Cons:The base for the speakers are kind of small. Yank the cord too hard and the speaker will topple.

good god, simply the best in its class. i priced matched down to $80 and OMG they are damn good speakers. my pc has never sounded so good. I wanted something with a small subwoofer (i live in an apartment) and they delivered. great sound at both low and high volumes, no distortion. front speaker cords could DEFINITELY be a bit longer, back ones are fine, easy to read colour-coded cords and installation was a breeze. dont look at the price of these when shopping for speakers; they are far better than what they sell for.in other words, if your looking for GOOD speakers in this pricerange, there is simply no better option. if cord length is an issue, buy some cheap extensions. i asked for good speakers and logitech game me a kick-in-the-face good speakers. buy them. now. |

I bought this set for 50 dollars and I don't regret this decision. The only problem i have with this set is that sometimes, I can hear very faint buzzing noises from the subwoofer. This only occured when there was no sound produced by the system and did not affect the quality of the sound when it did produce. |

Got a pretty good deal on these when I price matched, and hey with the free shipping, I am pretty happy! They didn't sound that great with the on board Realtek sound, but when I used an Audigy 2ZS I got off of E-bay for 10 bucks(used with KX drivers), I was impressed, They don't seem to distort untill you have them turned up over half way, but that's to freakin lowd anyway. UT 3 sounds way cool now. KX drivers and Audigy are the ultimate tweak monster combination with these speakers. Wish I could afford digital, but I guess I will have to wait another generation or two. |

Very happy with there. Cheap and reasonable quality 5.1 surround setup, what's not to like. Yeah they aren't quite as loud as the newer logitech steup, but honestly, i've never cranked these things past like 2/3 of the way under any normal circumstances. If you're looking to play games and watch movies and don't need the house to shake (it might shake a little but not a ton) then these will do you well, especially as the price keeps going down. |

Apart from the lower volume from the rear speakers, this set is great in my opinion. Good solid sound, and beats the heck out of my old 2.1 speakers. But the best part for me is the wired remote, as it is nice and un-assuming on the desk, and allows powering on and off, aswell as volume controls without taking a large space. |

Pros:Very good value, convenient headphone jack, above average PC sound mated to a Creative Sound Blaster X-FI Extreme. Comment:
After owning these for the last year and a half, they still perform very well for the money ($30 cost after sale and MIR made these an obvious choice at the time). The X-540 system is easily the mainstream standard by which others are compared and outsells everything in its price range. They've also been installed in half a dozen meeting rooms for media presentations at my workplace but this is where they show up a little weak due to the size of the rooms. |

I actually got these for 70$ on rebate and they are simply amazing. There's no other word to discribe them. Yes the wires are kind of small, but you can easily get extensions for 10-20$ at any electronic stores. The only down (sound-wise), is the bass, but it's nothing major since it only appears when the bass is really too loud. |

these speakers ARE THE BEST!!! i've had, the bass is great lol... can hear it threw all the floors of the house, ingame nice deep bass, there loud, got a bass adjustment nob also, i do sugest a good sound card atleast 60$ +, but over all, there Very good speakers,love it deep hard pounding bass, i'd say its comparable to a 600$ sound system, Great buy!!! definetly recomend, ownd these for 2 years now :D.... if they come with out defected, these are pwnage speakers |

Very good speakers if you're looking for gaming and want surround sound then this is for you. There is this matrix effect on the speakers but I have found that it's actually better to turn it off. When I turn on the matrix effect i can't hear the rear speakers as much as i could hear the front speakers. Excellent buy. |

Cons:-None but a few little ones that are super easy to solve.-Rear wire length is a bit short, but you can easily find an extender for the standard RCA cable at Radio Shack/The Source.

Got these speakers today, was looking for something cheep and just wanted something better than my old system. For 80 dollars these things are fantastic! Super easy to setup (took me longer to unwrap). You might not think that the packaging makes a big deal, but it's all the little things that count, and this was super well packed. Sound quality is best I've heard from a cheep PC system, and the surround sound is amazing in games and movies. The sub isn't the most amazing thing around, but is well beyond anything I would need, or use for that matter. Sound quality is pristine, love it. Mounting is also super easy. The build quality is excellent and looks really nice on my desk, also mounting is really easy. I would definitely recommend these speakers to any of my friends and to anyone else looking for a kick ass system for a normal human.I'm sure I'm forgetting more good things, but I truly have zero regrets about buying the X-540. I upgraded from Logitech X-240 to the 540 and the 5.1 is really incredible. The 540s are the best quality speakers I have ever had and Logitech in general is one of my favorite brands for computer accessories.
