Cons:the 5v rail is lower then my old Power 400wthe 12v rail high 12.22 still in spec thoughripple under high loads

my systembiostar tf7050 mobo 4gb ram antlon X2 black 5000+ at 3.2ghz 2 hds 2 dvd burners Galaxy GeForce 8800GT 512MB no over clock on gfx card I was running a Sparkle 400watt power supplyand every thing was running fine but figured I better play it safe get better power supplythe ocz 5v is 4.81v same under load lower then the old 400w power supply 4.92the 12v is higher at 12.22v -12.16 load old 400w power supply was 11.97v but would drop under load to 11.82vthe 3.3v is perfect always at 3.33vso far a grate power supply vary little heat comes out of itglad they fixed the power supply fan they use to have bad fan controller that ran at full speed it is now fixed mine is super quiet This review was modfied by poster @ 02-20-08 05:23 PM |

Cons:Sata power cable could be longer, I have a mid tower case and it just barely reaches the bottom of the case to power my HDD.
Pros:Lots of power for my needs.Looks fine, I've seen worse. Comment:
I have not had a problem with the fan like others have had, it works great, with clean consistent power. Also has cable sheathing for looks. Other than that, it does what a PSU should, not much else to say. |
its not the high end psu or modular like seasonic or enermax, but.. its excellent for its price range. the fully sleeved cables are nice, and active pfc 600 watt for 70 65 bucks is an awesome deal. would def use again for more budget minded builds
