Comment:
- battery life is 3 days (!!!) of typical company use- quite responsive, no "lag" typical of winmo phones- great voice good quality. This phone works properly as a phone, and a speakerphone.- Push e-mail with Microsoft Exchange operates like a charm. I get e-mail on the telephone practically a minute ahead of the Pc gets them. Calendar functions operate. Don't use contacts also substantially, can't comment on that.- i use "Seven" app for my Gmail accounts, operates fantastic.- it has a fantastic keyboard, not a touchscreen.- tons of other cool stuff, like GPS, Joiku to turn the phone into a wifi hotspot, Skype wifi calling, youtube streaming, and much more. none but... pretty modest studying curve on symbian OS.

Operates everywhere. Moutains or desserts of California.Cities like Calabasas or the "Grapevine". Functions in hotels, motels, cars, close to machinery etc. Easily recharges over night. Very smaller. Fits in front pant pocket but important board quickly accomidates texting. Texting with ATT was a starting issue but is incredibly low-cost at $ .20/text.This is truly a Wonderful CAMERA that tends to make business calls and allows me to keep in touch with my wife and children. I never new taking, storing, editing and sending media was so easy.Photos, calendar, to do , memos , lists, are a snap . Imagine when Microsoft adds E mails or Google actions in .You can take images of pets and individuals or yourself in the car and send it on line in seconds. It is an alarm clock which cuts down on packing a suitecase. I do not use GPS but if my vehicle GPS breaks I have a back up. On line google searching is really pricey. My no contract plan with ATT is a dollar a day used as a telephone. Good gift for youngsters with standard flip pones my ex wife pays for....

This telephone is simply amazing, I went from a standard telephone to this intelligent telephone and was ousted with all the great features it had to present. Also i really get a singal on my college campus and it's a good one particular, unlike my preceding telephone. The computer software that comes with the phone to manage the contacts is alittle lowgrade and the camera isn't specifically high high quality with it becoming a three.2MP but, anything else gets the job performed good

great phones with endless capabilities. ergonomic, pocketable, durable, excellent searching, gorgeous screen, wonderful speaker, comfortable and ergonomic keyboard, wonderful reception, quickly and capable OS..., stable wi-fi with wonderful reception, sip, gps, long battery life, great as music player, wonderful email functionality, tons and tons of software program offered and more. To be crucial, the camera is mostly fine but in low light noise level becomes unacceptable. Nonetheless, as you shrink the photographs eventually, the quantity of pixels makes up for limited dynamic range. I also imagine that if E71 carried a nicer camera the price tag would be greater. I am blown away by this telephone. I am a loyal Nokia user and coming from E61 territory. This telephone is way more strong, stylish and much better all about. And of course a single of the important qualities, It is incredibly cost-effective.

It essentially does (did) all the issues I want. Particularly, SIP, web browsing, and it has all the cell bands I need for travel/pay as you go in the states. Symbian is not seriously my cup of tea. Acquiring to more advanced settings/options is cumbersome. Customization could be much superior. Normally unfun to perform with (though it's greater than win mobile).Assisted GPS has never worked. The actual con although is that after about a month of operating smoothly this small bugger began going crazy. Random lockups when attempting to establish wifi connections have develop into intolerable. Factory reset has failed to resolve the concern. This point was excellent for the initial month. I've tried tough-resets several times to no avail. I only have 1, count it A single, app on my e71 and that's Truphone's client. There are specific wifi spots that confuse the phone to the point exactly where it becomes unusable for up to ten minutes (not even the SIM card can be employed to make calls). Removing the battery and beginning over doesn't enable. I loved it when I could move from wifi spot to spot with no performing anything and as long as I'd been there prior to, Truphone would automatically connect. Now I locate it increasingly hard to do something at all without having the phone freezing whilst it idiotically tells me that it's connected to a wifi network on the other side of town. I truly can't say why I'm experiencing so quite a few issues now, but combining these troubles with my common 'meh' feeling for Symbian implies that I wouldn't buy this telephone once again.

My Nokia E71 does anything I expected, but surprised me in one particular important respect. I pretty much did NOT get this telephone simply because of the negatives on firmware versions, and the supposed inability to update the firmware. My telephone came ƖǛ) with the next to most current firmware vers 鴈.21.118) and I've under no circumstances looked back. I appreciate the way it is completely customizable, and the plan $$ saved with an UNLOCKED phone. It does everything I expected & then some. I downloaded a number of apps & themes, and install was incredibly intuitive (it is like a WinMo device in that respect). could be As well smaller. Studying curve on Symbian, it took a fantastic week to figure it out (spoken with tongue planted firmly in cheek) appreciate the GPS, WiFi, the threaded messaging (YES, it has it by way of download or "search') and so on. No challenge on AT&T in the US. The cellphone portion is superb. Conversations are crystal clear. I haven't identified anything it can't do, but it is not a touch screen.

Fantastic build top quality. Very stable and rapid OS. Does almost everything I need to have and want. Really thin and sleek. Looks great. Keyboard has extremely very good tactile feedback. Reception and call quality is also excellent. This is a good telephone all about. Camera could be better. I put an 8GB micro-SD card in it and loaded it up with mp3s. The telephone natively supports podcasts and can download them directly and the Nokia sync computer software for Mac functions good. I have no need to have to carry around an iPod any longer. Also, Newegg had an amazing deal on the phone which I snatched up with no cost shipping. Received the item 2 days immediately after ordering it. Newegg is the greatest.

This is my first smartphone, upgraded from a RAZR. Enjoy the create quality and S60 OS. I've got big hands, but I had no difficulties with the keyboard. So quite a few choices to learn and the on the net community for support is good. Reception is great. Fingerprint magnet, but I knew that ahead of shopping for it. I am now a Nokia fan! Newegg rocks, as usually. I advocate this phone, even if you don't need a smartphone.

