Have been using this for about 2 months now and very happy with my switch to SSD. This mushkin has been solid with almost no crashes or freezes in Win7. It is so nice to be able to power down and boot back up into Windows in less than a minute. Highly recommended. |

For some reason, always like Mushkin for their ram and now give their ssd a try. Drive performance is very well, Windows and apps responded rather quick. Reading somewhere ssd drive performance will decease as data fill up. A lot of talk about TRIM and garbage collection this and that. I'll cross that bridge when I get there. |

I made the mistake of using Windows 7 restore disc image and my computer thought it was my old 500GB hard drive. When I did a fresh install of windows everything was OK. I think they should include some simple instructions for simple folks like me. |

I only have Sata2 on my motherboard so I am not using this SSD to the max but it still improved my system dramatically. I used Acronis to backup C: and then recovered to this SSD, set the bios to boot from the SSD and I was done.The 2.5 to 3.5 tray did not fit my Lian-Li case but they are readily available here and even hold two 2.5 inch drives. |

My laptop now starts in about 15 seconds with all applications fully loaded, and shuts down in about 3 seconds. Apparently these drives are prone to failing quickly but what people need to remember is that there are settings/services which need to be changed or turned off in Windows 7 when using an SSD.I've disabled hibernation, disabled the paging file, turned off indexing, turned off system restore, turned off caching. She's as smooth like butter. In my opinion this SSD is better than any other of the same class in terms of quality for dollar. |

I like the simple packaging and the performance, even on a SATA 2 motherboard. Mushkin released regular firmware updates and seems pretty reliable. Read performance isn't quite as fast as my Plextor M3 in benchmarks but not noticeable differences in real world use.Good storage capacity for Windows, favorite apps and games. I had to use a different 2.5" to 3.5" adapter, if you case uses screws for a tooless install they may not work. I did have the same issue with a OCZ adapter too but they appear to be exactly the same. |

I dont notice a speed difference between my intel 320 ssd and this one, but between any hdd and an ssd there is no contest.. Buy an ssd.. The firmware drivers are mature now and it'll change your computing forever. |

this is my first ssd drive installing and uninstalling programs is indeed faster than with regular hard drive, right now my board is sata 2 only so i should see more speed improvement when i will move to a sata3 boardi used a lockable sata cable, but like many have already mentioned, this drive is not compatible with, but as long as you don't move things around too much, it shouldn't be a problem, we'll see. |

I recieved this last week, installed win7 and a bunch of other programs, and a few games. Installed lastest firmware after win7 install (I think its 5.1 now) Everything was lighting fast. A couple times I noticed that the system froze for a second opening pdfs, Im not sure if this was due to the overall system or the drive itself. Anyway I didnt think anymore of it until this morning, listening to the radio the sound would stop, and then start, and then repeat about every 10sec, shortly thereafter the machine shutdown and now all I get is HDDO not detected in the boot and bios. Checked to make sure ACHI was on, and this was the case before I installed the new ssd as I read a few reviews like this one. Checking another online retailer they have had quite a few recent reviews of drives that die within a few days. I almost want to get another one but after reviews and this happening to me, Id rather not, even as cheap as this drive is. |

I upgraded to this from my Intel 320 120GB because I wanted more space, and I think I made the right decision. For a drive that can hang with the current top-rated ones (Vertex 3 Max IOPS, Patriot Wildfire, Kingston HyperX etc.) the price is simply ridiculous, and the product specs are terrific. No software included can be a bit of a drawback, and the packaging could stand a redesign - it's like Mushkin didn't even put in an effort. The graphics on the drive is also a bit meh... especially compared to the Patriot or the Corsair Force GT. However, nitpicking about the color (or lack thereof) just shows how good everything else is about this drive. I will update after further use of the product. |

Was tempted to go for a Vertex 4, but opted for this instead. It's the top rated SSD on the market according to Tom's Hardware's hierarchy list, and some members on the forums recommended it as well (thanks lsi).
