-separate programs for every single battery.-break-in program for battery forming-flexible programming modes -vivid LCD doesn't go off (it would be good to turn off back light after some time of inactivity from user) It would be nice to have Discharge & Charge plan which discharge partially discharged cell and then proceeds to charging automatically devoid of require to adjust plan manually.I like this charger. It provides a lot of details about battery.

The advertised features. The four AAs that came with it charged fine. Then I took ten AAAs, two each and every of four brands. A single brand was fine. An additional stopped with HIGH. The remaining 2 brands started to charge then it either went dark and stopped, or just kept asking you to enter the mode/current, repeatedly. All these had been charging fine in a Lacrosse BC-900 and none had been that old. Only 1 other individual reported equivalent difficulties right here, so I guess this one will be heading back soon.

Don't require to go more than all the pro's, they have been stated over and more than.At work we have a recycling program for tiny batteries. Pulled a ton of recharagables that individuals place in the recycle containers due to the fact they had been no holding a charging. Ran them through the reconditioning plan and have reclaimed practically all the cells, quite couple of had been actually poor, just want reconditioning.... Tons of free of charge recycled batteries, thanks to this charger... None

Excellent charger. The Powerex batteries that come with it final 4 times longer than my other batteries. My Garmin 76CS GPS so far has lasted 24 hours with half the battery life left. I was lucky to get 15hrs with other batts. This charger showed my other batts at .five-.7 of the advertised capacity. The powerex are .98. Each and every slot is independant so you can charge 4 diverse cap batts at once. No other charger compares to this 1 and I have rather a couple of collecting dust now. High pitched wine so put this charger in an unoccupied space. Duralast(sold at _Frys_) are junk. Claim 2.6k. Only have 1.6k. Nexcell two.3k have 1.5-1.7k. Lenmar which I purchased just prior to finding this charger are rated 2.7k but charge to 2.-2.5k. The Powerex charged with the break in cycle at two.65-two.68k and final at least twice as lengthy in my digital camera as the other batts with the exception of the Lenmars.

High top quality battery charger/analyzer. Numerous functions, very easily customizable by the user. You can genuinely know the capacity of each battery, it is indicated at the end of each cycle. Old batteries can be refreshed and returned to their initial power rating. Lots of helpful information displayed on the LCD screen (voltage, mah, elapsed time, etc). Included batteries 񢔌 mah produced in japan) are incredible!! Not genuinely portable (about the size of an old beta video cassette). The front LCD facts screen is very bright and can not be turned off, so it could not be the ideal item to put in a bedroom!! No On/Off switch, need to be unplugged each time you use it. I'm an avid photographer and I use lots of AA batteries. New Nimh cells are cranking out far more power every year, but after about three years and several cycles, my old batteries are finding weaker and did not seem to hold a charge for really long. I have about three-4 generic chargers laying around, often bundled with numerous batteries (think energizer, duracell and even no-name chinese imports). These chargers are really poor for your batteries. I also finish up buying way more Nimh batteries than supposed (they are listed at 500 cycles...). Upon reception of my Powerex charger, I tested it with a 2 year old set of AA batteries, generic brand (they had been two for 4$) and listed at 2200 mah. I ran a Refresh/Analyze cycle to find that they are only holding about 1100 to 1200 mah when they are "fully" charged! Then I utilized Break-In cycle, as it is supposed to recondition underperforming cells. After 36 hours, my old batteries are back at 2200-2300 mah!! This charger will pay itself truly quickly.

uncomplicated to usequiethelps you see how much juice your batteries are holdinghelps you revive old batteriesfast or slow charge--it's up to you unless you choose your mode soon following it's plugged in, it will start charging at 1000 right away. if that takes place, just unplug it, plug it back in, and commence more than. I did a bit of investigation before I invested in this charger. So far it appears to do an outstanding job. It is very easy to use. I avoided the lacrosse charger because quite a few of the reviews referred to meltdown difficulties and fire hazard difficulties. This charger is fantastic. You will get what you pay for. I am not noticing any noise. I truly don't fully grasp how individuals can complain about this charger--in particular, that it is complicated to use. I find employing this charger less difficult than sending a text message on a cell phone. I will be using this mostly for camera and flash AA batteries. I have a feeling that I will by no means buy a different charger, and that I will never get a disposable battery again.

