Comment:
Last appreciate for this product.. I myself bought it when they very first came out and had a sell on right here for 20 to 30 off. Size, Read speed, write is okay(any ntfs to fat 32 is gonna be slow to create) Very good for mass video/music/picture storage and detects quickly. not more affordable to by more then a single David you unique... it aluminum shell covered in rubber to grantee that its shock and water proof.... if you bend it in your pocket then you must have got hit by a vehicle. It's a lengthy lasting strong drive some sandisk ones you drop or just un plug and plug in they just quiet working but not the XT higher advise to acquire!! |

Size, 32GB holds the equivalent of six compressed DVD motion pictures for me. Read speed is very quick. I did some in depth testing and located the write speed is the slowest of my thumb drives. All had been tested under the identical situations with the ATTO_Disk_Benchmark program that Patriot recommends and lists on their site in FAQ. My Corsair Flash Voyager 1GB writes twice as fast and my Corsair Flash Voyager GT 8GB writes three occasions as quick. This speed difference also carries over to the actual globe when copying (writing) files into the Patriot Xporter XT drive. Once more, all drives tested with the similar files. I tried to speed up the write speed by changing the formatting to NTSF but only produced matters worse. Had to format back to FAT32.The case is rubbery, but is not fragile as other individuals have stated. I wouldn't put it in my rear pocket and sit on it, but frequent sense says you don't do that to any thumb drive. I am not thinking about carrying out a rma considering that the 32GB capability out weighs the slow create speed. I just want they had been a bit more up front about it's (lack of) speed. Manufacturer Response:Dear Thorg I'm sorry you're encountering slow read/write speeds. Did you reformat the drive immediately after recieving it? If you can contact me at the e mail address beneath, we can diagnose the situation.John SmithPatriot Memory Technical Assistancehelp@patriotmem.com |

Good exterior, Substantial capacity The drive constantly demands to be low-level formatted. It sometimes puts itself into write protected mode till its reformatted. It's not any quicker than other flash drives. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Customer,The behavior of the drive is very uncommon. In addition, due to the capacity of the drive itself, it could be slower than smaller sized capacity drives out there. Please don't hesitate to make contact with assistance@patriotmem.com for any technical difficulties you could have. We'd like to do what it requires to get your concern resolved.Kind Regards,Patriot Memory Assistance |

Worked beautifully proper out of the box. Necessary a fast USB drive to do XP Embedded image testing Ran the XP Embedded studio USB formatting utility to make drive bootable and noticed appropriate away a massive drop in write efficiency. Went to Patriot site for support. On their forum there had been other folks who complained of identical situation soon after formatting. Located suggestion to run the Patriot low level formatting utility to fix issue. Ran the utility and the efficiency still sucks. Even worst when I attempt operating the utility again I get error messeage "Device information block is corrupted, please return through RMA." this thing brand is new. I have 4 sandisk usb drives and never ever encounter this problem. Want I could give his thing eggs Manufacturer Response:Hello sf,We are sorry with any troubles you've been experiencing withyour drive. I bought this drive when it was 贶+ and it was totally worth it then and now. I recommend this drive to any individual who mentions USB Drives, in particular that it about ์ now. It's not 128GB :/ |

Reasonably rapid but not as rapidly as the price tag premium would suggest. See the attached benchmarks. Whilst the create speeds are about 15% faster then a reasonable high quality generic 32GB drive I would have hopped for much more. Somewhat high priced and therefore not a good worth. Totally wrapped in rubber. I have accidentally washed this drive 3 occasions now and functions like a charm. Does properly with the shock value as nicely considering that my youngsters believed it would be funny to throw it across the room The cap. If you dont keep track of it when you have the drive plugged in then your going to shed it. Wish they would have put some sort of capture device for it. With todays tech I wished something as advertised as 32gb would be closer to that mark than 29.1. |

Large capacity and more quickly than nearly all the other USB drives I have. Dropped more times than I can count and nonetheless performs fantastic! Lost the cap the first week I had it! Nonetheless works great... I have an old Toshiba USB drive that had a lanyard hole in both the physique and the cap. This allowed me to thread the thin supplied lanyard through each components so the cap would just dangle there when I utilised the device... Nevertheless have the cap to this day... Other producers who refuse to intergrate the cover into the physique ought to take note... |

