LIAN LI PC-A05NB Black Computer Case
Comment:
Gorgeous tiny situation with high top quality workmanship and no-nonsense styling. Every thing fits accurately and space is applied wisely. Numerous very well believed out specifics, such as the silicone dampers for the HD. No mount for SSD although (odd), but they nevertheless come with adapters so no prob using a drive bay. Fits a complete-sized board, and cards, and moves plenty of air, reasonably quietly. None.. even the blue runway lights don't bother me simply because they are inside on the fan. Maybe too conservative for some customers, but hey; it's a case, not a Lamborghini.I count on that some of the difficulties other reviewers may have with large fans on video cards, etc. could be solved by going to a larger situation; Lian Li gives plenty of those. I got this simply because I necessary a pretty compact situation to fit into my workspace. This is 15-inches high and operates perfectly. I've been happy with other cases in previous builds, but it's nearly impossible to uncover anything smaller than 17" and quite a few are substantially larger. I've wanted to try Lian Li for ages now, and am entirely impressed! It's not completely silent, but that could be addressed with aftermarket fans or controllers. But it would be quiet enough for HTPC,as it would most likely not be 15" away from you as in my setup.. In short, I'm completely delighted and will be using Lian Li once more.

1. High-high quality fit and finishŌ. Robust but lightweight3. Effortlessly accomodates mATX and ATX size motherboards4. Significant 120mm front and rear fansfive. Folded edges - nothing I had to touch was sharp.6. Hard drive bay makes adding and removing drives effortless (but make confident you screw them down for transportơ. Removable PS faceplate makes removal simpler8. Has plenty of space for DYI cable management9. Removable front bezel 1) Minor issue - does not have marked motherboard tray holes. No way to visually know ahead of time which holes you will require for mounting the motherboard. 2) Reverse design tends to make installation a tiny slower - power supply up front, and so on. Not sure if this style is much better than the additional standard styles for airflow. Will require to perform testing.three) Minor issue - can't screw-mount the DVD drive without having removing both side panels.four) Could use a front panel filter, but you can DYI if required. I have personally hand assembled more than 2000 Pc's considering that 1989, and I have however to discover the "perfect" case. For me it's a matter of how lengthy it takes me to from start off to finish. I believe that situation designers have never ever assembled a Computer, result in if they did, they would make those finishing touches that make life less difficult for assemblers. This may well not be a major deal for the DYI's but for the extra expense of a situation like this I anticipate much more. With that said I need to admit that Lian Li is a single the higher high quality situation designers, and aluminum does makes these circumstances extremely lightweight. Other than minor irritations, I consider that this situation is 1 of the greatest (top 10 in my list). There is room along the back side of the difficult drive cage to tuck unused PS cables, so I was in a position to make them "disappear". Modular PS is usually very best but not important.

Quite clean create and I adore the power placement nice. The 120mm fan sucks in so that causes a positive air in the box so less dust. And with the mesh on the back that collects 98% of the dust all you have to do is just give it a rapid wipe. I adore the feel of the aluminum and it is so light and powerful. I but one system in it now I am but a different one. Really like it I like to have it up on my desk with the vents on the side you get just a tiny draft, not poor. Alot of believed went into this box. excellent job

Everything fit in it just fine. Was in a position to fit an MSI N260GTX in it with all 4 three.five" drive bays full. The graphics card sits right where the external 3.5" bay is. I have a fourth difficult drive mounted there. It fit, but I had to move it forward a quarter of an inch from the rest of the tricky drives. The construction is of very great top quality. Finger prints are very visible on it.

I built a great, high finish system with this situation. It is the quietest, most energy efficient case I've ever seen. It has excellent airflow and the rubber HDD spacers work flawlessly. They dampen the noise of the tricky drive absolutely. none to speak of. This situation is what you acquire if you have the income to invest ๪ on a glorified box.