Excellent charger. The programming possibilities are quite varied and it generally walks you by way of setting up each cell for charging. You can set up each and every individual slot/cell with a unique plan. Wide cell/slot spacing indicates cooler charging. Came with 4 2700 mah aa batteries for a good price tag! You have to set up each and every individual cell/slot separately, even if you want the same plan in each. The backlight on the display is truly vibrant. The display is tricky to read unless you are seeking squarely at the face - even a slight angle makes it tough to read. The display cycles via each slot and every single status. Seems like with such a large display it would be doable to display everything at as soon as. Two of the small rubber feet on the bottom of the unit were loose in the package. I just stuck them back on, no difficulty, but it would have been truly straightforward to shed them. 1 of the 2700 mah batteries included in the pack refuses to take a charge anywhere close to the capacity of the other three 鿄mah on initial break in vs 2500+ for the other three). Looks like a poor cell, as soon after I ran it via the analysis/charge plan it still would only take 1900 mah. All-in-all, this looks like an excellent charger that will offer years of service. I have had actually very good luck in the past with Maha/Powerex batteries and chargers. I would nonetheless be employing my older Maha charger, but I somehow lost it in the course of a move.

This is a geek's dream come true. It's also a perfect present for that challenging-to-acquire-for gearhead who's never satisfied with the other stuff you've selected in the past. The far more prosaic Pros would incorporate the capability to understand more than you ever dreamed doable about that drawer full of NiMH batteries you have in the kitchen. It permits you to recondition old ones and get the ideal capacity out of new ones. It helps you (with a little bookkeeping) make up closely-matched sets out of otherwise indistinguishable cells, which is a great factor any time you use two or additional in series. Etc. Etc. Another plus is a pretty informative and straightforward to recognize instruction sheet, which you genuinely ought to read so you can get the most out of this amazing device.Oh yeah, it comes with four high-capacity AAs, if all this isn't already great enough. None that I know of so far. My only minor complaint is the limited viewing angle of the LCD -- you can't read it too properly if you're, say, sitting at a desk with the device on it. Even though I can't really say that it's a "con", all this information gathering, exercising, and reconditioning takes some time. There's truly no way around it, so it's hardly the fault of the device itself. Even so, be prepared to invest some time reconditioning and characterizing your battery inventory. The 1 factor that this doesn't do, that would have been quite helpful, is characterize the cell's internal resistance. You can in all probability assume that any cell that completes the conditioning process has an acceptably low ESR, but if you're concerned about creating up really closely-matched sets of cells, understanding of the internal resistance would be great to know.Overall, I have to count this as 1 of the most beneficial technologies goods I've ever bought. It has already brought back to life a couple of cells I'd believed had been shot, and I'm only about 20% the way by means of my box of batteries.

Bought this on Newegg for แ.99 with free shipping and two no cost gifts. Give the charger a run on 4 AA and two AAA batteries. These batteries are at least 6 years old and they're just revived from the dead. Of course, the batteries held less then the maximum capacity, but I still use them. 1 AAA turns out to be poor and had to be disposed of appropriately. This charger is great and really smart. Batteries a although to charge at low settings, but prolongs battery lifespan instead of shortening them. Great charger for the price. Was looking at other smart chargers from Ansmann and Lacrosse. Glad I went with Powerex.

Charges batteries individually. Does appear to completely charge any battery that I have, new or old. The idea is good but the execution is lacking. I have sent a message to the firm and am waiting to here back. Perhaps I have defective device Im not confident. when i got the charger the initially thing i did was commence making use of the breakin setting on all my old batteries all are rated 2000 to 2500 mah . nearly all of them came back at a capacity of about 200 to 300 mah. I figured they where just old so I purchased the new enloop bateries. I put them in and used the breakin four of the batteries came back at about 1700 mah, but the other 8 came back again with the 200 to 300 mah. when i applied the 1700 mah enloop batteries more than the next couple days in a wii control, i went to put them on just to charge and now they come back at 200 to 300 mah so i did a refresh and analyze came back at 200 to 300 once more so I did an additional round of the break in and no luck 200 to 300......What am I doing wrong? Seems no matter what battery I put in this charger I virtually never ever get anything close to a full charge. All the evaluations say that this charger was supposed to be the boom but it is just becoming a dud for me. Please support me figure out how to make the charger function?

Lots of helpful feedback. Tons of configuration choices. Enables you to charge quicker with much less-than-optimum outcomes if you're in a hurry or charge slowly and absolutely if you have the time. Helps match pairs for use in conjunction. Settings are individual to battery/slot -- You can have four unique programs running. Can't interrupt program without having removing battery and pooping it back in. Vastly superior to any charger you can get at Target or Wal-Mart.

