Razer DeathAdder 3500 Gaming Mouse 5 Button 3500DPI Infrared Sensor Optical USB
Cons:Logitech's implementation of DPI switching is superior, build quality/fit & finish are just a step below high level gaming mic

Pros:Very responsive, great software, great fit, nylon reinforced cable
Comment:
I am shopping for a good mousepad, so I have yet to unleash the full potential of the mouse, but even using it on the desk has been a big improvement over any other conventional mouse. The fit and feel are very nice, although it borders on being a bit large for my smallish hand. The switches don't feel very confidence inspiring for long-term durability. Even at this lower end of gaming mice, Logitech usually offers two switches for DPI switching which I feel is much more efficient because with the Razer, you lose a button assignment if you decide to use the middle mouse button as a 'clutch' or even worse, you lose mouse wheel functionality if you assign the wheel as a variable DPI adjuster. Otherwise, this product meets the standard of this price point very well.

Comment:
Great ergonomic style. Buttons are responsive. Overall great mouse for the cost. I refuse to use the drivers supplied on the web page due to issues with Windows 7 x64 (causes BSoD). Mouse will also grow to be unresponsive to the software program if pc goes to sleep. Wish the drivers had been far better so I could get total functionality out of the mouse.

Razer DeathAdder 3500 Gaming Mouse 5 Button 3500DPI Infrared Sensor Optical USB
Cons:I'm a bit worried about the braided cord

Pros:Very comfortableGood thumb button placement
Comment:
I used to have an old 1800dpi DeathAdder until it quit working after a number of years (stuff happens!), and that was by far the best mouse I had ever used. So, after using a temporary MX518 for a while, I got this thing, and so far it seems every bit as good as the old one. I don't really know what use people have for 3500dpi, but whatever. Once again, this mouse tracks very well at high speeds (important for low sensitivity FPS gaming), which was a big selling point for me when I got the first one.The biggest difference from the old one, to me, is that this one comes with a braided cord. This bothers me a little, because after a few years braided cords can get quite frayed, especially when they rub against things a lot. (I've witnessed an extreme case of a friend's mouse (G5) cord braiding coming apart completely at some spots, after a few years. On the other hand, my headphone cord is braided too and after over 5 years it's merely gotten a bit fuzzier in some spots.) It wouldn't have stopped me from buying it, so just don't abuse the cord and it should be fine. Also, compared to the old one, the teflon feet on the new one seem to have much better quality.

Comment:
I received my DeathAdder as a birthday present from a friend of mine. I always hinted that I needed a new mouse to replace my Microsoft WMO. Needless to say, I finally got that replacement. This is the Razer Deathadder. For the past 7 months, I`ve had a mixed experience with the Deathadder. Let`s start with what I use my mouse for. Generally, I`m browsing the internet doing work or playing DOTA2 (pretty much the only game I play). Immediately, the 2 side buttons allowed me to program shortcuts for the game. The firmware also allowed me to map the scroll click as a keyboard function. This is really helpful in game and I can honestly say my play improved because of the ability to program my side buttons.Let`s move onto the tracking of the sensor. I currently use a Steelseries QcK mouse pad with my DA. When I first used my DA with the newest firmware available in November, the tracking was phenomenal. No acceleration and no cursor skipping was present. However, the LOD (lift-off distance for the cursor to stop tracking) was and is still very high. I would say it measures roughly 3 CDs (literally, CDs) high. That doesn`t bother my too much because I use the 3500 DPI option and crank down the sensitivity in-game. After using this mouse for a while, you`ll notice that the glossy finish can be high maintenance. Gunk from your hands WILL get on the sides, forcing you to clean it. What`s worse is the fact that gunk will get stuck in between the side buttons at times. Cleaning is easy, but it`s just a hassle to have to perform the task.Recently, Razer has pushed out the Synapse 2.0 firmware for the DeathAdder. Synapse is basically a internet cloud that allows you to store your DA settings so you can use them where ever you go, given that you installed Synapse on that computer. The interface and functionality of Synapse is great, but there`s one glaring issue. This issue is that my DA has been acting abnormally at random times. I`m sure that this is not because of the hardware because other people have experienced this in other forums. If you`re interested, search up `Deathadder Megathread`. As much as the interface for Synapse is modern compared to the DA`s old firmware, I would much prefer that my mouse worked consistently instead of skipping and accelerating madly at random times.Overall, I`m not going to take away major points from the DA, as the firmware is the main issue, not the hardware. There are the pet peeves that I mentioned and that`s why this mouse isn`t a perfect 5. I would love to try the Black Edition, but I have concerns that the rubber grip will wear off. If I am in your position, I would see what mouse is comfortable. The Logitech G400 would have been my choice of mouse if not for the shape and the smaller side buttons. Given that, people might dislike the shape of the Deathadder too. Go in-store and test the shape, it`s the most important part of the mouse in my opinion.

