Comment:
Definitely enjoy the situation. Lots of venting so you pc ought to keep very cool The top comes off simply to get at factors. Really heavy and solidly created A little challenging to plug in some of the cables as motherboard extends a bit below the drives but not a major problem

Comment:
Good looking. Low profile power buttons. Not adequate area to put necessary items in. I place an X.F.X. 7300 board in this case and i had to use two sets of duck billed pliers to position and seat the power connector, as it sat all the way up below the drive cage and was inaccessible by human fingers. Case headers had been the very same way. Lots of stuff that was unreachable after seating the board. Just poor style.

Comment:
Mostly open design leaves lots of space for all forms of hardware. Sturdy steel construction is ideal for rough service environments. Whole front plate is vented; my setup runs about five-7 degrees cooler in it. Rack ears can be removed for more typical application. Holds a LOT of tricky drives for RAID configurations. I had to disassemble the face and tricky drive rack to install the motherboard. It did not have mounting posts for just about every location on a micro atx motherboard. Does not have a location for bigger fans so it is a tiny loud. I would purchase one more if needed.

Comment:
Brief depth is fantastic for DJ circumstances. Provides sufficient space to maintain cables plugged in in the course of transport. Value point is also excellent. I love the fact that you genuinely need to screw on the best panel, the tabs give adequate security in the course of transport and ease of opening. Sure a lot of DJs use laptops now, but I still choose full computer systems, additional energy and storage. Snap in (one screw) HD rails are good! Plug in your SATA or IDE cables before you mount the motherboard. There is barely any area to get a hand in there, but you CAN do it if you have to (i did once so far). The whole bottom front of the case is a vent without having a filter. Only has 1 USB port on the front. Heavy for the size. wish it was 3u, but I'll still acquire a couple a lot more... wish they would have made the hard drive bay area removable.

NORCO RPC-430 Black 4U Rackmount Server Case
Cons:Finish was not the best. Repairs made around screw holes.

Pros:Good construction, cheap
Comment:
The construction is good and the finish is not the best. Did not receive the rails to for the drives. Contacted NCIX and they advised me to contact Norco directly to receive the rails instead of sending the case back. Took Norco 24 hours to contact me and send the rails by UPS. I intialy purchased the case as an open box but it was not available which delayed the shipment by a week but sent a new one for the open box price which was nice. I have to wait for the drive rails to get here to use the case. This is the first problem I had with NCIX concerning a purchase.

Comment:
As everybody else has currently stated, it is entirely put together with screws and is as a result simple to work with. I have disassembled it around 5 occasions currently (because of my personal troubles) and its wonderful how simple the screws make it. There is a lot of space for my ATX mobo (Tyan i7230W) and my RAID controller (LSI MegaRAID SATA 300-8x). And I adore how compact it is! I wish it had a lot more HDD bays, but what can you expect in a small case like this? I would surely use this case once more; for the price tag you can't beat it!

Comment:
Case looks nice, appears to be built fairly well (the front panel buttons see fairly high top quality for example). Easy to operate on. Had to eliminate the handles to mount this - there was just no way to bolt this to the rack with the handles on (probably much better if you use rails) simply because they got in the way of the mounting holes Too bad it doesn't hold additional three.5 drives. 4 is ok I guess.

Comment:
Straightforward, Minimalistic. ALL the edges are so sharp (I was being careful and cut myself 2x already, as soon as pretty deep!), no place to add a lot more cooling fans, short, Has 4x drive bays but if you have a typical sized GFX card and ATX board you won't be in a position to plug in twoǚ of the HDDs because they are packed too tightly subsequent to video card. I was very dissapointed with this case. I have a case similar to this I ordered for my operate for the same value. The edges are so flipping sharp on this case I'm afraid to go near it, and I'm a fairly fearless 20 year old. The case was not properly designed because you can't even fill all the difficult drive bays unless you have some odd extreme low profile video card. I wish I could return this case but along the way of hoping it would function following installing the mobo and every little thing I cut a little piece of the sheet metal away attempting to make space for anything. I would steer away from this case and go discover something an inch-or-two longer if you are installing an ATX board.

NORCO RPC-430 Black 4U Rackmount Server Case
Comment:
Solid case and good and easy. Straightforward tool-much less tough drive and CD install. Makes use of regular energy supply. It is also quite effortless to take away the best of the case for access as long as you just use the catches and don't replace the screws. MB is set nicely up above the base so you can route cables underneath. You have to eliminate at least 24 screws to get the hard drive assembly out - which is pretty a lot essential with even tiny MB's. Also screws are really soft so be cautious not to destroy the heads with your electric screwdriver! Power switch is silly modest. The stock 80mm fans are absolute junk and will seize solid in a couple of months. Replace them during the construct. No manual for beginners. If you don't mind the fiddling with the screws you can generate a really neat construct with this case. As soon as built it is effortless to maintain with straightforward HDD removal/replacement as long as you don't have to replace the MB. I have built servers with three of these cases more than 1 year.

