Good product and Deal
Comment:
I bought this router to replace my old one. It takes me 10 min to configure the netgear and since i don't have any issue. Work great. I recommend to upgrade the firmware before configure it. It work well for me.

But you better know what you are doing
Comment:
This was a refurb purchase. If you have any questions about the setup you can not call for support unless you are willing to shell out some big cash. FYI the installation CD does not come with your purchase and you cannot download it from thier website. Ok, if you know how to setup a network then this is a a good buy and works well after you find how to get to the routers internal web page.

EASY
Comment:
If it cuts out, upgrade the firmware. It's that simple. This is my second Netgear router and couldn't be happier with the performance. 802.11n technology is great and so is refurb price.

Kept disconnecting. Gave up on it.
Comment:
I've had many routers over the years but this is the first one that I had to give up on. It took me days to get the wireless to connect reliably and even then it would cut out fairly frequently. The wired router didn't work reliably either. By the time I'd tried all the options my 30 days were up and now I can't return it. NOT PLEASED!

Works fine for connectivity thru the house. Had to put my main computer back on wire to this router - wireless was just too slow for most internet purposes

Can't beat it for the price!
Comment:
I've compared prices on similar models, and there's none that come close to matching the value. I was having a lot of problems with my G-router, so decided to try this one. I've been using it for about a month now and have no complaints at all! Netbook, laptops and one desktop all hooked up to it (almost) with no issues. :)

Can't be Beat for the $$
Comment:
Super cheap and I was up in seconds. I bought this for a friends home network and it was easy to setup and works flawlessly. Looks really nice too. In several weeks of continual use, only needed to be rebooted once.

Do Not Buy
Comment:
I consider myself to be a pretty technical savvy individual. However, when I received my refurbished Netgear wireless router it contained no instructions or manual. The only information I was provided with was a website for product updates and downloads. Upon searching the website for my model number, I could not locate any set-up directions. I contacted Netgear customer service and they were unable to assist me because my model was refurbished. I was told my only options for assistance was via email or to pay $35 for a 30 minute call. Obviously, I was greatly displeased with the level of customer service and was unable to set it up. As a result, I am returning this item. I have since purchased a D-Link Wireless router that came with a set-up CD and the whole process took 20 minutes. As compared to the hours I spent on the phone with Netgear with no results.

Very good buy
Comment:
Well, I bought this router because my old one linksys was terrible. At first I was afraid because this is a refurbished but when I finish the installation is a great product. Talking about installation thats the down part, because it does not come with a CD so you have to install using the hard way, but the website have enough information.

Good value
Comment:
This was an excellent choice and value for a secure home wireless router. I bought this with a new laptop and it works great indoors and outdoors. Although, the driver did not come with it because it was a refurb., Netgear's website was very helpful in setting it up. Sells new at Walmart for around $70.00.

sent back
Comment:
I had to send mine(recertified) back (very recently) as somehow, the user id and password had been overwritten and even the 'factory setting reset' button wouldn't allow me to access it as a wireless router. Worked fine as a wired connect but that's no help to all of us. Waiting for a replacement (or refund).

Nice price
Comment:
This unit is the first time I bought a refurb that didnt work very well, it kept dropping out and I didnt see any appreciable performance gain on my laptop speed just the opposit. As I said this is a refurb, it might of been just the luck of the draw and I got a bad one. I was going to try again but thy didnt have any more.

Does what I needed
Comment:
This is my first wifi router, so it has been fun. Downloaded the manual and did the firmware update. Took me awhile to check out all the options, but my desktop and laptop were both accessing the net within a half hour. Went back later and setup the security - I live in the boonies so I was not so worried. Now that I understand more about these things, I wish I had gotten one that would have allowed my USB to be a NAS. All in all a great deal for me.

Good price but still has issues
Comment:
I got this at a great price. However, this unit still has issues. Periodically the wireless devices can no longer see each other or communicate. A reboot of the router clears this but still a hassle.
