If you want to assist safeguard your lap top rated from heat due to poor circulation bring about openings are blocked as you hold it in your lap and you would like it to last you need to have this cooler/stand.Design is a Sturdy light weight aluminum platform, Fits my Sony FW290 nicely. It also fits in my laptop situation adding even more ridged protection throughout transport, and the dual fans run incredibly quiet, I have to lift the laptop to see if they are operating.I truly like the added USB connections as effectively as the potential to run fans from the USB connection or when A/C is offered use the A/C adapter although my battery recharges. This is not genuinely a big deal but if the corners had been style with a radius of a quarter rather of a 90 degree corner they would be less probably to catch on something as you moved it out of a lap major case.

Silent operation....effectively made, heavy aluminum. Superior cooler than the perforated Rosewill I bought last year for wife's laptop. This one particular is a solid design...had to tweak wife's,some screws not tight. This one is 100% + has the added four USB ports, and,if needed has a "Wall Wart" auxiliary power supply for extra juice if required. A great buy! None. Wide/deep adequate for a complete sized - laptop.Measure yours very first,I doubt any big laptop wouldn't fit. Excellent cooling.

I got this more than a bunch of coolers mostly simply because of the four-port replication, but other than that the fans perform marvelously, they maintain my laptop considerably cooler than before. Also the AC and usb power systems are a large plus. Not truly created for placing on your lap, kinda rough corners since they aren't rounded off a lot, but that truly doesn't bother me due to the fact i use my laptop as a desktop

Sleek look - I own a 16" Dell studio XPS 16 and it fits extremely nicely with some area to spare. The aluminum stays cool and the fans are very quiet! I use a plan to monitor the core CPU temps, and both generally run about 69-74 C while playing most games on it, but with this cooling pad it is ranging from 58-64 C below decent load. If your notebook heats up fairly swift I extremely advocate this cooler!! Absolutely nothing so far. I tried making use of cooler after the notebook already heated up to around 72 C and it helped lower the temp, but it took longer and cooled it to about 5 degrees C lower than typical (which is still remarkable). It could be apparent to some of you, but I recommend employing the cooler ideal when you start out up your notebook for the day b/c when I tried that it stayed at about 8-11 degrees C cooler than normal.

Comment:
Like all Rosewill merchandise this unit is properly built. Incredibly quiet, offers a great tilt to the laptop and the USB jacks are a plus. Dropped the temp of my laptop by about 6 degrees F. Moves a lot of air and works as advertised. Going on three months with no issues. 1 Major style flaw: there is no solid bottom on it. The underside of the fans are exposed, so forget about placing it on the sofa subsequent to you and expecting it to function effectively. So the cutting board remains portion of the setup when not on the desk (especially when utilizing a laptop as its name implies; on your lap. Rosewill could have added a bottom, as the distance amongst the feet (where the solid bottom could have been placed) and the fans along with the open sides would have supplied ample space for air intake. If you determine to take this with you when travelling, as talked about prior to you'll will need a bigger bag.

Decision of AC or USB energy, and USB hub. Metal is rigid and will not bend easily. It supports my 15.four" HP laptop with port replicator attached. Fans are quiet. No documented way to replace the fans when they wear out (it will occur someday). With no cooler, my laptop would go into thermal shutdown within 20 minutes, even if I was only checking e-mail. Below light load utilizing this cooler, my temps keep at 43-47C. The cooler itself under no circumstances feels warm. Considerably as well huge for my laptop case, unless I leave the laptop itself out :/

Outstanding, all metal surface, heat transfers easly from laptop. Quiet easy installation. Had to RMA two of these bad boys, and lastly I have 1 that performs just fine. I had to return it twice and finally the third a single worked. Possibly just a poor batch, so I took an egg off for this purpose. They really should've been produced in the USA and we wouldnt have that difficulty I run it 24ǝ so it gets plenty of use. Newegg was rapid to RMA the two I had to return with no hassle!

