Patriot Extreme Performance 4GB 2X2GB PC2-6400 DDR2-800 CL4-4-4-12 EPP Dual Channel Memory Kit
Cons:4-4-4-12z800Mhz did'nt work

Pros:5-5-5-12z1066Mhz workedFree Shipping
Comment:
For some reason I couldn't get my pair to run at 4-4-4-12 at 800mhz, it would run ok at 5-5-5-12 at 1066Mhz though. I got free ground shipping for entire order buying this so I guess I'm still happy getting 4gb instead of 2gb and having to pay my Nine Hundred case's shipping :P

Patriot Extreme Performance 4GB 2X2GB PC2-6400 DDR2-800 CL4-4-4-12 EPP Dual Channel Memory Kit
Cons:Would not be able to go in SLI-Mode on my motherboard. Also the ram is not the best for overclocking.

Pros:Cheap and efficient
Comment:
I grabbed this ram to build a cheap dual core bundle and so far it is serving me well, beside the fact that it cannot go in sli-mode in the BIOS, it works wonders, had no problem overclocking it stable to 1066mhz like stated.

Patriot Extreme Performance 4GB 2X2GB PC2-6400 DDR2-800 CL4-4-4-12 EPP Dual Channel Memory Kit
Cons:None

Pros:Fantastic low latency, even when running all slots full.

I bought this to upgrade my system from 2GB up to 6GB. My existing memory is 2x1GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer (4-4-4-12). Mobo is a XFX 680i SLI. I am running Vista64. I was concerned (like most may be) about what kind of timings I could get from all the memory once I filled all four slots, not to mention mixing brands and sizes. I was hoping to get the 4-4-4-12 timings considering all modules easily hit the timings but you never know with all four slots filled. I gave it 40% chance (always the skeptic) that I could hit those timings with 6GB. The time of reckoning approached. I installed the 2GB sticks in slots 1&3 and moved the 1GB sticks to slots 2&4. Turned sys on and all 6 gigs addressed fine but the timings defaulted to 5-5-5-15. I entered BIOS and noticed (by no surprise) that the mobo did not recognize the memory as SLI ready, which was fine and kind of a relief meaning that I had a good chance still with manual timings. The Tracers were recognized as SLI-ready before so I guess the Patriots are not or maybe the SLI-ready thing doesn't kick in when all four slots are used. Doesn't really matter to me either way since it is easy enough to manually set the timings. I decided to go for the 4-4-4-12 timings right out of that gate and set it as so. Restart and voila! All four modules running at 4-4-4-12 (2T). Booted and Vista picked up on all 6 gigs without issue. I ran a iterations of Memtest v2.0 and all tests passed. The 6 gigs combined with turning off the search indexer in Vista (I know where my files are, thank you) means that the HDD's rarely need to spin up at all. I got almost everything running in memory now and the speed is sick! I am keeping the memory at 800Mhz since I can't keep the timings if I clock the speed any higher and I doubt that I can hit that high of speeds with 4 modules installed anyhow, even I reduce the timings down to 5-5-5-15. Maybe I try it later on....

Patriot Extreme Performance 4GB 2X2GB PC2-6400 DDR2-800 CL4-4-4-12 EPP Dual Channel Memory Kit
Cons:None

Pros:Overclocks very well. Atleast to 1066MHz 5-5-5-12 2.2V
Comment:
Bought it to replace an aging 2GB OCZ kit that didn't overclock well. Overclocked the Patriot ram to 1066MHz at 5-5-5-12 2.2V and the system booted but found that the ASUS P5W DH was holding it back. Apparently the 975x chipset doesn't like being overclocked very far over 800-900MHz DDR2. Vista loads faster and Crysis doesn't stutter much anymore. Easily worth the 134.95 it was on sale for.
