RAZER ABYSSUS Black Wired Optical High Precision Gaming Mouse
Cons: Razer mouse logo doesn't turn off when you shutdown. turn off the system.really only negative

Pros: You don't have to use Razer software as mouse has slide buttoned settings underneath the mouse.Works good on detection with MS drivers.
Comment:
A lefty can use this mouse with no real issues, works good and reasonable price. Its an either hand mouse. Can use with MS OS installed mouse software with no issues. Its a decent mouse.... watch for it around on sale prices

RAZER ABYSSUS Black Wired Optical High Precision Gaming Mouse
Cons: Small! No option to turn off blue LED logo. Three buttons seem like an anachronism on a relatively high-end mouse.

Pros: Well-built. Grippy surface is good for sweaty grips. Inexpensive for a Razer mouse. Very good resolution.
Comment:
I prefer mice with thumb buttons but button number and layout is a personal thing, really. However, for a mouse that's priced only one step below the Deathadder, only having three buttons seems like a poor trade-off for less money. The LED-lit logo on the top didn't turn off when I shut down my computer, and there was no option to turn it off in the software. I have no idea if it's been changed since. That wasn't the issue that made me pawn it though. This mouse is far too small for me to use comfortably for gaming (it's between travel mice and full-sized mice in size)! I briefly played L4D with the mouse and my hand cramped up within a few minutes. Even with a less frantic game like Torchlight, I had hand cramps for days if I tried to play for more than an hour. To me, to not mention such a significant size issue in the product blurb is inadmissable (I bought this mouse before Linus posted his hands-on).That said, YMMV. If you have smaller hands than I do, or if you prefer a claw grip, this size may be perfect for you.

RAZER ABYSSUS Black Wired Optical High Precision Gaming Mouse
Cons: -A little bit small for big hands-No side buttons???

Pros: -Same surface as other Razer mice (smooth)-Good tracking
Comment:
This mouse could've been good if it was a little bit bigger and actually had side buttons. Otherwise it's a fine mouse.

RAZER ABYSSUS Black Wired Optical High Precision Gaming Mouse
Cons: -Requires a mouse pad-Price

Pros: -DPI-Comfort (for claw gamers)-Accuracy (most of the time)-Mousewheel
Comment:
This Mouse is great. I never realized what I was missing with lower DPIs, but 3500 DPI sure did improve my skill level. I can't snipe worth a damn, but dancing around as a scout in TF2, I'm incredible.Coming from a Razer Krait, I was quite surprised that this mouse requires a mousepad. My Krait worked fine on my desk, but my new Abyssus dances around in circles and odd S shapes. The sensor gets quite confused, and if it does this while gaming, that obviously throws off your aim a lot. Make sure you pick up a good mouse pad like an OCZ Behemoth, and this mouse will serve you well.Notes: It's a bit shorter than my Krait. Because of the short form factor, the buttons are about 60% as long as the mouse. The blue LED is a bit bright if you aren't used to glowing Razer mice. I don't mind, since my hand is usually covering it, but some people might.Definitely on my list of great mice for serious gamers.Edit: Oh yes, I almost forgot. The mousewheel is perfect. Best mousewheel out of all the Logitech, Razer, Gigabyte, Microsoft, etc. mice that I've ever tried. This review was modfied by poster @ 05-11-10 07:27 PM

RAZER ABYSSUS Black Wired Optical High Precision Gaming Mouse
Cons: sketchy optical sensorsoftware is just an abomination. I can't even use itbutton to price ratio. near on 17 bucks per button

Pros: quality mouse. That is all.
Comment:
This mouse replaces a MS Comfort Optical Mouse 3000 which was just an atrociously cheap mouse in feel and construction. This mouse on the other hand has been a treat. I wanted a mouse that was simple with the standard 2 buttons and a wheel but a quality piece of hardware and this fit the bill right on. The clicks are nice and I really like the shape. The mouse tracks well and points right where I want it to. The top is covered in a rubbery like coating that I like. The two switches under the mouse are a useful feature for when you need high or low sensitivity on the fly. The blue LED is not really needed and is kinda gimmicky but I suppose it adds something to it's looks. The mouse has a sensor that is somewhat finicky that no other mice I've used has had. The cursor would skip around on my old Max Payne cloth mouse pad. The solution was a thorough cleaning of my mouse pad and all the skipping went away. Also my mouse pad has never looked better so a win-win in my book. The software Razer provides on their website is just plain bad. It makes the mouse unusable no matter how much fiddling you do with the controls so that got uninstalled and I just use the default MS drivers in Windows which turns out is spot on.I like it a lot and would likely buy it again

RAZER ABYSSUS Black Wired Optical High Precision Gaming Mouse
Cons:- small weight- no extra buttons

Pros:- small- fast click- smooth, responsive, accurate- blue led
Comment:
Upgrading from a razer diamondback, this mouse is similar in size. It is smaller in height but a little fatter. I think it is a great mouse for fps games where you need to make quick and accurate decisions. A+ on control. The mouse clicks are softer allowing you to click faster. Also when you lift the mouse up a few millimeters and put it back down, it doesn't jerk around like other mice. One thing that would make this better is if there were custom weights to put in the bottom because I find this mouse too light weighted.

RAZER ABYSSUS Black Wired Optical High Precision Gaming Mouse
Cons:- None.

Pros:- Suitable swap from a Copperhead for a fingertip gamer.- Non-slip top.- Quiet buttons, mouse wheel has ideal resistance.- Lightweight.- Short form factor.- Hardware DPI switch on underside.
Comment:
I've exclusively used Razer mice since the original Boomslang in 1999. From there I went to the Diamondback, but couldn't stand how easy it was to accidentally click the side buttons, so I switched to a Copperhead which basically moved them down a bit.Since then I've realized that I never use the side buttons on my mouse, and being a fingertip gamer I've also come to learn that a smaller, lighter mouse is mouse suitable. So I replaced my aging Copperhead with an Abyssus and so far I love it. Despite the bad reviews people give, claiming that any "real" mouse should have side buttons, well guess what, different people have different preferences so for me this is perfect.
