Buttons and more buttons. Can be configured for virtually anything you can think of. The left button fails sometimes now, (after 5 years) so I ordered a different. Finest mouse/trackball I have ever used. I use it even though my 125.00 Kennsington sits in my drawer.

Well-created. Fits the hand just about naturally. The receiver can be some distance from the trackball itself, and not necessarily line-of-sight. Good array of programmable buttons. Battery life is actually fine. The trackball itself feels clunky at times, as if it can\'t move smoothly in its socket. The "left" button feels like it is jammed - the movement is not smooth, but grates a tiny bit. Also feels like you have to push a bit as well hard. In basic, I favor trackballs more than mice, but for the sake of precision, mice got it all over trackballs. If you play games, there is just no way you can get the similar performance out of a trackball that you get from a fine mouse.

Whilst it was operating it worked properly. Its a Logitech! I really like the Logitech keyboards and mice, don't use something else. Stopped working on my Win 7 machine, if I re-booted the machine a couple occasions I could get it to operate for a quick time, then even that didn't bring it to life. For the quick time it worked for me it was quite strong. Personally I would spend a little additional funds and get a greater top quality mouse. I don't blame Logitech as _ _ it happens from time to time. I ordered all Logitech replacements!

It's cordless. This is the most uncomfortable excuse for a trackball I've ever run into. I don't know why any individual would ever pick this more than a thumb-ball version. Whoever made it definitely has no ergonomic sense and has never ever employed a single for any period of time. It's not at all intuitive, and just about every time I push a button with my thumb my fingers naturally rest on and roll the ball and move the cursor from its preferred location. Also, it won't function with my wireless keyboard installed at the similar time. Why on earth doesn't Logitech offer a keyboard/trackball mixture along with their numerous keyboard/mouse combinations?

5 further programable buttons (besides L/R/scroll). Utilizes significantly less desk space and no additional bumping into issues with or falling off the table with the poor mousey. Or obtaining to adjust the region where the mouse is placed result in you just switched to the other side of the screen. The index finger buttons are a little oddly placed and little for me. the top 1 has to be pressed firmly in order to work on mine. I dont think you can save different settings and switch them on the fly but i guess perhaps didnt advertise that. would be good tho. A little big - was hoping to aleviate wrist pain trigger its angled palm shape but due to its size my hand is usually elevated. Really should get a wrist pad or something. All in all it was a nice acquire. Wish there were additional thumb buttons n significantly less index fng buttons but that is challenging to uncover on any mouse. Was scared to try a trackball but got applied to the movement really swiftly. Immediately after that no issues locating my mark w/the cursor.

This track ball feels wonderful and has all the buttons and wheels exactly exactly where I want them. The receiver works perfectly. Out of the box it was off by about 45 degrees, and you have to install the (Windows-only) software program to appropriate it. But absolutely nothing can right the DPI. It's like using a single of those really actually old poor mice when the rollers got dirty: it jumps from a single location to a different without having ever passing the pixels in in between. Maybe I got a lemon? The software package replaces the standard mouse settings in the control panel, so if you switch to one more mouse (or a built-in trackpad) you can\'t adjust the settings on it. So fundamentally, if you use this track ball, you can by no means go back. Warning: Make a program restore point just before installing the software program! I bought this at a computer system display, not from NewEgg. Possibly I got an older revision or a lemon.

exceptional mouse. quite precise and best shape IF your hand is the proper size for it. really stury built and all the buttons are in the excellent spots for me. no wireless problems and wonderful battery life! it does get dirty quite quick. not truly a dilemma. and this mouse is only very good if your hand fits it properly, read below. one reviewer said the wheel is in a poor spot. he's utilizing hte mouse wrong. this is NOT an index finger mouse. this is a middle/ring finger ball, your index goes on the wheel, you're thumb on the left click and you correct click with your pinky. you use your two fingers for the ball, NOT the index. a single reviewer mentioned you have to bend your wrist whihc causes carpel tunnel. rotate your mouse counter-clockwize on your table and you'll be fine, also could be unfomfortable if your hand is as well huge. but anyways individuals, use the mouse appropriately ahead of you give a fantastic product a poor review. i use this mouse mostly for gaming, mostly initially particular person shooters. as far as being precise its lazer is second only to higher end gaming mice. most comfortable mouse i have ever utilized (because i hold it properly). it IS challenging to get utilized to it if you use it accurately without employing your index on the ball, its only natural to want to use hte index, but that is the incorrect way to use it, which a lot of dont fully grasp that

Really Comfy; Precise & Trusted; Extra Buttons Beneficial; Performs Fine for Casual Gaming (including RTS Games) Does demand typical (simple) cleanings As an academic who does anything (including reading complete books) on the personal computer and a sometime RTS gamer, I use my mouse consistently ྮ+ hours per day). Just before receiving this trackball, I suffered from considerable wrist pain that was only obtaining worse. Now I have no discomfort at all! It's a godsend. It might not function for serious gaming but wonderful for a couple of hours of Comp of Heroes now and again. I clean it weekly. It's fairly easy, tho: just wipe the ball and sensors with an old rag. I very recommend it! P.S. Mouse performs fine in Ubuntu; but no custom buttons (obviously)