Solid, quiet, and cool. Have an ASUS G50 that gets really hot when I OC and go into HP mode. Due to the fact working with this product my laptop retains small to no heat even with the most demanding apps running. From the moment you turn it on the fans are really subtle and becomes non existent with a tiny music or gaming SE's. Solid develop and sleek appear are constantly a plus too. :) None *This product can be USB or AC powered.

This solution is so quiet. I have trouble being aware of if it's on or off due to my extremely loud xps m1530 and due to the good quality of the fan. The added characteristics like the hub and usb power option make this solution incredible, but there is the issue of how the solution actually does what it says. Nicely it does! I applied to have difficulties with overheating even though playing Counter Strike Supply and playing big playlists on Windows Media Player, but those issues are a point of the past now. I've played twice and each time the fan works like a charm. Good customer acquire if your laptop is too potent to manage itself... Pricey, if you don't really want it, don't buy it. I adore the usb power option, that's such a great function.

Comment:
The all heavy gauge aluminum construction and the four port hub are great. Overall suggested, but those wanting silent operation will be disappointed. The fans are quiet, but not silent. Immediately after a couple of days the fan noise went from becoming practically non-existant to a low level of fan noise. It's not unpleasent, but it is noticable. The off/on switch for the fan is located on the back of the unit. It would have been greater if the switch was on the front. Also some other coolers have a fan speed variable wheel so you could choose your level of acceptable noise. This would have been a good feature as properly.

It keeps my laptop cooler. This is really very good for me since my laptop runs steaming hot, and I desperately required it to run cooler.Besides that the built in USB hub was incredibly handy for me considering that I have a bunch of USB devices and only four ports on my laptop, this was the main selling point for me more than the other model that Rosewill sells for a substantially more affordable price. Though I probably could have picked up that model and external USB hub for a total lower cost. I have an ASUS G51J-A1. The keyboard is backlit. This cooler can be powered through USB or a energy outlet. For some purpose when it was powered through the outlet my backlit keyboard remained on even when the machine was off. I didn't assume anything of it when I initial noticed it, other than that it was a strange oddity. A month or so down the line I shut my machine down and the backlit keyboard was flickering whilst a crackling and popping sound went more than the speakers, which had been also powered by the cooler's USB hub. Due the fright of electrical damage to my overly costly laptop I only energy it with the USB now. Turns out this was even much more convenient to me mainly because I can just leave the energy switch on the cooler set to on. This way it is only on when the laptop is on. Fantastic considering that if it was powered by the outlet the fans would've kept spinning and I would have to remember to shut off the cooler. And final but not least. The documentation on this cooler is extremely weak, Quite WEAK. Though the fright of electrical damage initially worried me right after that strange anomaly, I do like this cooler and would recommend it. I would also advocate using USB to power it as an alternative of a energy outlet due to the convenience it carries.

Extremely quiet, really sleek and professional in look. Keeps my dell cool, even when running all day extended. Powered by chord rather than usb. A small pricey, but it does what its supposed to. My dell, in which i upgraded the RAM, would be so hot I swear I could cook bacon and eggs on the keyboard soon after 30 minutes. It would cut off as properly due to the heat I believe. I bought a ฤ unit from walmart. It died in like 2 months perhaps. But this one keeps my computer cool all day long. I ran it for at least 12 hours straight yesterday, and it was nonetheless cool. This thing is pricey, but you get what you spend for. Shipping from newegg was insanely quick. I am 100% happy with my acquire.

Greatest plus is the A/C Adapter!!!Properly created and beefy. Low fan noise, but if you need to have a cooler in the 1st spot I expect your notebook is loud anyway. The air coming out the vents of my DTR laptop is cooler than just before.USB Hub is nice. Yet another 1ǘ inch on the width would have been good. My laptop is an XPS M1730. It is really well regarded for heat management but this is nevertheless an 11lb DTR laptop...it gets hot.It JUST fits on the cooler. The rubber feet on the laptop sit about 1ቬ" away from the edges (width).Fans on the cooler blow approx. on the video card location (SLI so it gets hot) and HDD area where I not too long ago installed a second Seagate 320 from Newegg.