Excellent charger! Performs as expected. Excellent Customer Service from Maha. Charger quit working after 3 days.Takes longer than I'd prefer to refresh/analyze.Backlight is usually on. My Duracell charger quit working. It was continuously indicating my rechargeables where no longer any excellent. I knew this wasn't the case so I purchased the C9000. Being in the Radio Controlled hobby for several years I'm aware of battery cycling and charging so I decided to apply the exact same battery maintenance strategies to my household batteries. At initially the charger was excellent. The refresh/analyze was able to charge all my rechargeable AA's to nearly full capacity. It's a small more time consuming than I'd prefer but worth the wait to see the capacity of every cell. On the fourth day of utilizing the charger during a battery cycle the backlight went out indicating power loss. Nope, plug strip was fine, unplugged the unit and plugged it back in, now the C9000's backlight just flashes on and off. I contacted Maha directly and couldn't ask for greater customer service. They are shipping out a new 1 right away.

Terrific feature set. Loads of options and does a fantastic job of charging/conditioning Display is obtrusively bright. You need to keep it in an unused room at night. Now soon after 6 months of use the LCD has began to fail and is illegible. Hopefully I can get an exchage from either Maha or Newegg.

I’ll admit I’m a bit of a pack rat and tree hugger. I’ve accumulated a number of rechargeable batteries over time mainly because I didn’t want to toss them prematurely, but didn’t have a way to test them. I have a few chargers but the charge "blindly". I test devices at work which use AA Ni-MH batteries and some fraction of the cells appear to give us trouble. There has been some discussion of battery forming and passivation, items I hadn’t heard of but was curious about. This Charger-Analyzer has been excellent for weeding by means of my stockpile. A couple batteries failed the impedance test suitable off and a few had such a low measured capacity that it was clear they had been shot. A few appear to have "come back" following running the Break-In mode. The instruction sheet which comes with the unit is good- in truth I shared it about at function. With a little practice I feel I'll be finding the greatest life I can out of my batteries, and I'll know when their valuable life is over. I agree with the reviewers who suggested it would be good if the default charge rate was configurable. With the instruction sheet in hand the unit goes into the default mode just a little quicker than I would like (as a new user) and it's not uncommon for me to pop a battery back out and in once more to get the charger set the way I intended. Following running a dozen or so cells by means of different modes I recognize that I am getting quicker at setting it up.Also the unit is larger than my other chargers- about 6.five" along the longest side. I possibly wouldn't travel with it (unless I wanted to show it to a colleague). I had to gently bend the AAA contacts up a wee bit to get a superior solid contact. As received, they had been barely catching on the edge of the negative end and would pop out half the time.None of this is terribly negative for my purposes. I'm reasonably technical, but as I mentioned above, the instruction sheet is superior. It doesn't assume much information about batteries and starts with a little primer. A small understanding of simple electrical terms may possibly help the interested reader; like mA (milliampere). A couple batteries I had on hand did not have the capacity marked on them – AAA cells. I guessed 800 mAH which looks to have been in the ballpark. In some modes you need to know this.I anticipate technical folks would genuinely appreciate this unit simply because it tells you a lot about what it's performing as it goes by way of different stages depending on the mode chosen. If you don't care, you can ignore that side of it if you want, but it has some one of a kind characteristics you can tap when needed. It includes a standard capacity assessment and the instruction states it "requires 39 to 45 hours". I won't use that typically, but when needed, it's a fantastic tool for matching batteries and understanding when a cell actually is shot.

-It's a lot more than just a battery charger, as it reconditions and analyzes as well.-Handles both AA and AAA batteries. -Complex to use, and some of the settings are not that clear until you go onto Powerex's web page.-Bright light - may possibly not want to use it in the bedroom. This charger confirmed what I expected about some of my older batteries - they suck and must be thrown out. Reconditioning function is a good feature that should extend the life of existing batteries.

1. Was able to charge batteries that other chargers refused to charge.two. Extremely informative LCD.three. Utilised for an whole week non-quit to break-in old batteries, both the batteries and AC wall wart remained cool to the touch. Not definitely cons , but recognizeɅ. The unit is quite large and bulky, this is additional of a house unit and not a travel unit.2. Correctly recharging batteries takes time - this is not a "quick charger". If that's crucial to you you could want to buy a fast charger and also this unit to recondition your batteries when the fast charger harms them.three. Mainly because the unit does so numerous points and gives you so several choices it does take some time to discover how to use it, in contrast to most normal chargers where all you do is stick the batteries in. High priced, but seems to do a lot and do it well. Contemplating all the inexpensive chargers I've purchased that ended up killing batteries I think this will be a lot cheaper in the lengthy run.
