Amazing type aspect, looks elegant and sleek. Also comes in a dark cherry red color, but for my purposes, black is most suitable. Contains the basic necessities, the scroll wheel, left and suitable click and an extra button which by default, is the 'back' for browsing. Runs on two AAA batteries, and appears to have fantastic battery life; just keep in mind to close the back when you're not making use of it (it's how you turn off the mouse). Syncs swiftly and easily to the computer system with the USB (stores magnetically below the mouse's belly). Amazing design! The leading element of the mouse looks like it'll put on away swiftly with prolonged use, so make sure you clean it to wipe away moisture and dirt. The side button is placed far up and out of the thumb's way so you'll generally forget it is there. Also, the scrolling is incredibly loud. Extremely loud. Now, the deal breaker is right here- the scroll wheel is Incredibly weak. I had this mouse for approximately 1 week prior to it died out on me. You'll notice the mouse gets quiet, and starts to scroll more freely, then is responsive. You have to open up the mouse (problematic without having the appropriate tools) and then reinforce the wheel. The upside of this is that if you do have the appropriate tools, it'll take much less than 5 minutes. Also, you'll get rid of the mouse clicking annoyance, making this a fantastic mouse. TO Fix THE WHEEL:Take out your batteries. With a sharp knife, get rid of the sticker below the barcode quantity, revealing three screws, one of which is a hex. (Bah!)With the knife or a flathead screw driver, remove the top two feet, revealing four far more screws.Remove the screws. (Note- if you do not have a hex screwdriver, like I did, and don't thoughts scratching up the inside of your mouse, use the knife to widen the hole about the screw head, and use thin-nose pliers to loosen it just before making use of a standard + screwdriver to eliminate it completely.)Right after removing all seven screws the top really should come off effortlessly. The wheel is held in location by grey plastic; lift the prime board up and the wheel need to come cost-free.Making use of a square piece of tape, cover the end that went into the scroll slot. Make positive it will not hamper your scrolling (test scroll to see if it scrolls smoothly). Insert batteries to test the scrolling. It really should function.Close it up and you're fantastic to go!

Incredibly good look. No drivers required.Simplistic and easy to use.Decent battery life.Very great range. Bought 3 of these. A single from Newegg. Two from a nearby retail retailer.Very first one stopped working following two months. It would click and correct-click but couldn't move the cursor.Second a single had the infamous scroll wheel challenge. Was in a position to repair it by opening it up and applying a incredibly tiny quantity of superglue. No complications with the third one, but it is applied far much less than the other individuals. The button on the side is inconveniently placed.

It has a excellent really feel, and superior management of idle use than its predecessors. The center button click finally feels right in comparison to the other notebook laser mice Microsoft has put out (previously Really hard to click that middle button).I am picky about the lag in wireless mice, and this one has not disappointed me but. (Bluetooth mice drive me nuts) The laser tracking is situated at the front tip of the mouse. Offered that most mice locate the tracking at the middle of the mouse, this one particular takes a small acquiring used to.You'll discover that it is much more sensitive on the X-axis than the Y-axis, due to the fact you're utilised to center-tracking instead of top rated-heavy tracking. For some purpose, Microsoft has felt compelled to jack up on the pointer speed on their wireless laser mice. They in no way had this problem with the Optical line. Nevertheless, the native speed of this mouse has been tweaked to a tiny faster than usual. So, on laptops, you'll have to come across the balance in between touchpad being as well slow and Arc mouse being as well rapid. It reminds me of a "phaser" from Star Trek.

