Last appreciate for this product.. I myself bought it when they very first came out and had a sell on right here for 20 to 30 off. Size, Read speed, write is okay(any ntfs to fat 32 is gonna be slow to create) Very good for mass video/music/picture storage and detects quickly. not more affordable to by more then a single David you unique... it aluminum shell covered in rubber to grantee that its shock and water proof.... if you bend it in your pocket then you must have got hit by a vehicle. It's a lengthy lasting strong drive some sandisk ones you drop or just un plug and plug in they just quiet working but not the XT higher advise to acquire!! |

Worked beautifully proper out of the box. Necessary a fast USB drive to do XP Embedded image testing Ran the XP Embedded studio USB formatting utility to make drive bootable and noticed appropriate away a massive drop in write efficiency. It's genuinely quickly, I use is as a bootable USB drive with backtrack three USB version on a single partition on it. I use it for sneakernet (Data Transfer by means of USB thumb Drive). I use it for Information backup by way of a program I wrote that automatically backs up my information each and every day to this drive. It genuinely is Rapidly and hassle-free. Totally wrapped in rubber. I have accidentally washed this drive 3 occasions now and functions like a charm. Does properly with the shock value as nicely considering that my youngsters believed it would be funny to throw it across the room The cap. This drive is a very good drive and it does what it is supposed to.The transfer speeds are great and I have no complaints. I have lost the cap a couple of times, but I have often threw enough sand in the air that it gets identified. (My children use it generally) I purchased this when it was over twice the cost now and have in no way had any issues with it.I use it for information storage, I watch videos from it on my WD Live box in HD on the Tv.Never any compatibility problems from XP to Vista to 7. Even 2000 had no difficulties. (Yes I mentioned 2000) |

It's been stepped on, dropped, left in the rain, and beaten on fairly hard for a very good 11 months and it's still running fantastic. Oh yeah, it's quite low cost for the space as well. The speed appears to be inconsistent. From time to time it's seriously rapid, and often it's painfully slow. I assume it has to do with the random writes/load balancing, but it's quick enough for my uses. Also, the cap is fairly significantly useless and I lost it in the 1st couple of weeks. If you're employing this as your OS drive, expect to be disappointed. If you're like me and you just like to bring some utilities and you music with you wherever you go, it functions wonderful. Don't worry about the cap much, this issue can take a beating devoid of it. |

Super rapidly transfer speeds. This device makes an amazing install drive. I use this device for windows installs. A lot quicker than using a CD/DVD. It also has lots of space to place all of my normally utilised apps.I did a windows 7 install on a machine working with this flash drive in significantly less than 12 minutes. Rubber cap currently lost. I still think that its water proof nonetheless. It was just too simple to shed. Fantastic flash drive for the income. Tough, "in use" light bulky, SLOW, yes I said SLOW- I just copied 16gb worth of files to it, and it took 90 minutes. MY other flash drive took about 25 minutes, and it is a year older. I paid ๋ for this drive, considering it would be quickly. The marketing and advertising of 200x more quickly is a gimmick. They should list the read/write stats. May well be nice to have that much capacity, if it were dependable. Any benefit to having 32 GB for backup or what ever disappears when it fails. It failed past the 30-day replacement window, in significantly less than 90 days. Price, size Quite unreliable on 1-7 GB file copies, in other words, files that are incredibly big in size from 1 to about 7 GB in size. Will throw delayed write errors and time outs 50% of the time. A substantial drive, one of the largest for a reasonable quantity of cash. I didn't have a dilemma with speed, even though I didn't do any speed tests. Only worked in 1 of five computer systems tested. I noted that of the computers that didn't work, the USB port was on some sort of a cable or dongle or adapter. The 1 personal computer that worked was on-board USB. So it was determined by me (and their disappointing technical support division) to be a energy requirement challenge. The major objective of this drive is not speed or even size, it is compatiblity. With no compatibility, there is no advantage to the substantial size and quickly speed. If I only needed to use this in one particular pc, I could give it yet another egg or two. But because I can't trust my data on it, the device is generally useless.
