Thornton Rating: Review Date: 11/24/11	Microsoft C8G-00004 Xbox 360 Common Controller Comment: It functions as advertised!Comes with a long cable, almost certainly 9 feet!Compatable with each Windows (including Win7 x64) and the xbox 360 console! An annoying adapter that goes from a serial connection to the usb connection for access to my computer. Whenever I step on the cable I tend to knock the adapter loose and have to reconnect it. I'd say this is a design feature, so that you wouldn't tug on the USB and potentially pull out the USB port altogether, but nonetheless its annoying for me mainly because I just feel it is too loose. *The xbox button on the center of the gamepad does absolutely nothing when the controller is connected to windows, effectively I would suspect that it gives battery charge details if you had the wireless version of the gamepad. This is what I have gathered from reading some of the aid menu's, but otherwise it serves no other function when hooked up to a laptop or computer.

I do a lot of PC gaming and after awhile my hands would start off to cramp up on. I utilized this new controller and I don't get as considerably cramping as I utilised to. I thought this was a problem with the controller, as it had been a decently long time since I bought it so I figured there was a problem with the internal motherboard in the controller. I read up online that this constant disconnecting and reconnecting is caused by shoddy rumble pads. So I had to pry open the controller, which isn't hard but it does remove the warranty, and manually had to unplug the rumble pads from the motherboard. After doing this, not only did the controller feel as light as a feather, but it also removed the constant disconnection problem.Of course, if the build of the controller was better, I wouldn't have had to do this.

Pros: Comfortable, well built, Windows live games have preconfigured profiles. Comment: Bought this for racing games and emulators. Totally happy with it since I bought it. It is solid and well built with many buttons and axis. CUrrently using it for Windows and did have it working for Emulators in Ubuntu.

Pros: - Very cheap once price-matched like 37$- Feels solide and well built. Comment: The controller of my best friend suddently stopped working, prolly because she was overtightening the cord so I bought her this as a replacement and it does the job perfectly.
