LED is vividRubber keys really feel good After putting in I had to disconnect and reconnect to get the "touchpad" to function. I don't use the touchpad at all. It's quite considerably useless to me. The only function is to turn the lights off and on simply, but they only go off since I accidentally press the button in the initial spot. My third day of working with it, I finally got the challenge of a essential sticking. The essential would cease functioning all collectively and the only way to repair it is to unplug and plug it back in. For 80 dollars this is unacceptable. Will be returning it, possibly choosing up the new Razer Blackwidow Ultimate, or the Steelseries Merc Stealth.

I got this keyboard in August and has worked perfectly because day 1. No hiccups, lockups, etc. I enjoy the blue backlit keys as it matches properly with my Razer Mamba. The USB port is practical for fast access for USB drives, mp3 players, or other portable devices. The media touch pad works but is entirely unnecessary. Classic buttons would have worked superior. The WASD lighting choice is kinda worthless. I'd a lot rather have individual lighting for every separate button. Numerous USB ports, other backlight colors, and detachable cord would have been other excellent features that should been considered by Razer.

1ǚ keys are good See other thoughts. Do not purchase this keyboard. I am currently writing this from a backup, low cost-o, MS keyboard soon after my second Lycosa died. The initial Lycosa I purchased worked perfectly for about five months, then random keys stopped working. The second Lycosa I purchases worked for ㅖ days just before the keys stopped operating.Again, do not acquire this keyboard. Keys that randomly quit working on a *gaming* keyboard is unaccepatable

Back-lighting, essential texture, value I purchase a Lycosa and the keys would constantly quit operating. I shot an e-mail to RAZER and they told me it was a defective keyboard. I returned it and picked up another Lycosa only to have the exact same concern, only not as typically.NOTE: The above issues were with ALL software program and drivers up to date. I tried this keyboard on three different computers, every with a unique OS (XP Pro 32bit, Vista 32bit, Win7 64bit). Very same troubles with all three.I DO NOT Advocate THIS KEYBOARD!

The rubberized keys feel much superior to me than standard plastic located on almost just about every other keyboard out there and thankfully, they aren't glossy.Soon after three-4 years of ownership and heavy use, only the wasd keys have began to show any wear and I've employed this keyboard for a lot a lot more than gaming. The glossy sides are a finger print magnet. Coat the whole keyboard!Soon after 3-four years of ownership the rubber on the wasd keys has began to put on off. There are other coating/material possibilities offered that do not do this; Sony Ericsson uses one instance on quite a few of their phones.Recently the touch keys in the media controls have not responded appropriately at times, such as causing the backlight to cycle at random. It only happened for a handful of days so it may possibly have been debris. The audio pass-throughs add a notable quantity of signal noise to the lines so I pretty much in no way use them. On the other hand my speaker sets have usually had headphone jacks on the desktop controller so its been a non-issue. I haven't observed any major difference in the lighting intensity from section to another except when only the wasd keys are lit; they get much brighter. The palm rest isn't glossy making the appear a bit inconsistent. The trapezoidal shape of the keys tends to make it challenging for larger debris to fall in among the keys, but it also makes it nearly impossible to clean/vacuum the tray without having getting rid of keys or disassembling the keyboard.Overall I actually like this keyboard and if it ever dies absolutely

Loved the design of the keyboard and the backlit quiet low profile keys. I've returned this keyboard twice. There are specific keys on the keyboard that will just quit functioning and you have to reboot the computer in order for it to develop into functional once more. I thought by removing the razer computer software that it would make a difference but it didn't. Its a shame also due to the fact its honestly a gorgeous keyboard. I just cant have this issue going dead in the course of raids. -_-

The Lycosa looks great (when the lights work). The rubberized texture on the keys feel great. I like that it has a headphone and mic jack on the keyboard as effectively as a USB plug-in. I also like that the keys are low profile and not bulky. 1. The lights would turn themselves off and you would not be in a position to turn them back on for a minute or two by touching the light on/off button.2. Just about every now and then one particular of the keys would just cease operating. Commonly on the WASD keys, which although playing a game (especially on-line) can truly be frustrating and just flat out suck. The only way to repair it is to either reboot your Pc or unplug the keyboard for about 30 sec to a minute and plug it back in (but unplugging it doesn't generally perform).3. The volume controls generally don't function and at times the volume would just max itself out unexpectedly, so if you are wearing headphones that can come as an unpleasant surprise. I am quite disappointed with the keyboard, but I am getting a challenging time letting go of it, since it looks and feels fantastic. I hate the complications the Lycosa has and the problems are just flat out annoying and inconvenient. But I haven't been capable to locate a keyboard that I would like to replace it with. The closest would have to be the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard. Anyways, general, the Lycosa looks and feels great, but Razer definately requirements to work on it's functionality. So if you can place up with the functional problems, go ahead and get it at your personal danger. If not, I would suggest obtaining something else.