Lots of buttons in very good areas. Ball is in the correct position. Wireless. Fits my big hand very properly. It does not make my hand ache or something (well when i got my hand used to the shape, it was far more of utilizing the ball in an unrelaxed manner, not ergonomics) Wireless range isn't incredibly far, its about two.five feet or so. But truly, why do you need to have much more than that anyway. I just believed I would say something so people today would know what to anticipate. Install the software package that comes with the trackball, that way you can define what the other buttons do. I altered a single of the thumb buttons to be a "middle" button and it operates ideal in games like C&C3 and 3Ds Max 2009 for rotating. If you're still working with a mouse, throw it away and get this. Its so significantly less difficult and far more precise (especially in 3Ds max). Give it AT LEAST A WEEK to get applied to it. But as soon as you use a trackball, you'll In no way EVER use a mouse once more.

Really comfy. Fits hand completely. Buttons laid out in a all-natural way. Drag lock a bonus feature. Software package installed w/out a hitch. Software package shows battery status ƒxAA integrated) Running Vista 32 The ball is a tad tight when initial out of the box. Within 3 or four hrs of browsing it is loose and smooth I upgraded from Logitech's marble mouse and love it. 8 button wireless. Very comfy. Good and sturdy also. Rubber coating keeps it place.

Trackballs which are made to utilize the index and middle finger to move the ball present the greatest precision. Thumb control for a trackball is not as correct or rapid. Wireless is a definite plus more than my wired trackball. Software program can alter the ball movement alignment if you hold your hand at a various angle. The scroll wheel can not be employed simultaneously with the trackball in any successful manner. You have to use your index finger on the scroll wheel and middle finger on the trackball which is somewhat akin to patting your head and rubbing your belly at the same time, but with your fingers as an alternative. Positioning the trackball involving the buttons at the thumb would have made this trackball a best choice. Regrettably I do 3D design operate which requires the simultaneous use of each mouse moves and scrolling. That alone renders this device useless for my needs. I suppose if you never ever need to access both mouse movement and scrolling at the exact same time this would be a fantastic trackball. I have been spoiled with my current Trackball Explorer, (best input device ever developed by MS), which sad to say has been discontinued for years now. It has a incredibly similar layout to this Logitech trackball, but in my opinion has much better ergonomics and of course the suitable placement for the scroll wheel. I initially bought it for fifty bucks 5 years ago, but they are so sought immediately after now that employed ones sell for over 200 on e bay. Soon after currently repairing it as soon as, my trackball is nearing the finish of its life and so the ongoing search for a appropriate replacement continues...

straightforward to set up, in particular when you remeber to put batteries in the mouse,(DOH!),came with duracell batteries, not cheapie ones. Not a trackball explorer, but seeing as how I required a replacement and they go for 100 plus used, effectively this absolutely fits the catagory. Greatest con for me, only comes coordless, I dont like corless mice I like em wired but thats a private issue I suppose. Button arangement appears odd and requires obtaining utilized to, But used one more mouse for years till it broke so its portion of the territory. As soon as I got employed to it, its okay, the greatest obtainable if your hunting for a thing comparable to the MS trackball explorer.

It's very comfortable in your hand, as pointed out in a different evaluation, you can rest your fore arm on the desk and it doesn't doesn't get tired or lead to pains. The buttons can be setr to do diverse issues and there are plenty of them. I wish it applied a small scale USB dongle like most wireless mice but that's a quibble I utilised to have the wired version and employed it for a extended time. I thought that they didn't make this any longer. I'm glad they nonetheless do

Getting the ball on top rated is so a lot superior than at the thumb.A lot of buttons. Not to out of the way if you have extended fingers like me.I like the concept of the cruse up and down buttons. It came in about two days..... The scroll wheel could stand to be a tiny reduce from the ball. All in all a good trackball, though at very first I thought it unusual to have a cordless trackball. Normally the cord isn't genuinely an issue as it is with standard mice that have to move about.

It's a logitech item. I've utilized logitech trackballs for quite a few years and adore them...purchased the identical two button, ball in the middle trackball for all my networked computers. It's a POOR logitech product. This item is a very jerky, low resolution, and slow product. There is a perceptible lag among moving the ball and seeing the benefits. This is unacceptible for any gaming use whatsoever.

Wireless. New. Replaced a 10 year old MS Trackball Explorer. Receiver doesn't perform extremely far. But that's not actually a con. Less radio waves bouncing around on our DNA has got to be positive.. correct? Didn't obtain this from Newegg. It all goes to China either way... If the scroll wheel were half an inch closer to the trackball, this mouse would "feel" a lot greater imo.

Nice smooth cordless interface, lots of buttons, good upgrade from a plain trackball. The left button or the thumb button is waaaaaay to little, and is waay to close to 2 other buttons..they require to make it substantially larger and by itself. Requires some time to get utilized to it even if you have utilised a track ball, and even though it is not perfect is is nonetheless a good item, in particular with the lack of very good options in the trackball planet.