Comment:
This mouse is very nicely produced (though I've read about scroll wheel complications after extended use), it's particularly portable in it's included panel case. The USB receiver (the size of the leading half of a thumb) squeezes in the underbelly of the mouse and folds up for a tiny size.Sooo smooth. I take this from household to operate each and every day for basic gaming on my laptop (CSS, Doom 3) and this really gets the job performed for work or play, particularly comfortable style and the area where your hand rests is coated in silky smooth material (teflon, felt?). The bottom of the mouse also has teflon contacts for the places exactly where it rubs the table/desk, so that the laser is just slightly above the table, not finding scratched, but nevertheless getting a excellent reading of movement. I really like the side button, even though some are hating on it... I don' think it's specifically effortless to accidentally activate it.Silky smooth tracking, somewhat high default speed, comfort, portability, quoted 6 month battery life, 2 AAAs came wi This reminds me of a RAZR phone, a difficult knock on the folding joint though either are open will tear this to shreds. Don't give this to your 5 year old to play Duke Nukem so they can slam it on the desk. If you can keep in manage and not bounce the issue whilst open I'm certain it will be fine.Only other con is that it's a small expensive, I got it as an unexpected gift and the factor is really excellent for that, a nice surprise for an individual who appreciates high quality and comfort in the style.I have to admit that the 30ft range is a significant exaggeration, does not operate from the kitchen counter to the living room (HTPC connected to LCD Tv) ㅌft. Extended range is a lie, but as opposed to my other garb4ge mouse, the wireless is unaffected by obstructions like Television's, cabinets, and so on. signal plows suitable via them like butter... don't know about a wall, doesn't matter unless you can see through walls I guess. You consider Mac design is very good, check this device out... laughs at the clunky and overpriced mighty mouse, with a small smoother tracking and waaay better clicking (plus I hate that tiny tiny scroll button on the mac mouse). It's a tiny too fancy for me to have bought it for myself (โ is steep for a mouse IMO), but what a great gift. Not everyone will enjoy this mouse, I do, but I like the ergonomic sort items and attempt to be quite careful with my electronics. No additional danger of breaking this than an ip0d nano. For automobile enthusiasts this mouse looks and operates like the BMW Z7, other individuals I've employed now really feel like a Hummer.

Loses an egg for being pricey and not getting bluetooth, but I wouldn't return it, I adore the factor. =)

1.) Great portability and utility2.) side mouse button makes it effortless to navigate webpages3.) functions on virtually any surface very well (tested on bedsheets for stored videos and on other odd surfaces) Soon after about two weeks the left click button began to function like the side button on the mouse. It would take me backwards when navigating the net and when i applied the mouse for gaming where i had those buttons mapped for my other mouse (RAZER naga) it would use that capability everytime i clicked. didn't maintain the original packaging so newegg won't RMA. talking to microsoft support... we will see Excellent although it lasted! if it didn't break would acquire yet another, may well anyway

I've use a LOT of mice and this one is absolutely my favorite. So accurate and so lite. Its also excellent for a media center Pc mainly because the range is very far and doesn't call for line of website. No recharge doc like my last mouse. Not actually a con though. As I was writing this assessment I realized that the mouse truly folds up. I could just put this thing in my pocket.

Excellent design! The mouse clicks softly and silently. The arc design is really ergonomic, fits comfortably with the hand form. There is a layer of non slip material on the mouse which is very fantastic. The storing of the mouse when it is not in use is amazing, how it folds into the center and shops the usb inside. There is a slot underneath the mouse to store the usb and the slot is magnetic so the usb clicks into it appropriate away. Very good way not to loose the USB considering that its so modest! Feels kind of fragile inside the joints.

lightweight, compact, comfy (even for me with my bigger-than-average hands). Smooth and uncomplicated to operate, handy for travel, simple to set up poor battery life, limited functionality, no thumb button for lefties i've been making use of this mouse for about ten months, and in that time I've had to replace the batteries about as soon as per month (which is considerably too usually in my opinion). beyond that annoyance, this mouse gets the job carried out. it's good for people who use their notebooks on the go.i use it with an hp notebook with vista 32-bit. set up (if you can even call it that) is the easiest thing ever. literally just plug in the USB receiver and you're completed. as travel mice go, this one is an exceptional option. it folds up out of the way when you're not employing it, and is bigger than typical travel mice. just don't forget to maintain some fresh AAA batteries with you when you're out and about.

