Rapid memory (for it's generation), and cool memory (with the heatspreaders). Looks excellent, not that I appear into my server instances too typically. General, it operates fantastic! It's nevertheless ㅖ$ a pop for such old RAM.

The ram functions as soon as it was installed with no troubles This is a lot more so on NewEgg than an situation with Patriot. Item was shipped in a normal 8x11 paper envelop. I would have liked it shipped in a box or one thing a bit more secure understanding that ram is fairly delicate but in the end it appears like they weren't damaged. I have ordered ram from newegg just before and this was the 1st time it was shipped in an envelop vers a smaller box. This was bought to update an old Dell Dimension 2400 that I had sitting around. Its now a network storage unit.

like I mentioned, it's a RAM upgrade. it does what it does...and awaaay we go! a lot quicker now. It was about Ű less costly then a single I purchased from Important.com, and it's got a heatsink. Yay!And it came with 2X the packaging for protection then the Crucial card, the box was like an 8" x 6" x ten" with foamies and bubblewrap. i don't see how the other critiques I saw on other factors said it came in an envelope only or some thing similiar. and the shipping was speedy as well, I reside in Italy and the Military mail doesn't always move the fastest It is made to fit in the slot too fantastic and had a challenge receiving it in (behind the wires and out of view) the back slot. I had to pull my other card out of the foward-most slot and put it in the back, then fit the Patriot in. It took me a minute to fit in there, need to go in PERFECTLY STRAIGHT and down or you can't clip it in.

Purchased 2 of these. popped it in, booted up stable on first bootup. No difficulties so far anything is operating smooth. Wonderful upgrade for my old p4. None so far The two.99 shipping was kinda slow, but that was DHL's fault not newegg. Bought an additional item from newegg but it was shipped via ups. That arrived 1 day earlier and it was ordered 2 days after i ordered this.

Memory operates fine. Got it to upgrade an older MSI AMD machine for my wife. Newegg delivered the order promptly. None on the memory. Recommended. Been buying gear from NEWEGG due to the fact April 2002. Never ever had to return something. Got a Sapphire Radeon 9600PRO with this memory. It did not function. Did the RMA replacement. That did not function either. NEWEGG's return policy only offers you 30 days for a refund. By the time the second video card was tested and failed, it was too late for a refund. I Suggest THAT YOU Usually RETURN HARDWARE FOR A REFUND IF IT DOES NOT Function WHEN YOU GET IT. YOU CAN Constantly ORDER IT Once more. Superior TO BE OUT THE RESTOCKING FEE THAN Spend $$$ RETURNING Negative HARDWARE IN THE HOPES OF Obtaining 1 THAT Performs. STUCK WITH Negative VIDEO CARD.

Quick, reliable, and nicely priced for older RAM. It has a produced a massive difference in the overall performance of my older system, most notably, when operating a couple of different programs at the very same time or loading a number of tabs in the net browser. A handful of games run better and appear to have a lot more decent frames rates. None as of now. The blue heat spreader is rather pretty.

I have two of these and a Samsung 512mb stick ƒ.5 GB total) on an ECS L7S7A2 mobo w/ an Athlon XP 2500+. Lots of RAM for an older method, but I use virtual machines semi regularly on Linux and this helps immensely. Games on windows XP don't even know what to do with all of this RAM so I set my AGP aperature to the full 256mb in BIOS and even when playing Quake 4 I nevertheless have about 1.5 GB cost-free... perhaps I ought to get a second monitor so I can use Google Earth at the very same time (haha). Only an extra dollar for the heat spreader version and they run cool, specifically since my 512mb stick has a Thermaltake HS w/ a fan on it. These run fine on a CAS latency of two at stock speeds as nicely (haven't truly attempted OCing... possibly wouldn't want to with my mobo). What to do with all of this RAM when not running a Vista VM inside Linux?... Very good value, solid operating. Those socket A and Pentium four systems aren't dead however!!

The ram is truly quickly and productive. Well, for an older machine.Fantastic ram. It's way also pricey for it to be so old. You can buy 4 gigs of DD2 pc6400 for ุ and thats nearly how a lot this costs with shipping. It looks really great. And I would seriously hate to see how significantly woli-globe would try to sell this for.

Applied two sticks to replace a pair of 256mb modules. Suddenly I could play through the Vorganout scene in Half-Life 2 Episode two devoid of crashing. None that I can tell. My motherboard is not sophisticated enough to over-clock something, so I don't know how they would handle tweaking.

I put this in an currently aging system more than a year ago, I keep in mind it was good quick efficiency and I was pleased with the upgrade. I am tempted to purchase another for the other slot, I know this is a hallow try to maintain the personal computer I enjoy so a lot from Networking duty. I require to upgrade personal computer but acquiring this is just delaying the inevitable. I am gona be creating a new technique later, I wonder if Patriot makes additional contemporary RAM?

Installed in 15 seconds, booted, recognized, happy. My bios was currently set to 2.5 CAS latency, and the new stick plays well with ƒ) 256m sticks, in a Via K7VT3A mother (which has three RAM slots). The upgrade from 512M to 1570M is nicely worth ำ and the technique acts like I doubled the processor speed, even when booting. Now I can install Solaris 10.Thanks, Patriot, thanks Egg! UPS three-day delivery is five days. They don't know what a "day" is. Egg shipped similar day as order. Ű.62 for a 1 oz. item is too considerably, even at nowadays's fuel prices. Could be mailed USPS for ũ.35 and nevertheless arrive in 5 days.