Extremely, extremely nice case. The situation layout is great, even with the powersupply at the front. Extremely high top quality construction. Incredibly lightweight, which is achievable by the thin (but not overly thin) aluminum sheets. I actually like the layout. one hundred% worth all 5 eggs at this price tag. At very first it reminded me of an Antec Lanboy i used to have, in how thin the aluminum was, but the construction quality of this versus that Antec isn't even close. For example, the side panels fit on substantially additional securely and it just feels more solid. - No power circuit switch in the back so you have to unplug the cord to cut power, or take the front bezel off to access the PSU's switch if it has one. Lian Li almost certainly left it out for a very good reason, ie long term reliability or added electrical resistence inherit in the style. If on the other hand those can be overcome i'd like to see a switch on other future models even though exactly where the PSU is in the front. I built 2 office workstations with this situation utilizing with Clarksdale CPU/Graphics so I can't comment also considerably on cooling, but it seems it would quickly deal with a high finish graphics card. Worst situation scenario you add a PCI slot cooler if you truly need to have one.I absolutely enjoy this case, i'll be using it for all my future builds for house/office/gaming systems if the cost doesn't go up too much.

Excellent case for money. Thinner case metal than my other Lian Li. Preserve in thoughts included fans are for 3 pin M/B. If you are utilizing four pin M/B figure on an additional ุ for new fans. Fans are three pin. Really should say RPM,CFM and fan connection of fan.

Appealing look, so lengthy as you don't essentially touch it. Lightweight. 1. Fingerprint-prone outer finish, very straightforward to scratch accidentally. Looks good out of the box; won't appear very good for long in the genuine world.2. Annoying tough-drive mount design.3. Feels cheap.four. Big fans are configured out of the box to fight each and every other; they each blow into the case. Be confident to swap the rear exhaust-fan airflow direction.5. OVERPRICED (in my opinion). With high value comes high expectations... This a single doesn't add up.

It's rare when you come across a case that is so nicely developed, it feels like it was customized for your motherboard. All cables and connections seemed to be appropriate next to exactly where they needed to be. The front panel connections had been specially nicely-placed. A lot of the additional cable slack could be pushed behind the motherboard tray, permitting for superior airflow. This is a smaller case. It won't property a technique with a lot of components, or big elements. Not silent unless you choose silent components. There is no soundproofing to this case, and in fact there are a lot of open holes to allow sound via. So unless you take the time to select components that are silent, this case won't do anything to help.Make confident you buy a modular power provide. Although you could theoretically slide unused cables behind the motherboard tray, I envision it would get extremely crowded, incredibly speedily. I purchased this case to re-package an older personal computer of mine that was previously in a large case with obnoxiously loud fans. This case was a perfect replacement in virtually each and every way, though it did reveal that these older elements aren't anyplace near as silent as components you can acquire these days. Even so, the bottom line: it is a wonderful case, good size, and nicely-constructed.

A little case; if you see it, it only looks like it can fit a micro-ATX motherboard but amazingly fits a normal ATX motherboard, with area to boot! Cooler Master 212 fits fine. 1 of the most quietest computer systems I've built with the case, although possibly since I fitted a H55 with a core i3. So I can't say given that I didn't install a video card. The style offers a major refresh on how you make a pc, fascinating you on why half of the computer systems in the market aren't built like this. Distinctive, sophisticated, aluminum and smaller for those who like easy on the eyes. Can simply grease or leave fingerprint marks on the case. I just wipe it with my piano key cleaner. The PSU in the front is one of a kind but the plug that connects to the PSU and travels inside the case to the back exactly where you plug in the outlet worries me. The wire that tends to make up the outlet looks thin, so I didn't even touch it.The aluminum case sides are a tad flimsy, but nothing to worry about. Wish it came with the accessory for the top panel with a fan, only sold separately and not at Newegg. Not for those who like simplicity. I place stickers (mobo, cpu, psu, and so on) on the case and in fact liked the case bare with out any stickers. Just looks ugly with the stickers. I also stealth modded the cd/dvd drive with Lian Li's aluminum drive bezel.

This the only case of this size that can use full-size components and keep everything running relatively cool. I don't need another case but if I did, would buy another without hesitation.NCIX did a great job on double boxing it, to protect this case during shipment.

Good and light w/ all alum construction. Incredibly sturdy feel to the case. Fit and finish is outstanding. Havent utilised it as of however. Preparing an epic build. Why is there no hole in the mobo for cooler retention plate? Preparing on an epic water cooling project utilizing this case. I believe this will make an excellent case, due to its tiny size and layout. Planning on cpu, chipset, dual vid cards. Im arranging on working with a triple and a double 120mm rads.

