Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 USB Headset
Comment:
The headset fits nicely and comfortably. It worked best for what I was employing it for, flight simulator. Everyone could hear me really clear and I could hear them and all other sounds quite well. Soon after a half a year of usage the headset went out and is a no go anymore. It started to crackle and cut in and out to the point where they were unusable. I guess for the quantity of usage for a total of a half a year it isn't too bad. It's worth taking off two eggs although. For the care that was put into it this really shouldn't have occurred. Make contact with Microsoft assistance and a new one is on the way. Fantastic support on their component!

Mic top quality decent, no troubles understanding me.Speakers ok, fairly quiet, but hits highs and base well. not excellent for gaming or quiet folks. Earpiece snapped off with perhaps 10 pounds of pressure! I stood up at my desk to plug in a USB in the back of my laptop or computer with these on my head, and whilst i was leaning my head crooned forward with the cord stuck at my belly between me and my desk. The earpiece with the mic snapped off. Now it's fastened together with a live-strong bracelet which somewhat keeps it together, and i use it by strapping it to my head like a ridiculous headband, resting the earpieces on top of my ears. generally uncomfortable on your ears right after a while. too significantly pressure for my rather huge head. Headsets are an important part of gaming, movie, and music knowledge. don't be afraid to invest ㅪ+ bucks for a decent headset, especially if your motherboard supports surround sound. My new surround sound headphones work awesome!

I have had these headphones for more than 3 years. I have no difficulties what-so-ever. These have great sound good quality, you will be in a position to choose out each and every sound. The microphone also works wonderful. It puts out excelent high quality for the cost of these. The only con i have with these, is that immediately after five or a lot more hours of wearing these, they begin to hurt your ears. I'm not positive if its the headphones, or the fact that i wear glasses. I am a gamer on the Computer, and i always use these headphones. They work good.

A great and low cost headset. The Mic is on the left side of the headset rather of the right, and there are some silvery/white plates on the side. The only genuine con is that the Mic is on the left side, but that just bugs me and doesn't make this any less of a item.

These phones look sharp. I have discovered that they are quite comfy for long periods of wear. The sound is extremely superior, and the mic is decent. I have used these from Flight Sim, Teamspeak, and have made numerous podcasts with them. The volume button wedge is heavy, so heavy that it has pulled the cord sheath away from the phones. There is no shirt clip or other strain relief. You WILL accidentally hit the mute/call button several occasions. Cord is really short. You evidently can not disable the call button function. Micorosft computer software is obtrusive and demands many updates. These would be a good pair of initial phones. I have only supplied my two cents as I saw these on here as I am shopping for a replacement set to counter the misgivings. Having my phones muted for the duration of battle one too a lot of times and annoyed with the volume wedge is enough for me to seek a new pair.

Amazing headset for the value. Comfortable. Audio good quality is far better than expected. I've had this thing for more than a year, and I've dropped it from my desk countless occasions and sat on it when (flexible but powerful). The microphone just now went out. Other than the microphone going out, no cons, truly. Worth the cost, lasts forever.

These headphones are good! I bought them for Skype/PC Gaming and the sound is incredible. The depth and crispness of the sound is a lot more than I could ask for. The fit is comfortable. I'll be making use of these in Iraq so I'll update with how durable they are. They're sold out and I want to obtain my wife a pair! You don't need to load the software program that comes with the package unless you want to use the Microsoft LifeChat.

It functions but like most USB headsets I have tried, windows occasionally gets confused about what apps it will and will not work with. Much more of a fuctuion of Windows that the headset. The supprt bar is uncomfortble for those that are folically challenged. Calls for some further padding.

Sound is Amazing top quality, amazing bass, fits more than ear Extremely comfortably, and finest of all, USB! Works with Vista beautifully for my games (Left 4 Dead, Counterstrike, and Team Fortress two). Also has nice background noise reduction. Overall, greatest pair of headphones I have owned therefore far, and I have owned numerous. Wish the microphone was not so significant, but a little sacrifice for excellent These headphones are easily worth ๠ IMO. Seriously blew me away with how nice they are.

I own a Microsoft Digital Sound Method 80 from about 15 years ago that is nonetheless going powerful. Microsoft hardware is way better than most think. This headset is very good excellent and puts me in an alternate reality as all excellent headsets ought to. Cost is appropriate. Doesn't hurt my ears. Mic appears to function just fine. Inline volume control has a Live Messenger call button which is practically totally useless to 95% of reality. Inline control is fairly big. Note too that these are USB-only which bugs me but in all probability doesn't matter to most. These are so sound-tight that although I'm programming I can't hear the phone next to me ringing. Great! The world won't listen and for ฮ you don't have to either.

