Thinking of it only operates about 40% of the time I'd say absolutely nothing. This is a terrible keyboard, the keys constantly cease operating and or particular keys get stuck with no pressing them in the initially location. I've tried to contact Razer directly, but it appears they are really challenging to get in contact with given that they don't supply any info on their webiste. I would appear into a true firm such as Logitech... Manufacturer Response:Hello,I want to 1st apologize for any troubles you have had with your Razer Lycosa. the durability of the keyboard is exceptional, and the back glow is superb. you will notice that none of my sentences start with a capital letter. that is mainly because each of the shift keys on this keyboard have stopped working. i'm not also surprised even though, because some keys suddenly cease working about each and every 30 minutes, and i have to unplug and re-plug the keyboard for their function to return. judging by othe posts, thee isa high failuwi asd. as well funny, though typing this, the r and backspace stopped operating. i decided to leave that here as a demonstration of what to expect. obtain at your own peril. |

Low profile keys, touch and feel of keys, great lighting, great key customization. Incredible keyboard when it operates properly! This is my second keyboard. 1st a single went dead right after a week. Newegg replaced it for me thankfully! This 2nd a single will sometimes randomly lock on a essential. Recently it was the correct key, and I had to restart me pc. Plug and repkig didn't even function. Then other occasions a crucial will just die on me. I have two friends that use this keyboard and they've never had a difficulty with it. So perhaps it's just my negative luck lol |

RAZER Lycosa Black Wired Standard Gaming Keyboard
Cons:Mirror finish, not a very smart idea for something that's main purpose is to be touched-'W' key has never worked right
Pros:Backlight keys-Good typing feel to keys-Looks cool-Powered USB and headphone/mic jacks on keyboard are nice-Media buttons Comment:
From the day I received it the 'W' key has given me nothing but trouble. I literally have to pound it to get it to register. Pretty odd especially for a 'gaming' keyboard. Other than that, the keyboard is actually pretty decent. The mirror finish is a terrible idea, but thats in the description, so buy it at your own peril. It does look really nice and as long as you take care of your gear, it seems to hold up just fine. I've had mine almost two years and after it's daily wipe down, it still looks purdy.A lot of people rag on this keyboard, but if you price backlit keyboards, this is one of the cheapest, especially if you catch it on sale, so I guess.... you get what you pay for.It does have a real nice 'feel' to it and other than the 'W' key issue, I've never had any problems with mine.Definitely not a five star product by any means, a solid three seems about right. |

Cons:After 3 years of using this? Apart from the rubber keys wearing out. Nothing.
Pros:Rubber finish on the keysIlluminated KeysMusic ControlUSB & Sound in the back Comment:
I love this keyboard, I got it as a gift a few years ago from a friend and ever since ... I have fallen in love with Razer keyboards. The illumination is just amazing, when you are gaming in the dark you will always know what to push. After some intense gaming uses for the keyboard, the only keys that are semi-worn off are the wasd and the space keys. |

It's overall a wonderful keyboard! Great feel, looks good, and has really the quickly response time! You know, it has superb response time....WHEN IT RESPONDS! numerous occasions playing sc2 or call of duty i have had keys fail on me. its quite incredibly quite frustrating to have to unplug and plug back in my keyboard every single hour simply because keys dont operate.Keys also get stuck, Actual ANNOYING when you are healing a tank in games like WoW.I also hate not getting able to spawn units each 10th game i play mainly because my one particular of my hotkeys cuts out in a crucial moment. I'm rather annoyed with it and its incredible how this only began to happen actually 3 days following my return policy went void! And no, i don't mistreat my hardware. I function quite challenging for my cash, and i take care of stuff i acquire. |

- Wonderful macro capabilities- Rubber keys- Headphone, mic, and USB ports- Solid construction - Touch media pad WILL break, it's only a matter of time- Razer RMA assistance is TERRIBLE - Loud keystrokes - Clumsy wrist rest I owned my very first Lycosa keyboard for a week ahead of the media pad broke. I believed it was a difficulty with Vista at very first, but when I looked the issue up on the web, it turns out several users have the same issue. I RMA'd it, expecting the difficulty to be fixed in newer models. Immediately after two days, the identical challenge occurred. Razer gave me a hard time about it, saying given that I had already had it replaced as soon as, it wouldn't get replaced once more. So right here I am, a year later, with nevertheless a broken media pad. |

Cons:The software is quite volatile, it took some time with Razer support to get it working.A lot of issues with the keyboard not responding and keys sticking.Keyboard died after 15 months of ownership, warranty lasts for 12 months.
Pros:The rubberized keycaps are very nice. The macro software is very powerful. The flat semi-laptop keys are quite nice.Feels like a solid keyboard, easy to type on with a good back light.Media keys are gimmicky but cool to show off. Comment:
I purchased the keyboard for gaming and programming, the macros have helped both very well and I am quite impressed with the software's power. I am happy with the purchase and the keyboard is very nice but I am disappointed that the keyboard had a lot of issues and has now died after 15 months of use. I would buy again but with a longer warranty. |

