I was very excited to set this up because I've only read good reviews about it. I know there has been alot of discussion over the lenght of the cables but nothing really bad to consider. The 2 front speakers don't have to be that long because it's going to be on your desk. As for the 2 rear speakers, the cord lenght for each is about 4 meters, which is pretty long for me. And the center speaker clipped perfectly with my 24 LCD monitor.Setting it up took overall an hour that's because I was being careful. Oh and when you open the box flip it upside down and let everything slide out.So yah setup is easy because the cords are color-coordinated but before connecting them to the back of the sub make sure they are placed in the position you want, as adviced by the manual.Once I turned on my PC, the welcome tune of my Vista never sounded more crisp and clean I played a bunch of my songs containing alot of bass and let me tell you.. it was bangingThe Logitech X-540 is worth the money so if you are still hesitating, I'm telling you to go it while it's still on sale |

The best computer speakers for the price. They are powerful and great. Only downside is that the remote is wired. |

Logitech X-540 5.1 Speakers
Cons:plugging headphones into jack on remote makes really loud cracking\popping sound on the speakersrubber grommets on the bottom of the remote control would be nicecord lengths really only designed for a very small space
Pros:great soundfantastic speakers for the price Comment:
I bought these speakers a week ago. I love them them. The are great for the price I paid, however I do have a couple of things I don't like. The big thing is that if you plug in your headphones into remote control a really loud cracking\popping noise comes through the speaker. I actually suggest you power off speakers before doing this. Also rubber stoppers on remote control would be nice so it didn't slide so easily. The other thing I didn't like is the cord length. I have a corner style computer desk with case underneath. Even the front speakers are too short to put the sub where I would like to. The rear speakers are much longer, but even for a small area are too short to mount nicely. However, my dislikes are fairly minor. The speakers sound quality and price more then make up for that. I would highly recommend these speakers to anyone with a small budget, but would like 5.1 speakers.-Hawk |
This sound system is very nice with great sound compared to a 4.1 system. The room fills with life when I watch a movie. There is one thing I don't like and thats the wires. So tangly and long, but I guess thats the price of good sound.
