Has a fairly decent cost thinking of all that you get. Major pro for this build was the four memory slots on a micro ATX board. The metal backplate was a little funky to get in, but then I usually have issues with those. My biggest gripe so far is that the tiny versatile portion on the PCI-E slot (to assist get your card out) broke off the very first time I tried to use it. I was still able to get the card out with no disrupting something on the mobo or graphics card, but it was nonetheless odd that the point would break the very first time I tried it. I have been placing together and upgrading computer systems for myself, friends, and household for more than 5 years now. I have usually had excellent experiences with MSI motherboards and videocards. If it comes down to the only distinction among the goods becoming essentially the very same, I will always select MSI more than other firms. The create excellent, aesthetics, and assistance have been excellent the complete time. So I'm truly surprised element of the board would come off like that so simply, but I'm confident the rest of it will hold up effectively.

it's nonetheless operating, but not optimally. amd and msi computer software are acting kinda buggy. i've encountered the bsod... i've not too long ago started tinkering with the bios to adjust the cpu fan to a whisper 37.five% 񡿸rpm), but this brought up the dreaded bsod, so i changed it back to 50% and all is effectively. also, neither amd overdrive or msi controlcenter will now recognize dimm slotŠ, i've switched in 3 different ram modules and these are recognized in positions 1, 3, 4 but not position two?!? memtest 86+ crashes soon after 78% completion of 1st run. 12 hr run of prime95 was fine...i don't get it. constructing and tinkering with a laptop or computer should not be this hard. on the plus side msi tech help is a lot more than prepared to exchange this unit and issued me an rma, not a total loss.

-Great attributes-Nice color scheme-Decent documentation, will help you if you're stuck -None I can think of This board's been fantastic running a Phenom IIx2 555. Board will unlock it to four cores, but it overheated when I did that, so that will have to wait for an aftermarket cooler. Was kind of a discomfort to match up the sockets to the I/O shieldplate, but I think my case had a lot more to do with that issue than this mobo. great acquire for any individual on a budget.

Solid state capacitors and the selection to unlock cores is good! I installed my 55 Blac Series Dual Core Proc and unlocked all four cores correct away with no concerns none I am not a large MSI fan but this board could just modify my thoughts. It was simple to setup, BIOS is nice and has tons of alternatives. I setup Raid in on 2x 750gig WD Black HDD's devoid of a hitch. Great board! Also - a message to MSI, if you want you can send me a cost-free board to replace the dozens of failures I have sold in the past and replaced with the competition. I hope this is the sign of several fantastic points to come.

* Unlocked 555BE to 4 cores* two x PCIe slots* Functions as expected - Only CPU and one SysFan- A bit touchy during initial boot up, don't load up all the memory slots initial time powering up- Not specifically function wealthy (but I just wanted a inexpensive AM3 board anyway) It never offered any guidance on assembling itself into a tiny mATX case. Who's notion was it to make such smaller cramped instances and why did I buy one particular?

-IDE & Floppy Channel-Small and compact-Lots of BIOS options-I/O panel has HDMI output-Low cost! -CPU's a little close to the RAM slots, might be tough to mount big heatsinksNone actually, was an general fantastic product. I haven't touched any overclocking functions, but they are a lot to go by means of. This is my initial AMD develop, and I'd have to say, the CPU's heatsink is the hardest factor to get on (coming from developing Intel's my entire life). I ultimately figured it out with some on the internet assist. For the price you spend for this motherboard and what you get, it seriously is a bargain.

I ordered this mb not certain if esxi would run with it (I assumed the north bridge chipset was compatible). Low and behold it operates good, currently have esxi four. Ɣ.1 is a pain to deal with... waiting for something nicer).Anyways this board is excellent, operates as expected, as a slot for the crucial intel nic. Haven't tried the software program raid out - will most likely just acquire a real raid card. Low-cost and functions - like i like it. I guess there could be a lot more PCI slots but I mean there aren't any cons genuinely (Why would I acquire one thing, then complain about the capabilities I was aware about, as I see in many evaluations). I wish they had a low cost two socket version of this board. Also I'll have to see how it holds up as I actually commence populating my vms.

