How straightforward can it be? You plug it in, it operates. Really expense powerful also, and compact. The box is blue-leaning-towards-ultramarine when I wanted blue-with-a-hint-of-azure-or-cobalt.... (Oh, wait, wrong critique web-site.)

I have over a half dozen of these scattered about work as duct tape for our ever-expanding modest network, and I haven't had a single port go bad on me however! This despite the fact that some of them are subjected to a lot of physical abuse. None.

Connects four Ethernet devices into 1 port of my router, Low cost, Modest, and Nicely built None Bought this for my entertainment Center to connect my 360 and HTPC together so i wouldn't have to run additional than 1 wire to my router. Gets the job accomplished and provides me 2 additional ports for a PS3 if i ever make a decision to buy 1.

works perfectly out of the box. need to open Nat in Motorola modem to attach xbox 360 and computer to operate. if your nat is set to private you cannot attach additional than one device at a time.i couldn't attach the cable into the 5th port, just wouldn't fit, but with some persuasion got it to go in soon after realizing the nat setting was set to private and opened it up i got it to operate perfectly but not positive if it came with a defect in the 5th port or it was my cable that messed it up, nonetheless works functions although.

Functions suitable out of the box. Unpacked it, plugged it in, plugged my router into it and I connected it to the pc I have my Magic Jack plugged into and my network Lexmark printer. Replaced the 4 port hub I had with no fuss and no computer software or configuring of any kind. I also like the metal housing, it shows good quality and durability. None

Functions with my TIVO.Solid, well built.Didn't have to go out and purchase a router. My upload and download speeds stay atwhat they need to be. None Wanted to use my TIVO to access the internet through the ethernet port.1. Plug the modem's ethernet cable into port 1.2. Plug the pc's ethernet cable into port two.3. Plug the Tivo's ethernet cable into port three. I can search the net, TIVO updates itself, and I have access to TIVO's net extras, all with no having to acquire a router. Excellent little box!!!

I required a simple, affordable switch to expand the hard wired part of our property network. This item seemed to be perfect and so far, it has been. Network stability has apparently improved and the switch is fundamentally transparent, which is what we want. Absolutely nothing negative about the unit. It's going to be intriguing to see how the rebate approach goes. The rebate condition for this obtain needed that it be bought by 12ቻ񳏊. I purchased it, and my credit card was charged on 12ቺ񳏊. Nevertheless, my invoice was dated 1Ǚ񳏋, so depending on how picky the rebate folks are, this invest in could not qualify. I did ask Newegg about it, and they supplied a Sales Order that showed the 12ቺ񳏊 date along with the payment, but the question is whether this is truly a receipt or not... Ironically, the rebate was renewed on 1Ǘ񳏋, and is now superior till threeቻ񳏋, so, if I had just waited a couple of days, there would not have been any problem. Of course, how could I know that it would be renewed? Here's hoping that Newegg comes via for me one way or the other...

This switch is wonderful. It does every thing it wants to, it is well built, and well-created. We own at least five+ of these in the IT department, and over two+ years has never ever failed us. Good for hotswapping computers onto the network, durable and compact. This is honestly the most reliable item I have owned. Dents are hard to get out, but go figure. Excellent device. I'm not a large fan of Netgear, but their Switches seem to be above and beyond. Excellent item.

Fast and dead straightforward to set up. We have them all more than the place. Least expensive way to get added ports when you require them. Given that they are just switches they don't even want to be configured; turn on the power and plug in until you run out of ports! None. Other than the cost for switches in general. Be cautious, these items can get addicting :)

Smaller and compact. basic design. Cost. Shipping. I share my net with my neighbors and so i have a router that connects to their switch. This item is the switch that i purchased for them. This has no problems with this config. Some do but not this 1. This is not gigabit. But i knew that getting this so not actually a con. i have read about some other buyers here having concerns with the power connector. I have had no such problems. I'm not sure if they have fixed it considering that those evaluations but the power connector seemed to snap and hold nicely into the back of the switch creating for excellent get in touch with. maybe i just lucked out... dunno

good product, great cost, it's real plug 'n' play and forget about it. not free, not wireless :) I purchased this from an additional on-line vendor (as a filler to get no cost shipping) and it was about 6 bucks soon after บMIR. I also got the rebate in much less than two mo.Doing what it is supposed to do with no human intervention.

Really solid construction with LEDs on the front simple to prepared. The power connector is incredibly finicky. For this hob to work I had to tape the energy connector in and to one side. If this unit was additional high-priced I would have sent it back, but it's not worth the shipping charges to exchange it. My guidance get the Cisco modest organization switch.

It works and stays very cool. Feel no heat from it at all. Just plug a Ethernet Cord in from your router to the switch on any port and that is it. You got a switch. None. Wonderful switch and that is it. Does what it was meant to do.

It's a 10럼 ethernet switch. Supply a supply of electricity, plug in the ethernet cables, and away it goes. I bought it understanding it would "just function" and I was not disappointed. If you look at the picture, you can see there is a four-port module with a 5th port added to the side. I haven't torn it apart or loaded tested it, but -- if you want 5 ports and all of them demand maximum bandwidth and minimal latency? Nicely, this looks a lot like a 4 port switch a person bolted a 5th port onto. Kill-A-Watt says it draws 1.5 WattsǙ.5VA.I use this to give ports to a room as part of my home network. It does an excellent job at that, and the metal body means I don't have to worry about smashing or crushing it.

I've owned a quantity of these and they're all still in the field and working tough. Even though NetGear's LIFETIME warranty is fantastic, the bottom line is - you shouldn't have to use it. They're little, compact, solid, and look excellent... some thing about the blue color, the green LEDs, and the overall look of the switch. I like the fact that it looks just like they're skilled 24 and 48 port switches (same metallic built; exact same color; identical layout of ports and LEDs). None that I can feel of... perhaps a bigger rebate :o) Works good for the intended purposes... I guess this one will be discontinued in a year or two and taken over by the Gigabit version... GS105, I believe.