Able to replace existing mouse from Logitech keyboard/mouse combo with this mouse. Just hit button on existing Logitech combo keyboard/mouse base station and hit button on Trackman and you are in enterprise. Not actually a pro, but you have to set up software to get total attributes. Does not fit hand perfectly as other people claim. Thumb button is hard to push, other people have commented on it and I need to say a thumb is quite difficult and the button pushes back! The roller/middlebutton is tricky to press (middle click in Firefox to kill tab) and have to be pressed really far down to effect a click. The roller has annoying sound and notched really feel when rolling and seems harder than needed to roll making my index finger tired at the end of the day, so I come across myself falling back to pageup/pagedown keys for scrolling. When making use of the redball, I use mainly my middle finger and from time to time index and ring fingers. Correct click can not be reprogrammed to any other key than the one particular just ideal of the redball (that sucks as my ring finger hurts). Additionally, after redballing, you have to stretch your index finger (like generating a peace sign) to reach the roller or to middle click (it's an un-all-natural stretch which doesn't fit the hand). At the finish of the day my index finger hurts from stretching and pressing (it's never hurt just before). My thumb is also tired of fighting the pressure essential to leftclick. The ideal click button is as well far back (towards your wrist) so that you have to move hand or reposition after redballing to appropriate click. The roller wheel should be moved closer to the red ball and the angle of it altered so that the thumb and ring finger fit additional naturally to these buttons. The angle that my wrists sits on the mouse makes my wrist hurt, so I've employed old mouse pads and gel pads to make myself a bridge to assistance my wrist at a superior angle. The scroll lock button is fully in a negative/hard location to come across/reach.Takes a couple of days to get applied to. Following employing this for a whilst, my wrist nevertheless hurs, my ring finger still hurts, but even worse, my index finger is starting to hurt. Still not as correct as a classic mouse. Nevertheless waiting for a excellent mouse to be i

What can I say, I have purchased three of these for the systems in my household. My desktop, my wife's desktop, and a spare for the laptops. Excellent response in gaming, not sure why others have issues, but I never have. Exceptional battery life and no connectivity concerns. When it starts losing connection, that is the sign that the batteries will need to be replaced. Not rechargeable. Program on buying a new one because the oldest a single I have, more than four yrs old, now has a extremely scratched up ball due to my son making use of it as a substantial marble, lol.

Greatest mouse ever. This mouse fits your hand perfectly if you are regular individual. Good range, sturdy, great sturdy feel, I by no means need to have to clean mine. The ideal cash for a mouse ever, no joke. I bought mine applied not from newegg and have had it for a extended time and have had no troubles other than wearing off the logo and some of the paint on the primary left button. All of the buttons are effectively placed and are a welcome function to trackballs. When batteries commence dying mouse use gets iffy swiftly. Logitech didn't come out with it sooner. All I use are trackballs, other mice are just to significantly of a hassle to use and call for enormous amounts of arm movement or un-godly high sensitivity. The wireless feature is really what makes this mouse so excellent. Finally you can take your mouse, sit it in your lap, lean back and use the computer with leisure. You do NOT use your index finger for the track ball unless you're an idiot. You place your thumb on the left buttons, your index on the scroller, your middle finger on the trackball and your ring finger on the correct button

It's a trackball and it's wireless. Had to get a new trackball mouse for the new machine I built. Since Microsoft decided to mot make the Optical Trackball Explorer (in my opinion the ideal trackball ever) I had to come across a single that was comparable to the Explorer. The logitech trackball is nice. I like that it has 7 buttons and a scroll wheel. For me, it's wonderful for lengthy hours of gaming. I have sent a assessment to Logitech about what I'm about to write. The scroll wheel requires to be above the major mouse button due to the fact the scroll wheel is in an awkward spot. The two mouse buttons above the principal mouse button need to be repositioned to the appropriate side of the mouse so other fingers can access them or beneath the primary button to give space for the scroll wheel on top rated. If you are searching for a replacement for your Microsoft Trackball Explorer, this is the a single to obtain.

Ergonomically the safest mouse ever marketed for any individual with Carpal Tunnel or Tendonitis. I have a degenerative Ulnar neuropathy myself, and pushing any mouse around on a desk is painful to place it mildly. This mouse holds your hand in a natural resting position, and all you have to move is a finger slightly to move and direct the pointer onscreen. In particular if you have any wrist, arm, elbow, shoulder difficulty....specifically any Neuropathy, obtain this mouse ! EVEN IF you have no injury, not only could this support steer clear of a single, but it will be the most comfy pointing device you have ever utilised. I have owned 5 myself. They need to make this device more rugged. Drop it off your desk to the floor a half dozen occasions and it will most likely be toast. I have killed two of them, soon after no much less than 6 severe falls. That may be considered pretty rugged. But I feel not for ็ a pop ! I'd like to see a rubberized enclosure for it. Somehow this device is Under no circumstances on sale ! THAT requirements to happen far more frequently !
