Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit
Cons:force close
Pros:aeroclean lookinglow system requirement Comment:
This upgrade was worth it. Windows 7 feels very snappy and the transition are elegant. However setting up network sharing and printers is not as convenient as in Mac OS X. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit
Cons:could be confusing at times, some might need some time to get use to, uses a lot of resources, doesn't seem that much faster than XP
Pros:stable os, nice graphical user interface, easy to use, lots of features Comment:
this is a nice 64 bit OS, still need some time to get use to it, i'm sure most people will after going from XP, but at least it better than Vista, all the drivers seems to be found ok with win7, and overall its stable and easy to use |

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit
Cons:None so far
Pros:Perfect upgrade from XP Comment:
Dont be that guy who spends extra on Ultimate and never uses the extra features, cause almost no one does. This is an excellent upgrade from XP and how Vista should have been, but Microsoft seems to put out a good OS, then a crap OS, then a good OS and so on. Stable, quick, easy to use and still has most of the administrative features offered in the old XP Pro. I think ill be using this till Windows 9 is released judging from what i am seeing from 8. |

By far favourite Windows, look nice and response snappy. Backward compatibility doesn't always work but does help with certain program to run without crashing. SP1 included. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit
Cons:Pretty damn pricey for something that's supposed to be used PER machine.
Pros:Got it for 129.99? lolBetter than Vista, that's for sure. Comment:
Really loving the XP mode program (downloaded from Microsoft). I can run all my old XP programs if I don't have the compatible Vista/7 versions. But still, damn expensive for a OS PER machine. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit
Cons:Resource intensive
Pros:Easy to use. More secure Comment:
This is a huge upgrade from Windows Vista. It's secure, robust, and fairly easy to use. It lets you search/execute programs just by pressing the windows key. I'm not sure how eight will be, but I recommend Windows 7. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit
Cons:Even at a price of $135, it would be nice if Microsoft treated repeat customers with better pricing.
Pros:Solid system, 64 bit, stable, WAY better than vista Comment:
Bought this with a new system and made sure it could handle the 16 GB of RAM plus the video and onboard memory (Windows 7 basic can only handle 8 GB total memory, Windows 7 home can only use 16 GB total memory). It runs fine and since I have used Windows 7 with several other systems I own, I am familiar with its layout. Given that I have purchased multiple systems, it would have been nice to get a price break from Microsoft. Hopefully this system lasts 10 years with this operating system. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit
Cons:- if you don't know how to turn it off the "administrator rights" thing can get quite annoying. (but it can be turned off if you know how to look for it or use Google)- I had a small white pixle on the top left corner for a few months but it went away.I can't recall if it was something I did or if they fixed it in a patch.
Pros:- very easy learning curve if you are moving from win XP- install is like any other OS. on my computer it took less than an hour Comment:
I've been a fan of windows XP for years. I had the vista trial and hated it, even after my friends got the full version I still didn't like it.I had the windows 7 trial and it was ok witch is a huge improvement from vista. When I got the money I bought it and this is by far better than vista and is a good improvement from windows XP.note: for people coming from XP or even people who use vista I would suggest going through all the visual settings to make it look "right" to you. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit
Cons:Doesn't work with an old printer.
Pros:Easy and fast installation. Comment:
I bought this for a home office system. The installation and setup was easy with no problems. I had no issues installing the driver disks provided with the hardware components purchased. The one problem I have is I can’t get a driver for an old HP laserjet printer to work. |

Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit
Cons:What can you say...it's Windows.
Pros:What can you say...it's Windows. Comment:
Got at $139.99, first experience with life after WinXP SP2. Get the odd, lock up for no-known reason, hard-locked overnight just downloading on steam, hopefully SP2 comes out soon, that was the turning point to having a stable OS with WinXP as well. |
The best of both worlds! It's faster than Vista and as fast as XP. I hope they are going to keep it around longer than expected, because as much as I try to like Windows 8, there is no way we are EVER going to deploy that in a corporate environment.
