this thing works great!!! i have an Alienware, which is a HEAVY beast. the aluminum construction on the Rosewill cooler is very sturdy. the power adapter is a great function, it's what sold me on this model and it performs Very properly. i have a powerheavy two.five 1T external that i can now plug in to the dock without having employing it's own adapter, and it'll power everything else i plug into the other 3 ports, plus the cooler fans, and everything works like a charm. it does a fairly superior job of keeping my Beast cool too. i haven't utilized it with out the power adapter, but that's not why i got it so, even though i don't know how it'll work without it, i'm very pleased with the way it works for me. none so far possibly a third fan, in the middle, and just slightly additional down, would be nice, but i'm still pleased with the way it's working.

Quiet, lightwieght, cooling. Comfortable angle. Not comfortable if utilised on lap. A diverse design of the bottom would have made this comfy on the user's lap too. The feet on the bottom dig into the user's legs and turn out to be painful.

This is my second one , purchased one for my Dell 1720 and it worked wonderful.Keeps the 1720 incredibly quite cool .This time I got one for my Dell 1750.The 1st 1 is over a year old and still as quiet as the day I began it.These are good for 17 inch laptops and very lightweight and oh so durable. Only con is they need to have to put some padding on the bottom so this is not so uncomfortable to the legs,not a huge deal I just discovered a box it could set on and that fixed it I advocate every single 1 that is searching for a cooling pad ,spend the extra dollars for this one and you will have a life time investment

None. USB ports failed in much less than 60 days. In no way lowered my temps from day one - not even 1 degree. Fans are loud. Can't return to newegg getting it's soon after 30 days even tho rosewill says I'm supposed to. It'll expense me income to return anyway so it's like obtaining ripped off twice. Thanks! My laptop is now at a truly good angle and it's much more comforable to perform with. The aluminium helps keep the laptop or computer cool (you can really feel it's cool) and the fans are really quiet. I'm not a gamer, but I read an article on the internet that stated this device works even superior with a load on the computer. Checking the temps prior to and soon after, it looks like the graphics, memory, and cpu all cooled down by 3-5 degrees "C". Not poor looking - it kinda' blends in with my loptop. I would give this 5 eggs, but the USB ports don't function. I tried altering cables, restarting, unplugging, plugging back in, and so on. and I only get a "unknown USB device" from Windows. Given that I truly don't Want the added USB's and If I do later on, I can get one for dirt low cost, I give it four eggs. The USB concern could be just with this particular item (everyone makes a lemon from time-to-time).

Huge surface region for heat dissipation Bad fan - too noisy. I purchased this to cool my HP laptop so that the mainboard fan would not run hot so that I could play movies/TV, and so on. without turning the volume up to overcome the fan. Unfortunately, the Cooler fans combined were louder than the laptop fan. I had to disconnect 1 to get it reasonable, but then it didn't actually cool the laptop. The laptop presently sits on leading of the cooler, but it is unplugged.

Very quiet fans - genuinely impressive in that respect. Classy look, does not show fingerprints, can use the USB ports without running the fans if desired, nicely developed. Unnecessarily wide. Contemplating that it has rubber feet you can location your self (a nice feature), it's not essential for the base to be as wide or wider than the laptop sitting on it and that additional width can get in the way.