Lights up so you can see the keys in the dark. I know which keys are which, so this isn't such a biggie. Looks cool. The media buttons broke proper following the keyboard was out of warranty, which is only 90 days. The media forward button is continuously "pressed", so it lags my laptop or computer and renders it unusable though the keyboard is plugged in. Letter keys stop operating after a although and force a reboot which makes it possible for me to use my personal computer for a few minutes before it breaks again. Razer assistance had the audacity to inform me that my keyboard was unaffected by this bug, and that all they could advocate is that I use the most current driver version. The keyboard is going in the trash and I'm out ๠. This keyboard actually is a heap of trash. I liked it whilst it lasted, but their help is so horrible I couldn't suggest acquiring a item from them. This is my second Razer product, the initial lasted only two weeks just before it stopped working, so excellent customer service is significant with a company like this. I can only recommend that if you should have this keyboard, get the extended warranty so at least you can get new ones inside the first year as they break.

This keyboard is attractive. They button layout is the ideal I could have asked for, and the LED keys are often fancy to appear at. The keys on my keyboard would randomly cease responding. They would not respond until the keyboard was unplugged and plugged back in. In the course of a raid, we were about to down a boss when my keys stopped responding. I lost my patience and needless to say I ripped the keyboard to pieces and melted it in my front yard. I have bought far as well quite a few Razer merchandise. ALL of them have failed me in one particular way yet another.Lycosa - Keys stopped responding.Razer Diamondback - Firmware failure. Mouse would jitterRazer Deathadder - Firmware failure, mouse couldn't handle rapidly movements and would bug out. I am never purchasing one more Razer product. I'm sick of the way they advertise their goods to seem to be superior than they are. Sure, they look fancy and high tech, but beneath the hood they're garbage. I want to like Razer. I really like how their solutions look. They will need to perform on good quality.

Thin sleek design and style. I like the really feel of the keys. Soon after a specific period of time (not extended) random keys do not respond. Only repair is to unplug the keyboard and plug it back in. I will not suggest Razor products to everyone right after this. This shouldn't be happening to this a lot of folks.

Cons:A gaming keyboard with hard to press keys??? Super finger print absorbant black finish (your keyboard will be ugly after a week) Yeah hard to press keys (had to mention it again)

Pros:Looks good when you buy it... Nice LED display. Yep thats it
Comment:
Razer products look good, thats about it... Never in my life I had so much trouble with a 70$ keyboard before... I have 3-4 keys that are so hard to press you have to remember to smack your keyboard when using those keys... the black finish was the most stupid idea they could ever think. If you have 70$ to spend avoid razer products since they dont seem to know how to make there own products durable...

It looks great, nice feel when pressing keys, backlighting is great. The keys just randomly cease responding. The only way to fix this, is to unplug the keyboard and plug it back in. This is a large inconvience, and Must NOT Take place with a gaming keyboard this pricey. I am not the only one who has had this problem, just read all of the evaluations. BEWARE, don't buy this product. It may well lead to you to rip it to shreads, i'm nevertheless cleaning up components of keys.

- Mild LED's that aren't annoying when gaming in a darker space.- Touchpad media keys work nicely. Ignore reviews that mention the media keys not working while another program is open. This is a software/settings issue with their media player, and not this keyboard.- The keys are a great soft rubber. Straightforward to game and kind with.- Very comfy, and effortless to use for hours on finish.- The paint on the keys doesn't rub off! This is key for back-lit keyboards. - The media keys can take two or three occasions to press prior to they register. - It doesn't beat bosses for me. - Replaced a Saitek Eclipse I with this keyboard, and I adore it. Exactly where the Eclipse fell brief with media keys, and the paint rubbing off so the LED's shined by way of, this keyboard has no difficulties. - The newer Eclipse series seem to have all of the media keys now, but nonetheless has the situation of the paint rubbing off.- I haven't created use of the extra USB slot, or the headphone jack so I can't comment on these.

Keys really feel fantastic, the keyboard itself looks good and sleek. Good craftsmanship, easy to install. The lights are plenty vibrant with out getting As well bright. Overall, a fantastic small keyboard. Wish the palmrest detached with a bit far more ease, the screws aren't the very best approach for speedy removal. Cord is just a -bit- heavy also. General, I fully adore this keyboard.

This is by far the fanciest and most costly keyboard I have ever applied. It is fantastic for gaming and every little thing else. Keys have a nice non slip feel. The blue led's are a nice touch. If you do not know how to sort this keyboard is not for you. Devoid of turning on the lights you cant really see which important is what. Fantastic overall solution. I wish you could set up the led's to alter with the unique profiles. Perhaps you can and I have just not cared sufficient to locate it out. i have ever once had the keyboard lock up on me.

I got this keyboard for my girlfriend because we game with each other a lot and I enjoy all of my razer items. Although I still prefer my old Tarantula to this keyboard it is still an excellent keyboard and she loves it.No troubles setting it up, everything works perfectly. Quick and responsive. It's a Razer item. The touch pad media keys cannot be utilised whilst the back-light is off. Sort of stupid.Overall the keyboard is difficult to use with no the back-light on even though this is prevalent amongst back-lit keyboards (happened to my old G15).No macro keys. Keyboard as an odd really feel to it compared to other keyboards but after you get use to it it's very comfy to use. It's a razer product, call/e-mail them if one thing's incorrect, I've only ever had excellent interactions with their representatives.
