old ones and they works perfect. I expect the same quality and longevity from this one. Would buy again. |

Bought LG burners for years and never had one fail. The only thing they are some what noisy but I guess you can't expect to spin a DVD without making some kind of noise. I wish they would paint the casing black. |

This is a great DVDRW drive and I had no problems with it. It is very cheap but it still performs great.I would buy another one for another build. I would reccomend it to anyone. |

Cons:sometimes when it ramps up it can be a little loud but of course that is expected for any drive.

This is perfect when on sale or price matched for any system. One of the cheaper ones out there and it performs great, been using another one in another system for awhile now and no problems as well. If all you need it for is reading/writing DVD's, then it should do the job for you. |

DVDRWs are hardly worth any consideration other than price these days. This is a fast unit that happened to be on sale the week I was purchasing. |
For 20 bucks I don't know what to say. It is good, you get what you pay for and it is as good as the others at 30 buck, but cheaper!
