Comments: The memorex dvds are crystal clear on my dvd player. They haven't turned into coasters yet. Only problem is that I payed $xx free of charge shipping and now it's $xx.00, just my luck. But the delivery was fast.

Memorex 100 Pack 16X DVD+R Media in Spindle
Comment:
Fantastic price at one of the locals. Most would not hold a burn or take burn. 3 diverse bruners, and they all had complications with them. Nonetheless trying to sort them out, as a lot of times they would burn and verify, and then later would fade out and not read. I make 2 burns per data, and have to go back and assure them all, and even then I have doubts that they will hold, so a waste of 100 and work doing them, and possibly information loss too. Often you get what you pay for.

Memorex 100 Pack 16X DVD+R Media in Spindle
Comment:
I have to revise my prior evaluation of this product. The last batch I received was diverse from other orders: it had a clear leading rather of the dot pattern. They had been TERRIBLE, reminded me of some ultra cheapies I had when bought. I'm averaging 10 coasters for every single 1 superior disc. Given that I have gone through so a lot of, there was no point in contact Newegg about a replacement. Even so, I will no longer buy these, since I can\'t be sure of what I'm obtaining. I will also tell my pals to quit ordering from here. I'm disappointed. I don't know if Newegg is just clearing out old stock, acting as an intermediary for a different vendor, or what. This is the very first time in three years I've had a difficulty with a Newegg item. On the other hand, I can't risk (or afford) to take one more chance.

Memorex 100 Pack 16X DVD+R Media in Spindle
Comment:
The price was superior for the items and the shipping was decent as far getting here. Opened the box and the column that holds the DVD's is broken and there is about 6-9 feet of crunch/stung brown paper and a 1x1 piece of buble wrap along the sides of the box but absolutely nothing truly abosrbing any shock due to careless movement and thereby I said the packing job was the worst I have observed ever. Can't say anything of the product yet, although some of the bottom discs have a couple of scratches I don't feel it will hamper the functionality. I hope this will allow somebody to know the people today in the wharehouse will need to do a far better job.

Comment:
When they burn successfully their golden. 86% coaster rate! low QC, visible imperfections. They won't burn at 16x, occasionally 8x but usually at 4x or lower. Half the time XP & 7 won't recognize them and when I burn them they fail to verify on 7 and show up as blank with only XP being able to read the information. I bought them at a nicely recognized nationwide retailer and they stated that these get returned lots.According to ImgBurn the discs are "Ritek-F16-01"s.Get Memorex & Maxell CD-R's. They're made by CMC out of dozens I've had 3 or 4 coasters.Newegg rocks!

I have been using these for at least the past 4 years for backing up data and burning movies. Memorex has been excellent in providing customer support and have sent replacements if the problem is big enough.

memorex always meets the need. no problems. fine playback. sadly, the spindle cover is now threaded, not tabbed for locking, like originally. chintzy, can pop loose. the media is excellent.

exceptional quality and price!
Comment:
out of 500 discs I had 2 that were bad (and that was not an error on the disc but with my DVD burner.) For the price, this set of discs can't be beaten. the one complaint i have is the shipping packaging from this site. In some cases the disc spool can bounce around in transit and the lid can come off. Luckily the time this happened to me did not damage any discs or the other items in the container.

Check your Burner!
Comment:
I haven't had ANY bad burns with these Memorex Discs. I use a Memorex DVD+R Burner to burn my Memorex Discs (something to be said about using the same brand stuff maybe?). I also remember that although the burner wants to burn them at speeds in excess of 40+, I have to set it to the proper speed that the media is RATED at (Yes folks, that 16x MEANS something). Great discs, Great Price. At ''Bad''Buy the 100 pack of Memorex DVD+R's is STILL $20 more...

Possably The Best Deal On Blank DVDs
Comment:
Every now and then you get lucky and a store has a big sale or a clearance, but this deal is ALWAYS. You can have these shipped right to your house in less than a week for MUCH LESS than these things cost in stores. And its a name brand. A lot of reviews compare and contrast... but its a Blank DVD! They either work or not, and these always work. You want to know what happens when you burn a movie? It burns as fast as your BURNER and PROGRAM will allow, and then it plays in any DVD player. What else is there to say? lol

These seem to be almost as good as other brands I have used. The price seemed right at the time and I am happy with that. I havenb't had an unusual mortality rate with these, but haven't realy used to many yet.

Memorex 100 Pack 16X DVD+R Media in Spindle
Comment:
In my experience with Memorex DVD's it has been poor. out of a stack of 100 i got 45 to work and a lot of the time it says there is no media in the drive, or the dicks already has media on it, when i know there isnt any, i use Nero 7,8, & 9 all on different computers and Nero works fine, so i contacted Memorex a few times about this happening to me more then once about there failing DVD+R's. They said i must be burning them at a faster rate then what they can handle and i should slow down my burn speed, i already told them that i already burn at low speeds and they still dont work correctly. they gave me no answer about that just saying that they would replace the DVD's that have not worked. i got new 100 pack in 3 weeks (got 87 to work out of that pack) some advice to those out there these are DOA DVD+R's i have the same problem with there DVD+R DL's DOA i say! X( if you can find better ones then you buy them. So far most DVD+R's i have used i have found none that are really relia

Comment:
I do a lot of burning and seldom have any problems with any of the various brands of discs I use. I agree with the previous comments by Tom. If your getting alot of coasters than you should look to your own equipment. As a matter of note i did have a lot more problems with an older, slower system I previously used.

Memorex 100 Pack 16X DVD+R Media in Spindle
Comment:
I've used 300 of these and have had 4 failures. I've also had about the same number of failures from Sony, Verbatim, Ritek, HP, Philips, ProDisc & Taiyo Yuden. I've never had the failure rates (half of a 100-ct spindle) that some users are reporting for this brand. For that matter, I've never used a brand with failure rates like that. I've successfully used these, as well as the other brands mentioned, on several machines and several different burners with near perfect results. There are a lot of other variables that can come into play when burning DVDs and I think that there may have been other factors involved with the users having high failure rates. For the most part, a stable system, good software and a good burner have proven highly successful regardless of the brand of media that I have used. By the way, there are a lot fewer actual manufacturers of blank media than there are brands - a lot of brands are the exact same media from the same manufacturer.

Memorex 100 Pack 16X DVD+R Media in Spindle
Comment:
If you have problems with these discs, then your burner is garbage. Or you are doing something wrong like using crap noob software (NERO). These are pretty much the best discs you can buy and the price is great, too. Other manufacturers' discs (SONY, HP, etc..) are a total waste of money as half of your spindle will be coasters before you open the package. I don't know how Memorex makes these great discs and can sell them so cheaply compared to pretty much every other brand, but they obviously know what they're doing.

Comment:
I don't know for sure if another disc will burn faster like the other reviewers but I really don't care. As I see it these DVDs will burn plenty fast enough, and you can never go wrong with Memorex. I have never have a problem with a dud disc after about 110 burns. The guy with the bad review must have done something wrong. Also with other cheaper brands, I've found that after a while dvd players have troubles reading them. Memorex is just simply better quality disc.

Comment:
have bought a ton of these, and have never had a dud yet. Bought two 100 packs around christmas and I am about through the first and have had a couple spindles before these. They are exceptional, always burn at 16X, and worry free. I had some old 8X memorex disks that I had problems with but the modern 16X I have NEVER had a problem with. Great performance!
