HP said it wouldn't work. HP Forum users said it wouldn't function. Even Patriot tech assistance said it wouldn't work on my aging collection of HP dv6000 and dv9000 series laptops, which are reported as getting a 4gb limitation. But, I pleased to report that IT Works just fine, thank you. Thanks to these modules, I can squeeze further years of valuable life from my older machines. Now, the HDD light hardly blinks as 64-bit Vista and Windows 7 finds a use for this more RAM. I really feel like I'm beating the method, due to the fact I get to run these machines longer than the 'system' desires me to.Sure DDR2 is on the way out and this stuff isn't affordable in comparison to DDR3, but hey, it's sure less expensive than a new laptop. I'm gonna retain getting these Patriot modules until I've packed all five of my HP dv-6000/dv9000/Compaq F700 laptops with a total 8gb. I just hope they preserve making these at a decent cost longer than it takes me to rake up the income. Thanx Patriot for extending the life of my antiques. Took out the old memory from my dv7-1262us and place in this one and it worked with out any matters. None with the item. Newegg's shipping from Edison, NJ to Connecticut tends to make completely no sense. You ship the item from Edison, NJ which is two hours and 30 minutes south of here on my car. It then goes to Walpole, MA which is 2 hours and 30 minutes north east from right here. It makes totally no sense. I've sent regular mail down to Vineland, NJ which is farther away and it takes two days to get there vs the 4 days with your convoluted strategy.

Affordable & great efficiency.Worked with no a hitch on my sony vaio laptop vgn vz560.I was only in a position to use this 4gb with the 2gb standard issued memory by sony. it recognized suitable away with Win 7 Ultimate without having problem. Now a total of five.93gb. None so far. Not certain why I couldn't use a total of 8gb Ɣx2) with this sony laptop? I've tested with the prior set of ram but was unsuccessful. So i RMA the 8gb set & got the 4gb as an alternative. It was in a position to use a total of up to 6gb. The problem wasn't the ram but the laptop sony vaio vgn bz 560.

cost and compatibility none installed in a Thinkpad T61p 񣎹-DSU) operating Windows 7 Pro x64 and no issues. Replaced the original 1Gb SODIMM that came with the laptop. Employed CPU-Z and confirmed that it scaled back to match speed and timings of a 2Gb stick of Crucial PC2-5300 from a previous upgrade. Anxious to see how many VMs I can run now that I have 6Gb total. I guess my only complaint is that DDR2 is significantly pricier than DDR3. Not Newegg's fault even though; their cost was as very good as I could uncover and the service was outstanding as usual.

Good stable RAM which displays the clock it's supposed to.RAM boot up test says it's flawless. Not confident if this is a motherboard (Most likely) or RAM concern, but my BIOS only displays 2 GB's, Windows 7 displays four GB's but only 1.96 GB's usable.No heat spreader, most likely doesn't heat up considerably though.

Installed 2-4gb sticks in my Toshiba L300D-03KR. Booted up and works good with no glitches. Packaged good and shipped from Newegg, LA and received in BC Canada in 3 small business days. Modest raise in speed, and most noticeable when memory intensive apps are open. Wonderful info and resource aid from Patriot Tech support. Cost has dropped a ũ.50/stick considering that I bought. Will continue to use Patriot memory and acquire from Newegg. None so far. Costs for this memory are steep and could usually be lower.

Install it, start off the laptop and it's seen and works initially time with NO issues. Just like memory is suppossed to! Too poor it isn't at the cost levels of DDR3, but Newegg has the best deal about for this memory as with most everything. Not specifically as pictured. The display show a module with four memory chips on the side of the module, and the ones I received actually have 8. Shouldn't matter in actual world computing.