Tiny when folded, stores the USB receiver in itself, turns off when folded, lightweight. Superior travel mouse for those who can't stand the size of a miniature notebook mouse The infamous scroll wheel difficulty. This was sufficient for me to take two whole eggs off. Inside a month, scrolling began skipping unless scroll wheel was pushed to the left throughout scrolling, and after yet another month all scrolling was impossible. Opened up, dried a layer of superglue on the wheel's mounting rod, and it works fine once more. Still, shouldn't have to fix that myself, specifically so soon right after acquiring it. I have yet another mouse with issues that I have to fix about once a year, but that mouse is ӳ years old, so breaking is acceptable. Breaking at one month old is notFor those needing to open up and fix it, smaller Phillips and Torx size T6 is required. Bottom of mouse, 2 screws under each pad near the front, and 3 Ƒ is Torx) under sticker in battery compartment (total of 7 screws). Pull open, pull wheel out, layer some superglue on the rod that inserts into the socket, let dry, replace wheel, spin wheel to test for clicks, repeat superglue if needed, repeat test if essential, reassemble. Not hard at all, but just require time to sit down and do it.

Looks, nifty attributes when making use of intellipoint, sensitive enough for just about anything. The transceiver is very smaller and doesn't get in the way of anything.Personally it's a superior fit for my hand. With the optional software program you can map the side button (or any of them) to do whatever you want. This is quite nice for any kind of creative software or other large programs. Also, this makes a excellent wireless presenter due to the fact of it's shape. Range isn't fairly what they advertise. Anything additional than about 6 ft is no good. Also the signal from the transceiver appears to be slightly directional. The default button mappings in intellipoint are rather useless. You have to change the middle click to middle click and the side button is default "back"...You don't have to worry about this if you don't use windows or don't install intellipoint. I wouldn't suggest this or any wireless mouse for gaming, occasionally it will drop out for a half of a second, but this seems to be widespread amoung all wireless mice. I preserve forgetting to flip it shut to turn it off. I'm only giving it four stars due to the fact of the small range of the wireless signal. If you have this plugged into the back usb ports on your program, chances are you will have to remain fairly close. The advertised range will function only if the receiver is pointed at the mouse.Overall, it's a wonderful mouse, i use it for my lappy and also my desktop.

Collapsible, Smooth, and Comfy. Side button is a small to a lot forward on the mouse. You have to move a bit to push it. Not truly a large deal though. Some men and women have had issues with the scroll wheels breaking, but i haven't run into to this but. Hopefully MS has fixed this by now.

Pros: Easy to control, a small can move across the whole screen using the same settings as the old ball mouse.

Cons:sensor placement, thumb button locaction, new model coming out

Pros:good sale price, folds up, thumb button, reasonably ergonomic
Comment:
I really only have two minor gripes with this, the thumb button can be difficult to reach as its pretty far forward on the mouse. The sensor location is also in a weird location for some right handed people. IMO mice sensors should be under centered under the palm or fingertips. Not under the fingertips and off to the right.

Cons: Optical sensor hole prone to having dust/lint stuck in it. Wireless signal can drop  if something is placed between mouse and usb transmitter (glass for example).

Pros: Price, good range, usb transmitter is very small, cool looking design.
Comment:
I use this mouse with an HTPC in my living room, so it usually rests on my couch about 12 feet from my computer. It works good for the most part except that my previous mouse (which I broke) was able to work on my couch without a mousepad. With this mouse, the optical sensor hole easily gets lint/dust stuck in it, so I have to use a mouse pad. One other minor annoyance is that if I have something on my coffee table that comes between the mouse and the usb transmitter, it often will interfere with the signal. Although I'm not disappointed overall, I would probably try something else if I needed a new wireless mouse.

Cons: The compact and light-weight design does pose a big threat, I believe, because I can see anyone who is anyone easily destroying this mouse by dropping, hitting, or sitting on it.

Pros: Many. From the compact and contemporary design to the quick responsive functions.
Comment:
Great product. I stand behind this mouse on any aspect that it has to offer. I'm using it right now with my laptop to write this review. The greatest thing about this mouse is the light-weight and folding design that allows any user to move and use it discreetly. For being so light, I am afraid of obliterating this thing by accident. I've had a few close calls to breaking this thing because I forget it's around some times.Definitely recommend this product to anyone who's on the "go" a lot, especially students like myself.
