Comment:
It's a good mouse when it functions. Good thought of getting wireless and wired. Provides me possibilities for when i want it. I leave the charging dock at my desktop and take the mouse/wire with me for my laptop. Numerous buttons for macros which is excellent and the changing color lights is usually a plus particularly with my changing color keyboard ITS COLORFUL. Wonderful really feel to it and good options for which grip is correct for you. Adore the buttons that I can plan. This factor didn't even last a week. The charging dock wasn't recognized anymore so only wired so contacted Razer but they were taking too extended to get a result. Sent it back for a replacement but exact same issue. They had me do a bunch of tests which actually produced every little thing worse result in no the mouse doesn't perform at all. They are creating me do additional pointless tests even i tell them it's no longer getting recognized by device manager while being plugged in so duh the firmware update is not going to function... In all probability just going to get a refund for a damaged product. So great mouse until it doesn't perform...

RAZER Naga Epic RZ01-00510100-R3U1 Black Gaming Mouse
Cons:Not ideal for use with a laptop, due to lack of a portable USB transceiver. Expensive.

Pros:Nice size & weight, lots of buttons, interchangeable side plate for added comfort and usability, decent battery life.
Comment:
I purchased this mouse around 2 weeks ago for use on a MSIGT780DX laptop, primarily for use with MMOs. I'm currently using it for Star Wars: The Old Republic. There are many great things about this mouse, especially for MMO players. It has 17 buttons, with a grid of 12 on the left side. The side buttons can be configured to activate the 1-12 keys on top of the keyboard, or the 0-9.+- on the keypad. The included software can also be used to create  macros and different bindings. Using the side buttons takes some getting used to. They are small, and require a fairly firm press. While the 1-6 buttons are easily accessible and useful, the 7-12 buttons, and especially 10-12, are not. These rear buttons are very awkward to access. I feel it would have been more helpful to have the rear buttons protrude out farther, as that would make them less an effort to use. Training your thumb to use the right keys takes some time, and after 2 weeks I still find myself looking when I use buttons 5-12. The mouse does come with rubber 'trainers' - small rubber pieces with adhesive that you can attach to specific buttons and help you identify them by touch more easily. I have not tried these yet, however plan to try using them on the rear 6 buttons more to make them a bit more accessible. The size is great, and works well for someone with larger hands. It comes with three different swappable plates for the right side, allowing for different grips. While this may be one of it's minor features, for me it made a big difference when I found the right one. The weight is very comfortable, and actually fairly light for a wireless mouse. This is a wireless mouse with a wired base, which also serves as a charging station. The USB cable can also be removed from the base and plugged directly into the mouse in order to charge and use it at the same time. A switch on the bottom toggles it between wireless and wired mode. Battery life is acceptable so far. The mouse wheel backlight blinks at 10% battery life. This brings me to my biggest complaint about this mouse. I use this mouse primarily on a laptop, and while it's advertised as a wireless mouse, it really is not as I'm tied with a cable to either the base station or the mouse. I would have preferred a more portable USB transmitter option for laptop use. I've now given up on the base and just use it as a wired mouse, and keep a simple wireless logitech mouse attached for normal use. Considering the significant price increase over the regular Naga, if I had known I was just going to wind up using it as a wired mouse, I would not have purchased the Epic.

RAZER Naga Epic RZ01-00510100-R3U1 Black Gaming Mouse
Cons:None

Pros:Lots of buttons makes a lot easier to use skills in an MMO
Comment:
Great buy especially if you play MMO's as it makes it a lot easier to use all ur skills, and especially if the game has a delay keyboard response. Mouse always responds faster then keyboard for some reason.

I would have had to wait till the 21st of February for Razerzone.com, so I was fairly lucky to snag 1 from Newegg before they sold out too!I enjoy the 16 million color LEDs a lot. The comfortable grips that came with the epic was effectively worth the extra 50 dollars spent on this mouse more than the original in my opinion. The Epic comes with the Claw grip, Palm grip and the Fingertip Grip.I'm kind of weird when it comes to grip styles. I tend to modify my grips for each and every genre. For FPS games, I mainly use the claw grip for rapid movements, and at times even the fingertip grip for even faster movements, for RTS games like Starcraft 2, I use the similar grips as the above, and for MMORPG, I use the palm grip simply because it provides me a comfy leverage towards the 12 buttons. As for the extra buttons, I do not use them for Starcraft 2 simply because I feel like it would decrease my APM, but they are a godsend for MMORPG! The relocation of the two buttons close to the scroll are also a lot less complicated to cli The two relocated buttons near the scroll do feel a bit less expensive due to its shift towards plastic material matching the grips, but it has a more satisfying click compared to the original. The scroll wheel's height has been risen a bit, but only due to having the availability to plug in your mini usb into the mouse.Battery life is a bit lacking when I game for more than 5 hours, but I hardly ever get a chance to game for over 5 hours, and I recharge each and every night, so it doesn't actually bug me. I was in a position to get the mouse to last 7-8 hours on tough usage on default settings and polling rate @ 500Hz. The feature that makes the scroll wheel blink at five% battery life is also quite useful. The only thing I could've asked for is an led on the cradle so I can see where it is at night because it's so slim, but the reality that the mouse and dock have magnetized capabilities make them so uncomplicated to function with the mouse anyways. I need a way to carry this to lan parties whilst keeping it in pristine condition!

