Excellent for the ***price***. Super quiet !!!!!!!!!!!! The power LED has two pins but my case power LED has three pins. I need to move the pins in the case so that it matches the pins on the motherboard so beware what CASE you acquire!! Im run my machine in stealth mode -- only way youll know that it's on throughout the day is by feeling the fans or logging in remotely. At night you can see the motherboard LED(there are LEDs inside the motherboard) by looking at the side. Wanted to attempt it for ESXi, so far no luck. I read on forums you can generate your own ISO so you can make the NIC work but I nonetheless have no concept if the disk controller will perform. If you want to use this motherboard to play with ESXi you might end up acquiring a disk controller and NIC if you dont want to figure out how to include the NIC drivers to the ESXi install.

Far too high 1.24v worked for stock.-Due to Vdrop I have to run slightly higher voltage for stablility when running full load 24ǝ resulting in Ӱc higher temps.-No auto shut down temp. settings in bios for cpu which is a very first for me on a board with OCing solution. I purchased this for crunching for a inexpensive household for a 955 I had laying about. I commonly by Biostar for low end boards but wanted to try some thing unique. I am a dissapointed most in the Vdrop and inaccurate voltage readings and warn anybody working with or purchasing this to be catious of the voltage and perform it as low as you can go if running stock and of course overclocked.three stars for the fairly dress, I'll stick with Biostar subsequent time.

Whenever I try to install Windows 7 it loads the files then goes to a blue screen and says that my motherboard isn't ACPI compliant. I don't know how to fix this. It booted up for .5 seconds. So my old pc tanked. I see this seemingly excellent combo deal for cpu and motherboard. I order it, get it in the mail. Set every thing up, turn the power on. Hear a pop half a second later smoke is coming out of the machine then immediately a 3 inch flame is poking out the leading of my case. I immediately unplug it from the powerstrip and the flame goes away. Upon inspection, it looks like the fuse busted that controls the fan to the cpu. Compatible I believe not. Possibly gonna have to recall these babies at some point. My buddy has had this occur to him on one more mb and I believed he was full of it. Guess not now.

Has every thing I wanted, plus. Wonderful price for this level of top quality. Onboard video w/HDMI is decent enough, works excellent for watching media and performing standard tasks like internet surfing on my Television. Later added a Radeon 4850 to do gaming. Great bang for the buck. None so far. eSata was a definite plus, plan on making use of eSata external drive in the future, haven't tested but although.

They gave me a link and said this *MIGHT* have the sound drivers.Still no soundI asked for a new driver CD;I received no reply to this.So, I have a motherboard without having sound. Now I have to get a different motherboard or a soundcard. Does every thing i want it to. For the price the board does much more than i thought i would get for the price. The SATA connectors are 90 degrees to the board. There is one that is straight out so with one challenging drive it does not matter but if you are going to have a lot more than one on this board beware. I have a Phenom II X4 black edition on this board and RAM that has heat spreaders on them. The 1 stick of RAM is right up against the fan on the CPU. I have not noticed it heating up the RAM so i do not believe it matters but makes you feel when you install that stick of RAM

For some reason although, there's no way to disable individual cores to see if it's a poor core (the CPU Core control function only lists cores and 1). Also, there's no EC firmware choice in the Cell menu.... maybe a BIOS version concern?Anyway, didn't expect a guaranteed unlock... the develop rips everyday tasks apart anyway... overall, an amazing mobo for the cost!!
