I needed a mouse for my laptop and this mouse fit the bill for me. Fits the hand perfectly, comfortably and logically. Easy on and off with a neat place to store the USB Receiver. Maybe a bit expensive for some but I felt I could live with it considering the quality and ease of operation.

Well designed, you'll get used to it
Comment:
I saw a friend with a knock off of this product, but I couldn't find it so I ordered the 'genuine' version. The mouse fits my big hand well and, just like me, you will work out a comfortable position soon after starting to use it. It works and connects effortlessly and usually gets weird looks from my friends. The third button is poorly placed and very firm. Works on 99% of flat surfaces

Great for travel!
Comment:
I love this mouse! Especially for travel. Good: receiver is small and attaches to mouse when traveling. Good battery life. Works well on all sorts of surfaces. Dubious: I bought this one as a replacement after the center wheel of an older one gave out after a year and a half of use and will no longer scroll. The fact that I bought a replacement just like it should speak to my opinion of this product.

Great product
Comment:
Buyed 2 of them. Design is perfect. A bit difficult to use at first becaue the laser led is placed under the fingers instead of under palm (center) like most other mouse devices. Not as precise as gaming mouse. Highly recommended.

Microsoft Arc Mouse - Black
Cons:poor placement of the side button

Pros:Great little mouse, comes with a sweet pouch
Comment:
I use this mouse on my netbook - the touchpad is driving me nuts. This mouse does the job perfectly. It has the same cool finish my Razer lycosa has and looks quite sexy.I'm not happy about the side button placement, I find it awkward to use.

Microsoft Arc Mouse - Black
Cons:Pointer speedTransceiver sizeLaser locationScrollwheel quality

Pros:Aesthetics (sleek unique shape)Size (folded)Laser trackingMagnetic clip-on transceiverCarry bag
Comment:
Great laptop/notebook mouse in a unique package that's both very aesthetically pleasing and portable.Microsoft really paid attention to detail here with such apple-esque features as a transceiver that magnetically clips onto the base of the mouse, carry bag that's just the right size for the folded mouse that "again" magnetically closes, and an automatic on/off sensor as the mouse is unfolded/folded. The Arc is also very small when folded and because it uses 2 AAA batteries, it's relatively light. The cracks in this design start appearing once you get comfortable with this mouse. First there's the strange location for the laser tracker, which is off-center to the right of the mouse. This makes for some weird movements when the Arc is pivoted around a centerpoint. Most likely this location was due to physical constraints which is one of the first sacrifices this mouse makes for the sake of portability. Delve a little deeper into the Arc experience and you'll quickly notice the scroll wheel's like an ugly sore on an otherwise sleek design. In other words, Microsoft really cheaped out on the wheel and it feels like a wheel that would be found in a $5 mouse. It also doesn't help that online feedback's filled with failing scroll wheels. To be fair, mine is still working perfectly while some have claimed it to fail within hours and days. Now if you're using the Arc on a laptop (which most of us will), the sensitivity of the Arc and the integrated trackpad on the laptop will very likely be different. Ok, so all we have to do is change the mouse pointer speed settings within the OS. In my case, I set the pointer speed to somewhere around 20% (that's how sensitive the Arc is on default) from a default of 50%. Great, the mouse now tracks normally without the cursor trying to fly off the screen. Then I switched to using the laptop's synaptic trackpad again. Uh oh, it's now moving the speed of a pregnant hippo. So, switch the pointer speed setting back to before? Oops, now the Arc's cursor wants to imitate an F-16 again. You get the idea. I've tried searching and applying solutions to this seemingly straight-forward problem but none of them are automatic solutions at all. Best I've come across is using a hotkey to switch between slow and fast pointer speeds. However, that's not a very refined solution and considering this is Microsoft's OS and mouse, I expected better. My last comment here is on the "micro-transceiver"; it's certainly small but unfortunately sticks out enough that it must be removed whenever the laptop/notebook is transported. It's nowhere near the small size of the Logitech Nano's transceiver. I need to take a step back and remind myself that the Arc and Nano aren't in the same price range so some concession must be given the Arc.This mouse is an amazingly packaged gadget. But the flaws start showing early and often. The mindset for using this mouse would have to be treating it as a reduced-function portable mouse, which it is. As long as one doesn't think of it as a high performance desktop mouse, you'll have no trouble appreciating this work of art as it easily out-shines most other mouses designed for portability.

Cons:None yet

Pros:Folds up, great for travel/laptops
Comment:
The Microsoft Arc Black 2.4 GHz Wireless Laser Mouse WINDOWS/MAC USB Retail is a great product. Great for laptops as it folds up into a neat little package. Got it on sale which is also a added bonus.

Microsoft Arc Mouse - Black
Cons:Response is just a tad slower than my normal mouse.. mouse wheel feels slightly loose. Supply your own 2x AAA.

Pros:Looks cool. Nice and curved. Easy to stow. Comes with a pouch.
Comment:
Pros:I really like how it allows my fingers to be curved while using it, it was just what I was looking for. It's nice and light. The wireless usb/tranceiver is tiny, and attaches magnetically to the bottom of the mouse under the back folding part, and is secured when the mouse is folded. The folding action also doubles as a power switch. It also comes with a pouch.Cons:I feel that the response is subpar (very slightly delayed) compared to my mx518, and it may be due to it being a wireless mouse? It also doesn't feel quite as accurate, sometimes the pointer doesn't quite move to where I expected it would. If you are looking for a serious gaming mouse, this might not be for you.The mousewheel is slightly loose and wiggles a little from side to side.It fits 2xAAA, and it doesn't come with any charging capability, so you'll have to supply your own batteries.Otherwise, it makes for a great portable/laptop mouse. And it just looks plain cool!