Excellent telephone. Its as open source as you can get in the cell telephone operating system market. Symbian has accomplished an superb job & there are plenty of applications that can be added to this telephone in addition to the ones currently pre-loaded on the telephone. Setting up email is a breeze & wi-fi works on exceptional speeds. Keyboard is a lot smaller than the E61 but not difficult to get used to. Came w/o a micro sd card which adds additional expense.Fingerprints get all over the back cover. Camera is not as excellent as I-phone's camera quality. Flash could have been more powerful. 3G need to have been produced compatible to be applied worldwide. There are two versions of this telephone. US 3G version & Worldwide 3G version. Bought this on Dell's web page when it was on sale & paid about 275 with cost-free 2 day shipping & discounts.

Getting employed a WinMo (HTC s730) for a year, I need to say this phone/platform is leaps & bounds ahead in no uncertain terms!I need to note that the very initial thing I did after receiving the phone was to upgrade the Nokia Pc Suite (software for Pc), and upgrade the firmware of the telephone. To begin with the phone is considerably more stable (I had to restart my old s730 virtually every day) and certainly handles memory far better. It's also awesome the a lot of apps and capabilities that come with the phone correct out of the box. At 1st I was disappointed in the lack of BB support, but the Nokia replacement does push email excellently! (No hotmail support nevertheless). The OS is quick, and I've been able to run several apps simultaneously with no concerns whatsoever. It has crashed about 4 occasions, but every time I was trying out software I had d'loaded.Of course it has to be mentioned that the device is also definitely lovely! So u get the power of a fantastic smartphone in a sleek, envy-inducing package :} Ok, so with that assessment title, as nicely as the Pros above, you're most likely questioning why I only gave it four stars. The moment I purchased my s730 final year I was disappointed - tried to adore it, but the chemistry was In no way there. There are some items, nevertheless, that WinMo does well and (surprisingly) Nokia could learn a couple of points from them. I had decided on the E71 as early as July, with a view that in addition to becoming a strong device, Nokia is also the ideal at telephone characteristics (having utilised 3 old Nokia feature phones in the past). Sadly Nokia seems to have regressed in this area, as WinMo outshines it specially in handling get in touch with information in call logs. When I commence typing on a WinMo phone, it automatically starts looking contacts based on letter AND quantity combinations. The E71 only searches according to letters/words. Also, when you bring up a make contact with in WinMo, you can use the appropriate/left scroll keys on the D-Pad to cycle thru household/mobile/email/send txt etc, NOT SO with ye beautiful E71 (cont'd) Furthermore, if u bring up your call logs, you can't choose an alternative # for the get in touch with. I come across this especially annoying when I call somebody's cell, and not acquiring by way of, I have to search for the speak to Once more to dial an option #. In WinMo, u bring up the final contact dialled and just scroll left/right to dial a different # for that make contact with (or use an alternative means of comm. e.g. txt or e mail). All that, on the other hand, was NOT adequate to make me enjoy WinMo, or prefer it over the E71 for that matter.Other gripes: My old Nokia phones had been cheap however full of excellent calendar attributes that produced me hold on to them for considerably longer than I really should have. One essential function was the automatic entry of a speak to's b'day into the calendar WITH a reminder! This saved me many embarrassments when it came to remembering b'days. Now, you're on your personal unless you purchase a calendar app for S60, as birthdays are no longer inserted. The calendar app is also a bit of a disappointment.

I have been making use of Nokia products from the very begining. Moved to E71 from E61. The exchange e mail, exchange synced calendar, contacts, SportsTracker make this an unseparable device. Keyboard is comfortable and I can kind genuinely rapid. My buddies don't even know I am utilizing mobile device when I chat in MSN or Yahoo. A have to have if messaging is your very first criteria. Synching with exchange server have few issues. I don't use its camera for taking scenary images. I use this as a portable document scanner. When I quickly need to have to copy document pages, or written notes, I use camera in macro mode. I have tried to go to WinMo various times but have not come across any which are at least half decent in speed as E71.

It does what I want it to most of the time. That is to say it handles my VOIP service adequately, the ergonomics are superior, it never comes unlocked accidentally, and the battery life is excellent. Weird, unexplained freakouts are no longer (it's been slightly much less than a year) rare irritations. The phone, in particular even though trying to negotiate wireless access points, is a lot more frequently locking up or exhibiting odd behavior. I've had to do a factory reset four occasions now and lost my contacts two of those instances since the bundled backup software package is atrocious. I'm keeping this telephone since I'm too poor to get something superior. If I could offer any suggestions to Nokia, it would be this: when you have two databases that a user wants to 'synch' for whatever reason, it behooves you to ask if they genuinely want to do that in particular when one particular database is EMPTY and the other is a list of telephone contacts. Why on earth would I want to copy an empty list over a complete one particular? It's a mistake on my element confident, but that mistake was way too straightforward to make. Also, give me a cancel selection if your wireless shenanigans are going to choke. Don't make my telephone inoperable because the wireless can't figure its enterprise out.

Excellent form element, tons of capabilities. Keyboard is straightforward to use even with fat fingers. Rapid processor. Finish gets smudgy incredibly quickly. But that's to be expected, and my greasy skin doesn't assist. Has complications connecting to the AT&T World wide web when the signal is less than full on three.5G and 3G. Camera photos are washed out in red from time to time. Just a wonderful phone if you don't feel the need for a touchscreen.

Extremely solid phone, seems to grab and hold a cell tower well, even if the signal is weak (better than other phones I've utilised).