Sleek, smaller, worked. You cant really get your ram to 2000. And tech support is nonexistant. I utilised the suggested and the clock stops at 240. Unstable also. Unbootable at 250. They need to have a 1Ɋ on the ram ha. Its great, and for the price you wont find considerably much better.

In a position to configure motherboard to your liking in speed and attributes.Superior excellent board.Loaded with all the older goodies like Parallel Port, Com Port, and IDE ports to operate all the older peripherals as nicely as the new and present ones. Wish it came with the accessories to connect all the added port cables with no the additional acquire of them. I would h ave gladly paid for them to be included. If you are seeking for a nicely equipped motherboard to run a Phenom II X2 locked chip, (one that is capable of quad-core but disabled at the factory), THIS is the board to obtain.

I don't know yet. Spent 3 hours trying to get this factor to POST, basically will not POST. Not that the manual is basically helpful or total. An accurate map of the board would be a bonus. My son spent his Christmas money on a Newegg bundle to develop a computer, which won't even boot into BIOS. Thanks MSI. core unlocking, and all the other cool specs havent had the opportunity to use the attributes bc newegg bundled this together with an AMD Phenom II black edition processor which the motherboard says it supports (no qualms with newegg) but receiving everything into the case and hooked up and turning it on realized there was no video so i checked everything and almost everything was hooked up fine, so i known as MSI. what the guy told me immediately after giving him some info about the board and processor is that my board is bios version 1.4 and demands the 1.5 version to use that processor. but without a way to get into the bios there isnt anyway i can flash it. so now i have to take every thing out of it and send it back just to get the right one particular. quite incredibly Incredibly! angry with MSI. i will by no means get another board from them once more. almost everything is now operating not incredibly backwards compatible with windows XP I wrote a previous assessment (I am unable to decide how to edit these reviews) citing an audio dilemma, but I was in a position to fix that, which is why my assessment score is a little greater.Nonetheless, the issue only existed since the board did not have really great backwards compatibility (i.e., the drivers) for Windows XP.MSi's response was pretty fast and that was excellent, too - thanks anyway!

Excellent value vs. functionsLots of legacy connections (COM, PSǘ)Nice size No DVI connector on back panel, but this can be resolved by employing a HDMI-to-DVI cable or adapter. I didn't will need DVI, so I didn't care about this. I bought this for a budget construct, and it works just fine.

portion of my first develop and i it was operating truly nicely for the very first 2 months. nonetheless functions nicely except... second dimm slot does not show up on AMD overdrive and MSI control center. it does show up bios, cpuid, memtest86, and win7. so what's up? did a sensor burn out? it ticks me off. and now catalyst control center has died on me following i install an msi video card!?! jeeze. overall, the laptop is operating along seriously properly, but then i've got 12gb of ram on board, so if a 4gb card is not being recognized it's not as if i'd know otherwise. This motherboard has about anything needed for a startup Computer. Purchased in a Combo with the AMD Athlon II X4 640 and G.Skill Ripjaws 4GB of memory. Computer is keeping up with a laptop or computer built over the summer for way additional income. Motherboard supports on processor video, and can even manage SC2 with Medium settings. Motherboard was easy to connect to, documentation was superb. None as of however.

•Good price tag•Room for 16GB of Ram•Decent on-board graphics𔅚 SATA ports•Smaller than max m-atx spec size (this board is 244mm by 200mm) •No DVI port𔅘 of the SATA ports are stacked (which may well make cabling tricky)•Only one included SATA cable With all the negative critiques I was prepared to send this board back if one thing turned out to be messed up, but following testing all the ports, RAM, CPU, audio, etc, I couldn't find any flaws. The board appears to compromise a bit on the functions and ports to get the price tag down (no DVI wha?) but all the downsides I listed here were irrelevant to my construct, and the pros had been what I required. I'm happy so far (about a month of ownership).