Very light (Ӱ lbs), incredibly tiny, and surprisingly easy to function with. 1 word that describes this case would be "thoughtful" - everything from vibration-isolating thumbscrews to the tool-much less five.25" drive installation are just nicely believed out. The front, top rated, left, and proper panels all come off really simply, letting you maneuver to all the tight spots. High good quality finish, great airflow. None. Just be aware that this is not a silent case. It does have really quiet fans and vibration-decreasing rubber washers for the challenging drives and the fan grills, but it is not developed to be soundproof. Personally, I located that my tough drives were the noisiest components, so I just attached some sound-insulating foam all about the internal HDD bays, which ended up minimizing the noise quite significantly. Really sensible and practical case, and really high top quality construction. It'll fit every little thing other than the really very greatest graphics cards and CPU heatsinks. Even if I don't purchase this for my next develop, I'm still absolutely going to stick with a Lian-Li.

Silent and extremely lightweight. The look is awesome! Power supply in front tends to make the case smaller in height. Top rated mounted USB ports and audio jack is a ought to! A small wider than your usual tower. I guess it helps air circulation. This is my 1st build and I am much more than satisfied with the excellent of this product.

Quite a beautiful tiny case. Well Built (as usual for Lian Li). High possible for modification. And elegantly basic exterior. cable management is not its strength, and theres a bit of a hot-spot on the GPU. I fully intend to add two 120mm exhaust fans on the top rated (along with a window, some red cathodes and a modular PSU). But i'd have to say operating with it is an acquired taste.

Lian Li quality, mainly aluminum, and it looks very good. This is an sophisticated little "sleeper" case, with enough area inside for the largest components. Think it or not, but I stuffed an over sized mainboard and an HD5970 in this case with no any important drama (see other thoughts for more detail). I located this case to be extremely easy to work on. I like how the front panel pops off and I also like being in a position to take off the best cover. Leading mounted USB and audio plugs are not an perfect configuration in my book. Front panel would have been much better. Also, the small aluminum door does not snap shut by itself (the alignment is a small off). I have the silver one (PC-A05NA). In order to fit the "ATX-XL" mainboard, I had to drill out 1 of the 3 rivets that attaches the motherboard tray to the leading U-shaped aluminum brace. This was quickly completed immediately after removing the best cover. The HD5970 fit just fine simply because the difficult drive cage is slightly lower than the video card. I put a little rubber foot on the top rated of the challenging drive cage so that the finish of the video card rests on it. This keeps the video card from drooping below it's own weight. Be advised that some mainboards spot the main PCI-E video slot closer to the I/O panel and if this was the case then the HD5970 would not fit unless you removed the tough drive cage. I hope this makes sense. My new gaming box:GA-890FXA-UD7Phenom x6 1090T4GB OCZ DDR3 1600OCZ Vertex2 SSDAsus HD5970Thermaltake 850W PSUKoolance Exos 2.fiveKoolance waterblocks (CPU, MB, GPU)Lian Li Computer-A05NA

Well created, no sharp edges, roomy enough for a massive heat sink in an otherwise smallish case. USB/audio front panel is actually on the leading behind a little door. I'd prefer it on the front. Its a great case and properly created. It is sturdy. Disk drives are rubber mounted so there is no noise, the fans push a very good quantity of air. The whole case is upside down with the power supply in the front. It could use a filter for the intakes but otherwise it pushes air quite nicely.

The case is longer and shorter than a standard ATX case so it fits larger graphics cards. The airflow is also back to front, with a front-mounted power provide, so the air moves fairly well. My graphics card hasn't gotten above 55C however.

-Looks incredibly slick-Included case fans are quiet and move a decent amount of air-Rubber difficult drive mounts for sound isolation-Reverse airflow works nicely-Fits big cpu coolers and video cards properly (I have a AMD HD6970 and a cooler master hyper 212+ installed and they fit no challenge) -Lacks regular top cover fan opening, there is the T-LM14B-two, but that's added cost and it's in no way in stock anyplace so I'm out of luck for now-The lack of the leading fan can cause heat saturation concerns, specially with lengthy video cards exactly where the heat can't truly escape the case-A little cramped inside but that's to be expected Had to turn the power down in the catalyst control panel on my HD6970 to keep its fan from going nuclear mainly because of the heat problems. Considering how expensive this case is, the lack of the best fan is sad. Other than that though it's a amazing case.