It has subtle blue backlighting, which I do not care about.Speaker/Mic/USB passthrough. Rubber dome keyboard.Completely horrible ghosting, my ฟ Microsoft comfort curve from walmart has superior "anti-ghosting". With the lycosa if you are working with keys inside the "gaming cluster" (WASD and a couple other keys), you can press as several as you want, anywhere else you are restricted to two keys.... two. On the comfort curve I can press 4 anyplace on the keyboard and sometimes up to 6. So yes, the ฟ keyboard has far better "anti-ghosting" than this ๛ one particular. I use ESDF so certainly their small "gaming cluster" doesn't seriously function for me.Why is this keyboard ๛? |

Great keyboard, lights aren't too bright, rubberized keys have a good really feel. Also being able to disable the windows keys is a lifesaver for any gamer. The drivers are garbage (on windows 7 at least) lights would cycle on wasd and all. Touch pad manage does not operate with itunes at all, despite the fact that they operate beautifully with windows media player. With certain games, older ones a lot more so, this keyboard would constantly launch windows media player and cycle through the lighting settings when it would work at all. Uninstall the drivers and this keyboard functions fantastic other than becoming compatible with itunes. I like this keyboard but razer desires to get their act together and repair these terrible drivers. |

-Nice seeking style-Ease of use-Key illumination looks superb-Touchpad Media Controls-Rubberized keys feel far better than plain plastic -A bit overpriced-Media controls don't truly operate for me (see beneath)-Attracts dirt & dust incredibly effortlessly This keyboard is a good upgrade from my prior basic essentials keyboard. The illumination is excellent and I love the touchpad light control, it functions quite very easily. The media player controls although occasionally refuse to work and I normally have to push or hold considerably for them to function. My audio controls on the touchpad have also stopped operating due to the fact I got my wireless headset. Be aware of the dirtiness of your fingers, the rubberized keys will hold oils and grease really easily making your keyboard appear negative. Dust also settles down on the sides very quickly due to the nature of the polished plastic. I feel I ought to have gotten far more for my , but I take pleasure in the item nonethless. I haven't seasoned any keys not working issues, and I hope I never ever do or else I will be very displeased. |

Cons:-attracted to fingerprints especially the glossy finish
Pros:-programmable keys-illuminated keys-rubber finish-removable wrist pad Comment:
This keyboard looks very nice. Low profile keys, similar to the laptop keyboards. For me, the blue illuminated keys was a bit too bright because when it was dark and my head was over the keyboard, the light was bugging my eyes a bit(kind of like twitched). I'm pretty sure that that is JUST my problem, but since this is a review I'm gonna put it out there. The rubber finish keeps on making me want to clean the keys over and over again. Also, if you turn off the lights, you can barely see the writing on the keys. The media touch pad is not bad at all, but the light that it emits when you press the caps lock, num lock, or scroll lock is annoying. The light bulb is like RIGHT under the cover, so at night its kind of disturbing. Overall, it is a very nice keyboard. Since I returned my product, I did not find any bug related things. |

It's super slick, with really nice grip on the keys, and an aesthetic that is in my opinion unmatched (especially with a death adder, a black and blue external, and antec 900 :) Horrible tendancy to break. The very first was RMAd, and the replacement died direction right after warranty expired. From an keyboard I expect far better than that. I'm typing this on the keyboard that came with my Emachines in 2005 >.> I want to like this keyboard, it's sleek, it's attractive and it is in all ways sophisticated, but the make quality makes it a lemon. A fairly lemon, but an high-priced 1 |

(Shift, Enter, Backspace, Caps Lock, Space, etc.) None The keyboard is going robust after well more than a year. I am pleasantly surprised to see that the ASWD keys have not worn down at all. |

Incredibly sophisticated seeking, fantastic feel to the keys, touchpad was useful when it worked, reasonably quiet. Where to start. Keys randomly cease operating (extremely frustrating when playing games), my mic port didn't work, touchpad was incredibly oversensitive most of the time, and most frustratingly of all, particular keys stick for definitely no reason (currently the M important is giving me a lot of trouble). It was challenging just for me to kind this evaluation on my lycosa because of the important sticking concern. For the record i've accomplished analysis on the issue and the serial on my keyboard (mt09) isn't on the list of affected keyboards, and Razer hasn't carried out anything to address the concern in over a year based on some of the forum threads I've visited. |

its nonetheless typing and the backlight stayed on by default even even though the touch controls broke within half a year. Now I under no circumstances moved the keyboard frequently. The first weeks I had bought this keyboard im currently typing on, the letters began to bubble. I had sent razer an e-mail stating this difficulty with no reply. Months pass by and then 1 day the touch screen would not operate anymore. I lost the illuminating functions and media player controls. The Sound extension for your headphones is fully useless. It introduces static into your audio channel. Now I under no circumstances moved the keyboard generally.