None. Wireless was spotty suitable out of the box; extreme mouse lag would commence for no apparent cause. Powercycling the mouse would at times function; no concerns when in wired mode. Foolishly decided this was no huge deal. Bad mistake.Mouse failed entirely just a couple of days out of Newegg's 30-day return policy. Have emailed Razer support for warranty replacement; going by other reviews here, I don't anticipate considerably. 财 for a paperweight. Lights went out and mouse won't respond to any button. I had updated the drivers and firmware to Razer's latest officials 10 minutes following I unboxed it. I'm betting the Razer rep will post his macro saying to update the firmware anyway. Failed in wireless and wired mode: the pointer moves (when wired, not wireless), but no button works and the lights went dead. Tried rebooting several times, tried resyncing to the base: absolutely nothing. I will be avoiding Razer in the future.

- Interchangable side grips- Long cord- I set this up for use with seperate modes for Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. The 12 extra buttons removed some two handed shortcuts, but it is a lengthy understanding curve. Also nice that I can set every program mode with a various color. Computer software auto switches the mouse settings to the program I'm using - which is good when you're switching a lot between software program. -Poor Battery Life/charging time ratio-Bottom pads already half worn in a couple months - If utilizing a mouse pad is required they need to state that or consist of that). (BTW my table best was sanded to 440 grit then steel wooled 4x down to 񕜰 - then covered with 7 layers of danish oil - there is not a smoother best) Hopefully Razer will supply replacement feet pads when this becomes an issue for me.-Firmware Updates not XP 64bit supported - major problems of random sensitivity changes that make the mouse entirely unusable. I went this 1 over the wired Naga for the alternative of the side grips - turns out I utilized the normal fit that the wired Naga uses - quasi/relaxed claw grip. So the extra splurge wasn't worth it for me...the battery on the wireless mode won't final me a day so I maintain it wired.Key issues with the driver/firmware on XP 64bit. The mouse will randomly change to incredibly high sensitivity. This makes it unusable. Absolutely nothing is changed in the software settings when this takes place - occasionally switching among modes will get rid of the dilemma temporarily, other times for rather a even though, but this is not acceptable. Manufacturer Response:Hello Ron,The Razer Naga firmware and drivers must work without having any problems on a XP 64 bit system. If you are having the complications you are describing you could want to get in touch with the Razer Support Team. You can reach them at 888-697-2037 or via email at www.razersupport.com/email.The bottom pads of the Naga are made of durable Ultraslick material and ought to not wear out prematurely. I have personally been using a Razer Naga Epic numerous hours each day for weeks and have not noticed any unusual wear, but various surfaces and gaming styles do impact the wear on any mouse foot. All though, I can not say we have tested them on Danish Oil.:)Please make positive you have the latest firmware and drivers installed. Also that you are charging the battery though the mouse is in the “off” position. I hope these ideas support and if not the support team is there to help you. Razer|Wave

RAZER Naga Epic RZ01-00510100-R3U1 Black Gaming Mouse
Cons:-Wireless battery life isn't that great.-In my experience the side buttons can glitch out and won't respond until I reinstall the mouse firmware.-Very expensive.

Pros:-LOTS OF BUTTONS!!-Powerful laser sensor.-Wireless and wired modes.-Multiple grip solutions.-Comfortable.-Very pretty.
Comment:
Great mouse especially if you enjoy MMO gaming and need some extra buttons. It also performs great with other game genres but it truly shines with MMOs. However if you were planning to purchase this mouse for its wireless feature, don't bother. I found the wireless battery life to be terrible for users like myself who forget to charge the mouse every night. Luckily the mouse can be switched to wired mode which is what I have it in all the time. If you have more of a palm grip and don't need the interchangeable mouse grips, I would suggest getting the regular Razer Naga. It's much cheaper and identical in terms of performance.