--Case is fully put together with screws, so you can disassemble and it makes for an effortless time installing the MB and power supply.--Came well packaged, double boxed.--Looks nice, sturdy, and base of all, inexpensive The only knock I have against it is the handles on the rack ears made screwing the case to the rack tough. At lest with the screws I was using. If I had some with a smaller head, it wouldn't have been a challenge, but the ones I'm using are pretty regular. Great worth I believe and I wouldn't hesitate to get another one.

Necessary this for a HDD less install - the server is operating off USB key and works perfectly. Chasis fit all PCI cards required with a lot of room and airflow. Nothing

This is a properly built case, and really straightforward to function with. Some reviewers have pointed out that there is no owners manual. This is not a dilemma if you have the owners manual for your motherboard. This was only my second create and it was a piece of cake. The only con for me is noise. This is only since I am making use of the case for a DAW. I am replacing the stock fans with 2 ENERMAX UC-8EB 80mm Case Fans, which ought to make the computer incredibly quiet. This case would be fantastic for an HTPC as well (with quieter fans installed).

Cost, air flow, and is quite sturdy. A small cramped with 12x13 board. After reading a couple of critiques, I think I may save some trouble for residence builders.Un-screw the handles, front plate, and drive cage (simple). You may possibly now work like a gentleman.

Very good Rack CaseUtilizes Normal ATX Power SupplyEasy to assembleExcellent Venting about difficult drives Only one five.25 external bay so not for any hot swapping (new this going in and not an problem for my use)Not very deep, make certain your board will fit.Handles on the front are close to Rack mount holes producing it challenging to get regular rack screws in. This is a great case for a PC you want in an equipment rack. It has enough room to hold four tough drives and a ROM drive. Basic no hassle case

You aren't going to believe what I packed into this factor.1 core i7 920p6x58d 6gb vital mem1 3.5in WD 640 gig black drive2 re4 enterprise 2tb WD black raid drives1 essential c300 solid state drive1 msi radeon 5750 video card1 750 watt corsair psuAs other people have stated, Great price, Dis-assembly to get at installation in a tight space. Surprisingly very good airflow with only two 80mm fans mounted on the back. With lid on can stick an napkin on the front grille and it will stick there. All temps are low 30s C. Slide off lid is wonderful. Cable tidiness is also incredibly good as you can coil up psu cables underneath drive cage assembly. You get bottom of the barrel hardware so be careful when taking apart the case. Screws simply round out and one of the case threads stripped.Motherboard risers are longer than typical about 3ǚ of an inch long. This is since riser card slots and motherboard nic audio usb etc.. are set that a lot greater up from the bottom so you cant cheat with shorter risers to aid fit a core i7 cooler...I tried the cooler master one and it didnt fit so I went with the stock intel cooler but arctic silver five + stock cooler = 32C idle and high 40s under load. But I dont take an egg off for this stuff mainly because nobody but me would be stupid sufficient to fit this a lot hardware in such a modest case. But the customer needed a video streaming/editing/storage server that would fit into a 19U Netshelter AR100 with a Kramer switcher, zvbox mpeg2 encoder rf modulator blu ray, dvd vcr, and a bunch of other stuff. And this small case did it!!! 80mm fans are just molex so max speed no mobo controll = kinda loud The video card is completely the largest card you could stick in this case. I had to snake a six pin lead by means of the back of the middle drive cage and about the front of the drive cage divider (there is a little bit of space in between the tough drive cage divider and the front faceplate of the case to snake a cable about inbetween the 640 and c300 installed in the last drive cage so that the plug was not too angled when inserting it into the back of the video card. With the plug in, the back tip of the connector just barely lightly rubs against the the WD 640 gig drive rear.

Cons:the 4 screws needed to remove the top cover, the 700 screws to take out the hardrive bays also are a pain

Pros:All stell construction and not too heavy, fits full atx board in small form factor
Comment:
i bought 2 of these to house a vmware server and pf sense box i had built, installation was easier because i used matx boards. the standoffs are a pain to start in the holes, due to the very large threads used to tap them in. lots of room for cable managment suprisingly, but again you have to remove the hardrive bays to put in and screw down a full atx board. mounted these in a homemade server rack i made and they look great.