Good cost with rebate, sturdy develop. Upon initial examination I discovered this drive to have 29.7 GB of storage alternatively of the advertised 32, seriously frustrating to obtain a large drive and come across over two GB missing. Manufacturer Response:Dear Valued Buyer,What you're seeing is appropriate. The advertised capacity of 32GB is expressed in millions of bytes, hence 32,000,000 bytes. All storage type devices will be expressed in SI prefixes pre-format, when formatted in use for the operating system the actual number for a formatted capacity will be shown in binary which is less capacity. I've been utilizing this for just about a year and it's nevertheless running wonderful. No problems at all. It's been stepped on, dropped, left in the rain, and beaten on fairly hard for a very good 11 months and it's still running fantastic. Oh yeah, it's quite low cost for the space as well. The speed appears to be inconsistent. From time to time it's seriously rapid, and often it's painfully slow. I assume it has to do with the random writes/load balancing, but it's quick enough for my uses. Also, the cap is fairly significantly useless and I lost it in the 1st couple of weeks. If you're employing this as your OS drive, expect to be disappointed. If you're like me and you just like to bring some utilities and you music with you wherever you go, it functions wonderful. Don't worry about the cap much, this issue can take a beating devoid of it. |

Super rapidly transfer speeds. This device makes an amazing install drive. I use this device for windows installs. A lot quicker than using a CD/DVD. It also has lots of space to place all of my normally utilised apps.I did a windows 7 install on a machine working with this flash drive in significantly less than 12 minutes. Rubber cap currently lost. I still think that its water proof nonetheless. It was just too simple to shed. Fantastic flash drive for the income. If you are searching for speed above all else then this is the flash drive for you. |

Tough, "in use" light bulky, SLOW, yes I said SLOW- I just copied 16gb worth of files to it, and it took 90 minutes. MY other flash drive took about 25 minutes, and it is a year older. I paid ๋ for this drive, considering it would be quickly. The marketing and advertising of 200x more quickly is a gimmick. They should list the read/write stats. Guess we don't have to wonder why they don't. Very disappointed. Manufacturer Response:Dear usbuser,What you are describing is uncommon. May well be nice to have that much capacity, if it were dependable. Any benefit to having 32 GB for backup or what ever disappears when it fails. It failed past the 30-day replacement window, in significantly less than 90 days. It was kept on the desk, employed for redundant data backup, and abruptly 1 day there's no data, Vista finds a removable disk, can't study or create to it. - Rapid create and even quicker reads.- rubberized coating does a nice job in defending the device from drops or moisture also provides it a nice surface to hang on to.- 32gb is a lot of space for a smaller device like this. It is little sufficient that I carry this about each day in my front pants pocket.- good bright blue activity light that is uncomplicated to see - Cap does come off straightforward and could be lost.- It is a small massive to match side by side with an additional USB port. Nonetheless most PCs now have a number of ports to choose from and some on the front, so this is not generally an situation. (plus I have tons of those little USB extensions that can be employed if needed) I perform on PCs as my job and I use this everyday and I carry it with me everywhere. (I put it in my pocket 1st factor in the morning and take it out just just before bed). I have completed this with the 4gb version for years and it nevertheless performs. That is why I decided to get a different Patriot Xporter when I decided to upgrade for far more space. |

Tons of space and decent write speeds. Cap looks like it could get lost. But the danger you take. |
A substantial drive, one of the largest for a reasonable quantity of cash. I didn't have a dilemma with speed, even though I didn't do any speed tests. Only worked in 1 of five computer systems tested. I noted that of the computers that didn't work, the USB port was on some sort of a cable or dongle or adapter. The 1 personal computer that worked was on-board USB. So it was determined by me (and their disappointing technical support division) to be a energy requirement challenge. The major objective of this drive is not speed or even size, it is compatiblity. With no compatibility, there is no advantage to the substantial size and quickly speed. If I only needed to use this in one particular pc, I could give it yet another egg or two. But because I can't trust my data on it, the device is generally useless. Manufacturer Response:Dear Kinglerch I noticed that you may well be having a USB voltage challenge. A few of our bigger drives perform best when connected straight to a USB two. onboard USB port. This allows the excellent situations for performance! If you have any questions please get in touch with me personally.John SmithPatriot Memory Technical Help Teamassistance@patriotmem.com