Big, Solid, Fairly effective at cooling. It could do a small much more but it does successfully preserve my laptop from overheating throughout intense use. Dropped CPU typical temps by 10-15 C. As constantly, could be a little cooler, but its about all you could hope for from an external cooler like this. Like the USB hub, its a pricy cooler but its worth it. Good quality item.

Excellent value. The way the cooler raises the laptop and slants it at an angle is good. The cooler itself is fairly and pleasing to the eye. I purchased mine about the time I ordered a brand new gaming laptop from Cyberpower. The cooler got to me very first, and so for a even though all I could do was let it sit on my desk. When my laptop finally arrived the cooler was the very first factor I tested. The fans worked but the hub functionality was DOA - Windows could not recognize the USB device. Going to RMA and get my income back. Rosewill technical help is a joke. I call the line only to find that the reps they patch you through to aren't technicians. Rather they use their limited information to figure out if you really need a technician, because apparently qualified personnel is a scarce resource at Rosewill. Then, when I lastly speak to a technician, the finest he can tell me is "It sounds like it's malfunctioning. Just send it back in." Thanks, Obi Wan! Keeps my 17" MacBook Pro with processor upgrade cool and comfortable. With no it, the processor could hit 45 C even though web browsing, and crack 60 C when undertaking processor intensive stuff like typesetting a LaTeX document. With this stand, the processor stays below 30C for browsing, and below 40C when operating challenging. It runs quiet, quieter than the fans in the MacBook Pro, the angle for the keyboard is excellent, and the included soft pads can be placed where they require to be for your specific laptop. Just what I need to have for a powerful but somewhat hot computer system, and the price tag was wonderful. Won't screen my calls. Got the a single with the added 4 USB ports. Also saw a single without having the USB ports for ŭ much less. Can't recognize why one particular wouldn't get the ports for that cost. I don't seriously will need them now, but I envision moving this to my function workplace at some point, and they really should come in incredibly handy there. But truly, this is about the cooling, and I couldn't be happier with that.

Relatively QuietProvides me 4 extra USB PortsMetal/Aluminum Style gives me good stabilityKeeps HP Laptop noticeably Cooler Cumbersome to move about (Wires, plug, and so on)Near impossible to travel with in laptop bag 1. Somewhat Quiet: I know "Quiet" is subjective; I typically devote time about servers and rack mount devices, even in my household. Right now, with the full silence of no music, no tv, no individuals, was the first time I've in fact HEARD the cooler fans running since I purchased it (month+).two. My laptop only has 3 USB ports, so rather of shopping for a HUB, this laptop is kind of a two in 1 for me.three. Really like the Metal style. I've had two plastic coolers in the past, and they've seemed very flimsy & broke inside 2 months of buy. This style doesn't bend and is constantly cold to the touch, even when the laptop is operating tough.four. Running HP NX8420 Dual Core Laptop. Normally whilst running applications maxing out CPU and ram, keyboard is hot to the touch. Given that making use of the cooler, even the CPU area is no longer a 'hot plate'five. Because there is an external power cord, Mobility of the laptop is cumbersome.6. Laptop Bag does not fit the Lengthy style of the cooler. Not suggested for

Aluminum style. Ive utilized a plastic cooler just before, and it was garbage. Fans dont seem to blow alot of air, but they do appear to be having an outstanding effect on cooling. My harddrive prior to waas reaching 50c, and not coming down. Its now reading 33C and it doesnt move. The Processor runs between 28-and 32c. Quite impressive. The solution to run on an external power provide is a plus as nicely. Not portable. I use a big desktop replacement Eurocom, so it isnt all that portable either. But if your looking for one thing to move about this isnt it. Its far better suited to sitting in 1 place and not moving. Product had to come from the states, so it took ahwile to arrive.Item has handled excellenty, Between neweggs packaging and UPS's careful product care. The package arrive with out a stratch on it. If your scared about ordering on the net, You dont need to have to be concerned about NewEgg, They are the finest.
