Back to the basics
Comment:
This fan is plain and looks ike a turd, but it works just fine. just goes to show you really don't need the fluffy stuff - just some good cooling air.

Great for the Price
Comment:
If you are on a budget this is the cpu fan for you it is quieter than most OEM fans. Was easy to install and found it alot quieter than the old fan that was installed previously.

Fan issues within two months
Comment:
The fan on this unit is JUNK! It sufferred a noisy death far before it's time, but it could be revived with fan surgery (removing the fan from the heat sink and lubricating the bushings). Then it would last for a month or so more before asphyxiating and having to be revived again. So if you love frequent noisy bouts of heatstroke, by all means buy this, but if you care about your pc, get something that actually works.

Works ok, just a little for my configuration
Comment:
Fan was shipped and arrived faster than originally expected as was rest of the order. Works fine, just a little loud for my box. I have 300 case which has quite a few openings for fans and airflow so I do get some noise from the fan. I'll look into running a controller or finding a quieter fan since the box is in the bedroom.

Good deal
Comment:
I got it, installed it in about 3 minutes, works just fine. Directions dont really make much sense, but it's basically common sense if you just spend a moment to look at the fan before trying to install. It even came with thermal paste already applied to the heatsink. Fairly quiet for a fan in it's price range, no complaints from me! It does it's job, and didnt cost me an arm and a leg.

Good deal for the money

Worked great, installed easily, It didn't seem any louder than the original fan. This was a replacement for one I changed about a year ago, I don't think it was the same brand but I guess you get what you pay for.

It's a ten dollar fan!
Comment:
I only used the fan to replace the old one. It took about 10 minutes. Works fine, isn't very loud. To the person who found nothing good to say about it, It's a ten dollar fan!

Loudest 31db I have ever heard!
Comment:
This is just crazy loud. Sounds like it is going out of control and ready to fly apart. I took the fan off the heat sink and used another fan from another computer to use on this heat sink just to get my new mobo and OS set up. I have ordered a new fan (fan only) for this unit. The quality of the heat sink is top notch but the quality of the fan is zero.

Easy Replacement
Comment:
The only reason I bought this cooling fan is it was an exact match for the one that died after less than two years.

I found th is to be a good fan and worked well. My only issue is that it died after a year and had to buy another fan. Thought it would last longer.

Secret of Life with Masscool
Comment:
My Masscool CPU cooling fan model 5T313B1H3G, with a chrome grill on top, for my AMD Sempron 3100+ Socket 754 CPU has been working since I assembled the system in 2005. Yes, the fan can become noisy, slow down, stop, overheat the processor, etc. Here's the secret: When the fan gets noisy or starts to slow down, I remove the four screws that hold down the chrome grill. Then the fan motor easily lifts off the aluminum heat sink. Then on the 'under side' of the fan, that is, the side next to the heat sink, I peel back the paper label at the center of the fan. Then can see the motor bearing. I put 1-2 drops of 3 in 1 oil on the bearing and try to replace the paper label, usually not very successfully. Then I just reassemble. Then the noise goes away, and the fan speed gets up to about 4200 RPM right away when start the computer. The motor just needs a little oil occasionally. Have to do fan 'lube job' every few months.

If you just need a fan for normal use, this is the one for you. It's cheap, reliable, and keeps the CPU cool when operating normally. I've had mine for over a year with no problems yet. If your going to push things to the limit with overclocking, this is not what you want.

I've owned two of these now and both have died. The first had a good run of about 2 years, the second only lasted 10 months. And they are noisy. 20/20 hindsight tells me ''Buy better quality next time''. This time I will spend a moderate amount on my heatsink since it does cool the most important part of my computer.
