Microsoft Windows 8 64Bit Full Version English OEM
Cons:non that i can think of

Pros:very very fast and quickvery responsive Options added to file explorer are very great
Comment:
Bought a Kingston HyerX 3K a month before this, and got to say, Windows 8 is much much faster than Windows 7. The new Start Menu is really good, i love searching things and it is really simple, even apps. Tested how long it takes to boot up, and it takes 10-12s to boot. I do dj with my laptop, and it decodes music much faster then it did in windows 7 for some reason, even though it should depend on the software. Rendering things in After Effects is basically the same, not much of a difference. All in all i would really recommend windows 8, but for someone who has a high end desktop, i would wait until service pack 1 comes out and they get all the driver issues fixed.

Microsoft Windows 8 64Bit Full Version English OEM
Cons:Metro UI (easy to fix though just download a start button like classic shell - did I mention there's no start button?)Does not run Lightsribe

Pros:FastClean appearance in desktopCloser to XP in file management and look (ie no aero)Storage Pool for combining drivesEasy - all drivers and devices immediately install
Comment:
Glad I upgraded, was not going to. Desktop is much better than W7. File Explorer is much improved (like a combo 2000/XP), faster, lighter, better looking, smooth fonts.Overall an improvement, just ditch Metro and get a start button (sheesh you think M$ would have an option to turn on/off these items).Try it, you'll like it.

Microsoft Windows 8 64Bit Full Version English OEM
Cons:no new features

Pros:speedcleantouch interface
Comment:
Windows 8 is basically windows 7 running under a tablet interface. It boots into a screen similar to those windows phone. To me, I directly go into the desktop mode and the other table-like features are redundant to me. I would say that there is no point to upgrade to windows 8 from windows 7 unless you own a touchscreen device.

Cons:apps!

Pros:fast boot time
Comment:
A big change over previous versions of windows. The fast boot time alone makes it worth the upgrade in my opinion. I don't like how windows seems to be moving towards apps. Before windows included a calculator, now you can download a calculator app for free, but it comes with advertisements.

Microsoft Windows 8 64Bit Full Version English OEM
Cons:Start screen not so intuitive. Takes a while to get used to it

Pros:Loads extremely fast
Comment:
Upgraded from Vista to Windows 8. Loads in about 27 seconds on a P5K with Core2 Duo u 3.0 Ghz and 6 GB RAM. WOW what a difference compared to Vista taking 5 minutes and longer sometimes. I wish I new before ordering from NCIX about the Microsoft direct upgrade special for 39.99 download version for WIN 8 Pro or 69.99 for a DVD version. Regardless of the extra $30 I paid, it is well worth the upgrade.

Microsoft Windows 8 64Bit Full Version English OEM
Cons:Kind of a smart phone OS... But most annoying is most apps are hidden... You can type in the app name and it will give you program options, which is great for an advanced user, but for someone learning, it may be difficult.. The only way to kill certain programs is Ctrl+Alt+Del.....

Pros:Relatively quick operating system and easy to learn. A lot of walk throughs and online video reviews...
Comment:
I actually love this operating system, much leaner and quicker than Windows 7. I actually like the METRO UI(or whatever M$ calls it). I actually do use the START MENU a lot, so I went out and bought Start8, it allows me to customize my start menu and key keyboard functions. But as suspected, I did have lose a few programs do to incompatabilities. They say it has natively supports 3D, but it still requires TriDEF(DDD) to game in 3D or watch videos in 3D..... I personally have never used the built in HomeMedia played function in Vista or Windows 7, so decided not to get Windows 8 Pro for this reason alone. Which I might add doesn't even play 3D Blu-Rays... But Arcsoft TotalMedia 5 rocks! As does DDD support 3D media file playback. I'm a bit puzzled with M$ for saying it supports 3D when in effect they have no programs or driver support for it... Until I upped to HDMI 1.4a, it was terribly flakey and confusing... Not that I'm blaming M$, its just they are saying it does, when really it doesn't, you have to jump through the same hoops with XP, Vista, Win7 to get 3D working too, just saying.. Hence why NVision is so successful, altho I us AMD HD3D myself... No operating syatem is perfect... But I do like the direction M$ is going with this.. once everyone just accepts the fact its a lot like a smartphone app, the easier it will to be to learn one way of computing.. Even on my XBOX360 and PS3, I have to go into settings to power off... At first it was annoying and made no sense to me, but hind sight being 20/20, I see a lot of other media experiences are heading in this direction too... So it kind of makes sense to me now... But I really suggest to anyone, go to youtube and watch some Windows 8 video reviews and walk throughs... IT WILL ALL MAKE SENSE... Just bear with it and don't ever give up. Get everything up and running perfectly, main programs you use then make a BDR system recovery disk, it all fits on one BDR..i7 380 u 4677MHZ watercooled GTZ, triple rad setupASUS P9X79ProTEAM 2133 16GB 4x4GB quad channel DDR32x HD7970 CrossfireHannsG 23.6"x3(EYEfinity)Optoma GT750e 3D projector HDMI1.4a