Extremely a lot worth the income, I honestly dont consider i'll be in a position to play games without having a single now. I would extremely advocate this for any individual who plays computer system games. I've only played WoW with it, but something tells me it would be amazing no matter the game.

Wonderful mouse, I got applied to the ginormous size due to the truth that my hands are tiny. The light pulsates which is pretty cool, however, I turn that off considering that I would like to sleep at night and not see lights on. The polling and dpi is wonderful as well. I'm significantly a lot more accurate than I was before with a Logitech mouse (Sorry! I nonetheless really like Logitech and their goods although!) There are two side buttons on the left, which is great, I've applied them various occasions when gaming. The cord frays and sweat gunk piles up on the side.. kinda gross, but easily cleaned.

Comfy, ergonomic feel, combined with the stylish matte black and glowing icon and mouse wheel make for a darn great seeking mouse, with the glossy siding only adding on.Its driver software package, although somewhat barebones with no extremely-custom possibilities and only limited click-to slider alternatives was a bit of a let-down, but still really nice to have.As sensitive as it requirements to be, it has a fairly comfy "curve" for sensitivity.Side buttons are nice and unobtrusive, but really straightforward to reach when needed, and elicit a quite comfortable "click" noise.Teflon bottom pads makes it slide like a dream, on additional or much less something. All in all, a extremely rapidly, responsive mouse. If you've under no circumstances applied a truly nice mouse before, you'll right away notice a distinction. A very very good buy, and I don't regret it 1 bit. It tends to attract sweat and common shmutz, which can be a bit of a discomfort. The side-buttons have the frustrating habit of sucking up any crumbs one may have on 1's fingers, which can be a severe discomfort. As talked about, the driver computer software is a bit lackluster, but at the least they have it. A extremely great mouse. A bit steep in cost, but considering that one only quite hardly ever needs to change mice, it's nicely worth it. Right here's hoping to quite a few comfortable years of gaming.

I don't know Razer. This is my first product from you and you impressed me at first. A month into owning it, I could see it was malfunctioning. I learned to deal with the problems but today was no way I could avoid. I paid $50 dollars for this mouse. I want to have a good mouse that can last me more than a couple of months. Until Razer learns to make decent drivers and products, not going to buy from them.

-Feels wonderful in my hand, perfect ergonomics-major left and proper mouse buttons are incredibly soft to press, i love this in shooters-good matte finish but with a great quantity of friction it]-blue mousewheel light is fairly cool -Sensor gets wonky a lot of the time. I have it on a pure white cloth mousepad and it'll randomly swerve and turn into inaccurate for a second also. Maybe I just got a lemon, but this is incredibly annoying.-plastic and the two side buttons do feel relatively cheaply created. not a thing i would trust to final me several years. Poor create top quality isn't a thing I've come to anticipate from Razer. Overall, the pros and cons type of balance every single other out, producing for a extremely..."decent" gaming mouse.

Got this immediately after my Logitech MX518 randomly started disconnecting during games(very frustrating). I loved my MX518 while it was operating but can't have random disconnects happening in the middle of a firefight. No... it wasn't my install or config as my old MS mouse (usb as nicely) worked just fine until I got this Razer as a replacement. No problems with 'twitching' or a 'buggy wheel' as reported by other individuals. I'm not employing a mouse pad either... just a plain ol' wooden desk and no difficulties with tracking AT ALL. The sides becoming polished smooth finish is a negative notion. I don't have a challenge with it but I completely comprehend where men and women are coming from. If you have sweaty or clammy hands this could not be the proper mouse for you. Razer really should make the sides with at least a 'matte' finish just like the leading or at least place a little texture on it. The buttons are very sensitive so if you are coming from a logitech mx series mouse it will take some receiving applied to as logitech does require a 'press' from your finger. These buttons click with just the weight of your finger resting on it. General I'm very happy with this replacing my MX518 nonetheless I can't see myself EVER employing the 3500dpi setting.

Super fast, accurate, customizable buttons, macro-prepared, cool lights... I had only applied a normal two-button mouse in the past, but I can't live without the Deathadder's huge side buttons now. It is a Major mouse... might take a few days to get used to the really feel. Specially if you're not used to a palm-style grip. Your entire hand will be resting on the mouse. I was deciding amongst this and the Imperator. I was a little iffy about the really feel of this the very first few days, considering that I've constantly been a claw-grip kind of individual. But it's grown on me a lot - and a few months in, I can't see myself employing anything else.

Wonderful form factor. Extremely comfortable. Fantastic solid construction. Good braided cable. Looks classy. TRACKING SUCKS! I expected to shell out โ for a wonderful mouse. Right after hearing all the good feedback about razer mice I thought I couldn't go wrong. Huge mistake. The tracking is really poor, especially diagonal angles. I consider it is the infrared sensor that is to blame. I'd recomend a lazer. I switched it out for the thermaltake BLACK laser mouse, and havn't regretted it 1 bit. I thought shopping for "name brand" was the way to go, but I was wrong. I love my new thermaltake mouse, and don't believe I'll be purchasing razer items again.
