Memory worked good as soon as I installed it in my motherboard...didn't have to alter something in the BIOS. This memory has a excellent core speed and was pretty cheap when I bought it. No Complications =) Memory is finding high-priced...when I purchased this kit around Thanksgiving it was about hopefully it will be back down once again when 4GB isn't sufficient for me, which will possibly be sooner than than I assume the way computer system technologies advances. Either way I would certainly select Patriot and Newegg once more. |

ƒnd critique) Took a whilst to get it to recommended settings because A770DE motherboard does not automatically recognize and run at stock rated settings, for anything. I moved the two sticks more than to the far appropriate slots away from the CPU and now for some purpose can run 800MHz @ 1.65v with 7-7-7-21 timings. Been a couple weeks of gaming+ and haven't had a blue screen or had to difficult restart however. Can not get it to run more than 800MHz no matter what timings or voltage I attempted, may well be the motherboard and not the memory though. Cannot locate any BEMP files for this memory. Would like to attempt AMD OverDrive's Black Edition Memory Profiles but don't consider my motherboard supports it and don't assume AMD supports this memory either. From the commence even running @ 533MHz I saw massive efficiency obtain more than my old DDR2. Anyone still utilizing them: time to update! |

This RAM is inexpensive and it works. Superior overall performance than my Vital Ballistix DDR2 RAM. Lowered timings to 6-7-7-18. Does not overclock nicely on my mobo, ASUS P5E3 Pro. Extremely unstable at 1600mhz, but is most likely because CPU (Q6600) rated for FSB of 1333mhz. Oddly adequate, the memory can not even run at that speed, even more than-volted. At present running mine at 1213mhz at above-talked about timings. I've been happy with this RAM overall. Not very what I had hoped for, but other individuals appear to have had greater luck with this memory than me. |

Operates as advertised. Had difficulty pushing the ram to the slots with no pushing on the heatsink, I had a modest injury on my thumb. But the motherboard was new so, it can\'t be helped. I'm not an specialist in memory performance, I suspected it would not transform a lot if I run the RAM at 1066 or 1300+ MHz and it didn't adjust, at least in SuperPI. SSD is the way to go to enhance performance.My motherboard wasn't in a position to automatically adjust timings though OCying. I utilised Aida64 and it gave me every information I necessary. |

More affordable than most running at these speeds. Looks good with heat shields. Timings running @ eight-eight-8-22. 7.6 in Win7 Exp Index. Can\'t overclock speed at all past 800MHz. Says it runs at 1.65v but @ suggested stock settings the lowest I can hold it is 1.83v. With my motherboard I had to manually set BIOS memory settings up to DDR3 1600 9-9-9-24. Boots up initiially @ some thing like DDR3 533 6-7-6-21. |

Ram operates at frequencies higher than 1600. Just give it some more voltage and like a charm, it's quicker. The clock speeds can operate at 77721 my mobo has it at default for some cause. Till i figured the clocks where set to that i was able to my ram to work like a charm. Atm I 2 sets of these, and they function nicely together. I suggest this memory. I'm changing my buddy's create on the memory to this. Plus the memory is inexpensive for the speed. Large plus. For all of you AMD guys out there, I'm on AMD Phenom II x4. Functions with amd just fine. If i waited a week longer, I could have gotten a dollar off the sale price i paid for and a mail in rebate. Owell. Quickly and stable ram. Its also negative I'm at a bottleneck as I'm operating numerous applications at once and 4GB is barely enough for me. The Ram is enveloped by some exciting heat spreader but the height may be an issue with those operating more than sized cpu coolers like mine. Heat spreaders are also tall and I was unable to fit ram underneath the two closest adjacent DIMM slots. It wasn't happening until lately but lately I've been receiving Bsod (Blue Screen of Death) when under load at random times commonly in the course of gaming. I think its brought on by error in memory loops even though I was running at stock timings and voltage. I recognize the error code as 50 and that traces it back to my memory. Wonderful ram but a bit additional pricey. Fast ram and possible and advocate altering timings and speed in the Bios manually. I genuinely wanted to think in the product but lately with so quite a few Bsod crashes and memory loops I can't rely on this ram any longer. I'm currently opting to pick one more brand like G.Ability or Corsair for my ram. |

CAS 8 would either fail to POST or fail to boot into Windows above 1600MHz. Working with CAS ten I could almost certainly get to 2000MHz no dilemma, but I can barely tolerate CAS 9, so yeah... It's an alternative for some individuals, but not me.Nonetheless, for the cost, these are extremely great modules. |

I wrote an earlier reveiw giving the ram four eggs, but following running vigorous memory tests, the 8gb of this RAM I have runs fine at 1333. That's good, but I want this RAM to run at 1600...and it won't. Now see cons. Various memory difficulties running RAM at 1600. Utilized memtest as well as Windows Diagnostic Memory tester, and when set to 1600, it detects problems. I have employed manual settings, XMP, and DOHC. Set the multiplier on my i5-750 to x17 ~ x18. Will crash everytime. My only selection is to deal with the company directly. It sucks mainly because I could have just gotten 1333 ram if I knew it would not perform at 1600. By testing at two distinct speeds, the answer is clear, some of the RAM sent out is problematic. My processor is an i5-750. When I replaced the cooler with a ZEROthrem, my tempa barely reached 60c when running an OC of three.six complete load...so it's not the processor.I'm just stumped becasue the RAM was a great deal when I got the first 4GB, and more affordable when I bought the second set of 4gb. I used just about every approach in the book, and I was tired of BSOD when setting the RAM passed 1333. It even BSOD at 1540, 1470, and even at 1430.
