Comfortable and adjustable. The construction is okay. In-line adapter has volume controls and mute manage.Sound good quality is initially good.USB-powered. I almost never utilized the microphone, but after a though it broke the rest of the headset somehow. When the red light was off on the in-line mute control, I'd hear an annoying crackling each and every time I moved the headset. Naturally, this disabled the use of the headset and forced me to retain it muted, a enormous letdown. The padding on the earpieces chipped off swiftly, revealing the foam underneath. This was extremely uncomfortable right after a even though, and not a excellent sign of a top quality create. The physical controls for the microphone are weird. It feels like you could quickly rotate it all the way around, but you'd probably break something.Requires up a USB slot.Windows Live Messenger (MSN Messenger) nagged me continuously on startup about the characteristics of the useless huge "Live Contact" button. It's straightforward to accidentally press, and you'll virtually never use it on objective. Now, something playing by means of the headset crackles and adjustments excellent drastically anytime I move it the slightest bit. It's extremely an General, it's a great headset but has a short lifespan. I got it for no cost from Microsoft as portion of their Windows Live Club service, so I can't actually complain about wasting funds. I guess I'd advise it.

I got it quick, the sound and recording top quality had been leading-notch. If you're wearing it for more than a couple hours at a time, it seriously hurts your ears. Soon after about 6 months, the microphone stopped operating. Turns out the rotating boom wears away the wire for the mic. The speakers nonetheless perform excellent, although. I wouldn't obtain it once again. When I get around to replacing the mic, I'll spring for one thing far more pricey for the additional comfort and longevity.

None Microphone will break after a few months of use, faster if you tend to swivel the microphone boom.Drivers incorporate annoying Microsoft Lifechat software program shows popup windows, to convince you to use their chat computer software.Audio quality is mediocre, at greatest. Bass tends to make the speakers crackle and pop.Short USB cable. Unless you have USB ports on your monitor, you may possibly will need to use a hub or extension cable. Would absolutely not get once again.

Good audio excellent, Comfy for hours. Microphone top quality is good with vent and ts. Deep rich bass. Excellent for movies or games. If your gentle on your equipment i would recomend these to any person that wants top quality with no breaking the bank. Now that i identified them alot less costly im positive i will be purchasing far more in the future. Microphone cuts out soon after a couple of months of moderate use. so if you want the mic to last and work be straightforward on it. Often break at the volume box. I've bought five pairs of these they all end up the same way. Im a gamer largely and i identified these at a local store and believed id give them i attempt i orginally spent ุ dollars on them and since i discovered them i liked em so significantly im on my 5th pair. Thank godness i discovered them on newegg for ษ i was going broke acquiring these! They normally last anyplace from three-five months with the wear and tear i put on them. I still have all four preceding sets and the Headphones function fine but not the mic so it becomes useless for me pretty a lot.I bought these for the microphone primarily and that seems to always be the initial point to give out and like a earlier reviewer stated you can't open the volume box to repair anything and thats seems to be exactly where the issue generates.

-The sound top quality is comparable to my other high-end noise-canceling headphones. Not really up there, but it's actually excellent.-Cord is lengthy-In-line volume/mute-Voice clarity is outstanding It wasn't totally free Installation was a cinch. Incredibly effortless to use. My wife utilizes it to teach her online class and Skype, and I use it for on the internet gaming (DDO, C&C)

The sound good quality on these headsets is incredible. I was actually rather surprised at how properly they sound. The USB assists with the digital sound. The headsets fits nice and snug and doesn't pressure so a lot. It will take some time to put on them in though. These headsets were a pain to use if you like utilizing headsets on and off with your speakers. If I wanted to use the headset. I was forced to have to switch the playback devices to the headset for both the Playback and Recording. Then I had to switch the Creative Audio Control Panel to Headphones given that it doesn't automatically do it for the USB headset. Finally if I'm playing a game like Planet of Warcraft. I had to manually go into the sound settings and set it to the USB Headsets. This had to be completed Every time I want to switch in between the headsets and speakers. It was also substantially of a hassle. When I would stop employing it I had to put every thing back the way it was.Does not cooperate at all with the Creative Audio Console. Though my Inventive X-FI card tends to make it sound fantastic. For the sake of not losing my sanity. I ended up using a system referred to as soundswitch-3- temporary to permit me to switch between playback devices speedily. Other then the situation I had with the Creative X-FI, Inventive Audio Console system. These would have been a sweet headset. I ended up having to RMA due to the hassle of switching in between the headsets and speakers. These would be wonderful for an individual whom only uses headsets.