Cancels sound fantastic.Clear reception, I have no challenge hearing folks.Straightforward mute, volume controls.Works with skype, steam, GFWL.Individuals tell me they hear me crystal clear, as if I'm speaking on the telephone. It hurts my ears and becomes uncomfortable though playing because the hearphones are a tad modest. Yet another evaluation stated that there's continuous spam popping up about microsoft messenger but if you uncheck the appropriate items when you install the software, you'll in no way be bothered by anything.

Great excellent audio for voice chat (Skype), my caller can hear me loud & clear and I hear them perfectly as nicely; the greatest audio high quality headphones I have owned. Plug it into a USB port, Vista automatically detects and starts using it. Generous long cord. Adjustable height and movable mic boom. I have employed this headset many hours every day for the past 2 months, it gets tossed about fairly a bit between uses, and it's still operating superior. I maintain accidentally bumping the microphone mute button which is quite annoying. My ears get sweaty right after a couple hours of use (eww tmi). I from time to time get a hair snagged in them when adjusting the headphone height. I wish there was a positive lock to keep from bumping the microphone mute button on. Perhaps I'll flood it with super glue ...

I've had these headphones for over two.five years, and they just started going out on me. The incoming/outgoing sound is really clear. I am able to watch movies/TV on-line with out any challenge and when working with voice chat programs, people today are able to hear me but not the music playing in the room. As other people have noted, the volume/mute control is in a slightly awkward position, but easy to get utilized to. Great set. I'm buying a second set due to the fact I damaged the firstone

Sound is very good for the cost you pay for them. By the really feel of them out of the box they would appear flimsy or low cost, but so far they are extremely durable. Everybody I talk to online says I sound clear and crisp and I've never ever had any mic boom problems like those of you other people. None at all!! I've had my headset because I built my 3rd generation gaming desktop, which would be January of 2008. It is now March of 09 and I have not had any issues with it. I did have a hardware issue though with plugging it into the USB port in my Razer Lycosa keyboard, despite the fact that I've had a lot of concerns with just that USB port. This is a very decent headset for the price that it is at and I wish Microsoft would make something a lot more high end.In the end I decided to write a evaluation for these because I am in the approach of upgrading to an "audiophile" level headset. Even though I had not bought them from Newegg - sorry newegg - I got a excellent deal on them at Ideal Obtain. I recommend these to all of you who won't invest a lot more than it is priced for.

- Excellent Sound Good quality- Decent Price - Not quite comfy on the ears- Breaks and dies out very easily (below)- The microphone died soon after 4 months.- The volume controller began finding loose wires following only a few months, forcing me to place it on my lap a certain way and not move for hours to keep decent audio. Been performing this for half a year, it lastly just died out since of this, I can\'t fix it due to the fact I cannot open it up.- The bridge above the head had its plastic snap appart just from getting it on my head (after 3 months?), this would not have happened if it was 1 solid piece of plastic rather of two. Luckily the other half stayed together and it was wearable. I'v owned this for about 10 months and it was a decent headset for the 1st couple of months but immediately after that it turned into a piece of junk.

This has usually worked great, in no way any issues when I use it, and I am able to hear anything when playing games. Comes shed following a whilst, perhaps just because of how a lot of people have used it, wear and tear. Commonly it's preference to the comfort. I like the size, and anyone I know who has employed it, liked the size and thought it was comfy too.

Ok audio high quality from mic To significantly bass. Listening to music on these is a painful expertise because the level of bass is just to a lot. There are no mid levels and the highs are to extreme. Working with with gmail google call is complicated because USB counts as yet another sound card. They also turn into uncomfortable after a short time but I do have a big head. These headphones mash up against your ear, they do not cover the entire ear like expert ones do. I would not get this product once again.

Clarity while gaming is superb, Video chat with my brother in CA from MD is excellent.USB connection makes for a quick handy transition from speakers to headphones.Fantastic durability for the price.Comfy even immediately after prolonged use.And of course the price!!! I am a notorious cheapskate and these have been properly worth the buy. No reasonable cons.Though I don't have a major head like some of the other reviewers. I say "Great durability for the cost" simply because let's face it absolutely nothing these days is built as it when was. But they stood the test of a 5 y/o (now 6) constantly dropping them and snatching them out of the USB connection when he would spin in the computer chair, forgetting he was wearing them (which in it's self speaks for the comfort level). In fact only lately did they develop a severed connection brought on most likely by getting snatched out so much by my son, but as I stated I'm a cheapskate so I just took them to work (I'm an EET) and repaired them.
