SUPER FAST
Comment:
I bought this to replace a wireless g router that needed constant resetting to operate. With three wireless PCs and two iphones connecting off and on all day I needed something that would perform without the bi-weekly ritual of flipping the surge protectors off and on. I was concerned about a refurb, but after having purchased several refurb items from TG with zero issues I dove in at the great price. The only PITA was the brown box not including instructions of any sort other than a web address. Granted it's just a router, but, that would have sent instant panic through the veins of many novice users. With everything up and running and configured, I was amazed at the speed difference. Especially when multiple connections are active. I can't fairly say I know the range being it's winter, but the throughput is a major step up from g. Since two weeks before Christmas I have been happily ignoring this piece of hardware and enjoying super fast surfing.

No Setup Disk Included
Comment:
The recertified units do not come with a software setup disk. It's not terribly difficult to download the files from Netgear's website, but it's an unneccessary complication.

Good Deal
Comment:
Drawbacks: No installation CD and version number is a mystery when I went to NetGear site for software. Positives: Found installation CD at Netgear site for version 1. Set whole house up in less than 2 hrs (3 hard wire, 5 wireless laptop or devices). Noticable speed improvement over old router. Problem free for several weeks now.

Absolute JUNK
Comment:
I've had pretty good luck with refurb stuff. After all, the manufacturer doesn't want it returned yet again, so quality control should be at DEFCON 1 or 2 right? Anyway, this thing was hands down the worst PC device I've ever had the displeasure of working-fighting with, and I've been in computers for 13 plus yrs. Leave this one on the shelf.

The Manual is Right Here
Comment:
Haven't received my unit yet, but thought I should provide the comment that the entire 47 page manual can be downloaded here at Tiger, at the bottom of this page. I've saved a PDF of it in case I need it. Some buyers have commented that they have a hard time getting this information manual. It's pretty simple, actually.

No Documentation or install CD
Comment:
This was a refurb product. It ships with no instructions or installation CD. There is only a reference to the Netgear website and it was impossible to find this info there. They offer email only support for just 30 days. I ordered it in early December and did not get around to trying to install it until after the first of the year - so my free email support is running out. The response to my email inquiry was a very extensive email asking me about 50 questions about my home network (all of which an installation CD could find our easily). This may be a good product, but it is useless to me without an instruction manual and installation CD.

Good deal

If you are looking for a reliable router, this one works fine. Did not come with sofeware but fairly easy to set up from online site. I would have rather had the software disk. Unit works from all over the house. Not as fast as I'd like but works fine.

Great Deal except for Tec Support
Comment:
In the past when I purchased a refurbished product I received all the software and could rely on the tech support for the product to be there. That is not the case for this router. No software is contained in the package. When you call tech support they refer you to an internet site. In spite of the hassle, I still like the way it works. The signal is excellent. One more thing, the

QoS for Gaming
Comment:
It should be noted also this router supports QoS features. Both WMM along with application and game priorities. Many common games and apps are preselectable via a list. You can configure per TCP UDP ports of the app., per local IP of device, or per LAN port, or macaddress. Important info for the gamers out there. This will work out great for the ps3. Prioritize LAN port 1, plug the ps3 into it and devices in the rest of the house no longer bog down my gaming.

Good product
Comment:
A nice performing unit. Did not get to upgrade the software as I was unsure of which version to choose from. Sends at a minimum of 78Mpbs to a WN111 adapter and sometimes a bit faster.

Alright Router
Comment:
Normally I would say this router is a POS, but the latest firmware update seems to fix all the problems that were plaguing this device. It also added wireless repeater functionality! I suggest this router, though haven't tested the Wireless N with the latest firmware. Last I tried it, it wouldn't work with any other Wireless N products except other Netgear products.