Major ears? No problem.Noisy background? See above comment? Still not a real difficulty (based on design, not electronics).Durability? Not a difficulty.Sound excellent? Wow, greater than any two-30$ headphones I've used to date.Microphone? Properly I use "Teamspeak, Vent, Internet chat" and no one particular complains. Good quality sound, excellent style, and it doesnt squeeze my ears. The call-chat button and the truth that Microsoft has gone to "Live-almost everything" (even when you dont have Live installed), knows that the headset is Live enabled and prompts you to install live drivers (on Win7) when you plug it in.Not a massive deal... install the driver, or click cancel.Next, (and this is my biggest gripe)-The headset fits several men and women really nicely, but, not all....Ahem.... "I have a large head"... It's pretty wide. This headset does not like huge heads (width wise) and squeezes your brains out. In reality, it will give you a headache if you wear it also extended from squeezing your skull.I kid you not. Attempt it, and if you have a massive head you'll agree also!!!But, the answer is uncomplicated, and worked well for me. I grabbed my trusty heat gun, and with a small care and patience I was in a position to heat the plastic on the top center adequate that I "released the arc" just a bit, and now take pleasure in comfort. I've owned it for a year now.I use it Each day, three+ hours most occasions.I enjoy it.(and I really like the comment about ignoring the wife), this headset gets me in difficulty.

Sound quality is fantastic. Plenty of volume and bass. Mic is crystal clear and sturdy. I speak softly so people today in the real world have a difficult time hearing me, but I'm effortless to hear on this. Easy to use. Exceptional noise cancelation. Solid construction. In line volume controls are right in the middle of the cord. Terrible placement. I spot it in my lap so I don't step on it or roll over it with my chair while gaming. Can really feel tight after a few hours of gaming. Got this to use with DDO and it functions flawlessly. I come across clearer and stronger than players making use of much more pricey headsets. It was effortless to split the installation approach and tell it not to make Live come up all the time given that I have no use for that. I'm not certain why some other men and women have had problems. The sound quality and noise cancellation are good. I had originally purchased this just to see if it was any good, and I would have been fine with tossing it and trying a thing more high-priced. It works wonderful, and my only actual complaint is the stupid cable mounted volume controls I only had to use when to dial everything in. I'm buying an additional a single as a gift...

incredibly excellent sound isolation, very good microphone, decent speakers alsoIncredibly Sturdy have not located any this is the 2nd set I have bought. I bought the old 1 in spring 2008 and they nonetheless function, nevertheless my kid beat them up pretty bad. I had to magic putty the microphone back , and duct tape the plastic holder in 2 places, but it nonetheless functions definitely fine, no sound distortion, no white noise. I purchased the new 1 because I got tired switching my old one particular back and forth amongst 2 Pcs. I hope this set will last me a though and will not take substantially abuse :)

Very lengthy cord Excellent excellent DurableIt just works Pretty much no bassGoes from 16 to 19 on volume level. Extremely bad sound smoothness when adjusting volume. In addition to the minor cons this is a headset i tell individuals to get. It just basically operates. Nothing fancy. It's fantastic high quality for 25 bucks and becoming 25 bucks it's extremely affordable also. Oh, and immediately after ten+ hours of wearing it still doesn't bother my ears. Possibly it does for some but at least for me it's fine. Wearing suitable now as i kind and forgot i am wearing.