This mouse is pretty solid. I Enjoy having 12 buttons at my thumbs disposal. I macro'd my computer system's volume controls, media player controls, as nicely as cut, copy and paste for normal use and browsing and it's SO good! The WoW interface addon is quite solid too. I genuinely like, though it took me a couple days to figure out. On leading of having the 12 buttons, you can have additional action bars that are conditionally activated when you press either shift, control, or alt or any combination of the 3. I have 24 moves very easily accessible working with the numbers set and the shift+numbers set at my correct thumb and left pinky and it's Amazing. If you truly use a TON of moves, you could even get 36 if you wanna throw control+numbers into the mix. THERE ARE Sufficient CONS WITH THIS MOUSE TO SERIOUSLY Take into account IF IT'S WORTH THE Income. The wireless is solid most of the time, but does glitch frequently though not super frequently. The wired mode runs flawlessly, though the wireless mode will sometimes freeze and grow to be completely unresponsive until I unplug and replug the mouse in, and it will also occasionally ghost across the screen and will luckily stay responsive. Still if you're paying 财 for a mouse, I feel like it probably shouldn't have these complications. The only factors that makes it greater than the the standard Razer Naga are the repositioned forward and back buttons which were practically impossible to reach on the Razer Raga (they're now below the scroll were and used to be at the top left of the mouse) and the interchangeable side grips if the Razer Naga's grip doesn't appear like it'd fit you. You essentially have to determine if the moved buttons and interchangeable grip are worth it too you. Vital NOTICE: DO NOT Often CHARGE THIS MOUSE Whilst IT IS ON!!!Soon after about two months my mouse just died so I was checking critiques to see if anybody had a comparable challenge. My mouse became totally unresponsive. My pc would recognize the base, but not the mouse. I tried putting on the recognized base and it didn't work, nor did it work when I plugged the cord directly into the mouse, so it was a issue with the mouse. Eric in an earlier post included an email response from Razer that fixed my mouse:"Also be positive to charge your battery with the mouse in the “off” position. If by chance you take place to totally deplete your battery and the mouse is left in the “on” position , the unit could not work in wired or wireless mode. To solve this just place the mouse in the “off” mode and let it charge for a couple of hours before you attempt to use it."My mouse now works as ahead of so DO NOT LEAVE YOUR MOUSE TO CHARGE IN THE BASE Although IT'S ON!!Overall a very good mouse questi

Does every little thing I want it to do. I use the wide grip attachment cause I have bigger hands. I had been utilizing a MX518 for about 6 years and was afraid of switching mice. Not anymore, I'm not searching back. I adore a ton of buttons on my mouse, now I don't have to fumble with my left hand in the dark trying to switch spells/weapons in the dark. I don't play competitive mp games, mostly single player here. Been playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and its so nice to be able to have my weapons for 1-4, binoculars on 5, bolt on 6, 7 is bandage, 8 detector, 9 nightvision, 10 medkit, 11 empty, 12 sneak. All on my mouse, amazing! Can't wait to try it in other games like Elder Scrolls. Bet it works wonderful for casting spells, maybe I can even use macro functions for that? Great sturdy mouse with a ton of attributes! None It's pricey. But gaming is my hobby, and I invest a lot of time doing it, so I don't mind spending a little extra for a better encounter. The ྪ) button on the mouse is a little low, and curved down. Makes it kinda tough to come across in a hectic scenario, but that may well get superior when I get much more comfortable with it.

RAZER Naga Epic RZ01-00510100-R3U1 Black Gaming Mouse
Cons:- Not well balanced (when you press the mouse on a side, the cursor will move)- Not enough sliding grip (I use a Razer Vespula mouse pad, and the sliding parts of my mouse is easily scratch, and have difficult to slide)- no sliding scroll wheel option (you can only move your scroll wheel for every 3mm)

Pros:- Wireless or Wired- Macros keys- Backlit mouse (every color)- Changable Side Panels (for Palm grip, Regular grip, or Claw grip)- Good comfort- Good configuration (backlit, macros, DPI, etc.)
Comment:
This mouse is very usefull for gaming, which you can configure macros keys. Changable side panel is very nice, so you can modify easily for every kind of use (Palm grip for confort, Claw grip for faster respond for clicking buttons, Regular grip for average use). Macros keys is a little difficult to use it at beginning, but I begin to master it after some pratice. It's a good mouse for gaming, but less for work.