Fairly inexpensive. No driver installation needed in XP. Microphone functions very well -- clear, low-noise, very good pickup. These things put a *serious* hurtin' on your head until they "break in", which takes quite a whilst. Way as well tight, on all size settings.Poor frequency response on the high end of the spectrum. Audio takes on a slightly "FM radio" kind compressed high quality. The inline volume/mute control is heavy, and you can most definitely "feel" it hanging there. It's also in a bad spot, so you can delight in the headphone cable slapping up against your shoulder/arm/chest consistently. Not really durable. I'm on my third pair, and all three have broken in exactly the similar style - cable comes loose or develops a short, and the proper (if the mic is on the left) speaker dies. They can at times be temporarily fixed by holding the cable in the sweet spot where it'll make a connection and duct taping it there tightly, but it only works for so extended. Seems to be a design flaw. Once again, very same difficulty with all three units. If you intend to use this thing for occasional voice chat, I'm sure it's fine.If you're intending to use it as a key headset for gaming or skype, or something that requires standard use, I'd advise you look elsewhere.

It was free of charge. Bass and overall audio excellent is truly fairly decent. This isn't a Skullcandy or Bose headset by any means but for a USB, random Pc headset, it Essentially was a bit much better than my initial expectations. If you want a inexpensive Pc headset for calls and just common audio then it's not a bad choice. Read my cons though. Also, haven't tested actual Contact High quality yet. I don't actually call folks through VOIP or anything like that so this review is STRICTLY for audio good quality with iTunes and gaming. This headset is TIGHT fitting. Not a snug fit but I'm talking a tight, hurts your ears following 20-30 minutes fit. Unless you have a small head, this headset will be rather uncomfortable. No dial for sound, it's two buttons, a single for reduce, one for raise. The actual in-line controls is bulky by most standards. There is no indicators for energy or anything, only a Mic mute/unmute indicator light. Leather material. My present key headset has a good sort of webbed cloth. Following making use of these and then switching to these, the distinction in comfort is.....noticeable. Key Headset: Turtle Beach X31 gaming headset.Straightforward installation, either CD and download from Microsoft, was rapidly and nearly PnP.It was cost-free. Did I mention that? Paired with numerous combos right here on Newegg. For a backup headset, they aren't negative. I would NOT advise generating this your main headset even though. While they operate properly and every little thing, the comfort level is adequate of a con to actually think about a thing else. Overall though, if you just want a backup headset, they're very good. The reality they had been cost-free and the sound good quality was above my expectations is adequate for four stars. Otherwise, I would give three.

-Fantastic sound excellent for the price tag-incredible durability, i've had these for virtually two years and it nonetheless functions-comfy to wear -Mic became unable to use immediately after 1 year as the wires came loose and would result in any sound going trough to sound like static-Wires in speakers started coming loose about 5 months ago and would cause a loud crackling sound, but fixed it by looping the cord around the mic base so the connector from cord to speaker wasn't becoming pulled, haven't had a issue given that general very good sound a durability for the price tag, and dosnt hurt to wear for prolonged periods of time

Microphone is outstanding - excellent voice high quality and pickup. The sound excellent of the headphones is simply not great. They're uncomfortable and have close to zero bass response. I ended up leaving the headset sitting on my desk talking into the mic and working with my old Sony IR headphones. After an hour or two of gaming my ears hurt like heck. The USB connectivity drew me to this headset - I was making use of them for gaming but they are possibly better suited for skype or voice chat types of services.

Low-cost. Decent sound and mic quality. Great if you are a straight-shooting all-and-only-MS guy (or gal). You get what you pay for. three eggs due to the fact other thoughts, I tend to not like gear that decides to murder my other hardware and computer software. If you use international hotkeys in anything non-MSoft with this headset, such as programs like winamp, vlc, media player classic, and so on or hardware such as a G11 keyboard, this device will override and permanently disable the multimedia buttons and even uninstalling this device will not undo this. Be warned/prepared to registry tweak.

Somewhat comfortable, decent sound/mic good quality, effortless to use USB interface. I had two pairs of this headset. Both broke the very same way, immediately after just two months of use. The connection to the mic just absolutely crapped out. So unless you just want to use these as headphones, without having the voice chat capability, they are going to lose their use right after a short time. Also, the in-line volume control is a bit too effortless to get hit. Although wearing the headset, the volume buttons would often get pushed, and a lot more annoyingly, the microphone mute would get turned on too. I may possibly choose these up if they had been in the sub-ten$ range, maybe. Something a lot more and it would be throwing away the income.
