Large 220mm fan is incredibly quiet and keeps my MSi GT-627 extremely cool under some severe gaming and video editing. Comes with the side trays which I locate really handy to hold zip and wire ties for cables. The stand itself is of utmost high quality, which is what I have grown to like a respect from Rosewill. The only con I can feel of is make sure you have your laptop centered as significantly as possible on the stand. I have had my laptop shift slightly which did effect the centrifugal force of the fan causing it to hum noticeably. This is anything I think must be brought up as a con or caution to other purchasers. My MSi GT-627 is a 15" gaming laptop. The stand is sized for about 17" laptops. My laptop feet BARLEY fit onto the stand base. The stand base will support a laptop with feet that are a width of up to approximately 14 1ǘ". So I just want to make confident folks are aware and take measurements of their laptops.

Solid construction Affordable. I liked the fact that it was solid, after in location it was meant to keep in place, not be moved about. Even so right after 5 months of use the fan suddenly quit. And it's stayed quit, it created a evil screaming sound and a sound like a person pouring golf balls down a ventilation shaft. At first I thought my condo was about to come down about my head but it turned out to be the death throws of my notebook cooler. It gave no other warnings of it's impending failure. It was kept clean and dusted the moment a week, I under no circumstances moved it or fiddled with the speed control. The only gentler use it could have gotten would to have not been utilized at all. And it nevertheless failed. It's garbage. I was unhappy with it when I 1st got it but figured I'd live with it, and now less than a half year later it's dead and I'm not spending ษ to send it back to them for repair, that's throwing fantastic cash away. Remain away from this item and this manufacturer. Cheers! Manufacturer Response:Dear Consumer, We apologize for the inconvenience, and will be more than happy to manage this for you. Silent, sturdy, solid construction, fan controller. Apparently the emphasis was in silent rather than cooling, even on max speed the fan offers tiny pressure to the point of make you wonder if it's pushing or pulling air. Typical use cools about the same as far cheaper units. It can be a excellent cooler IF your force all the air flow into your laptop. Correct now I'm accomplishing that with a really low tech answer: crumpled plastic bags on each side among the cooler and the laptop to prevent the flow going anyplace other than the grills on the bottom of the laptop. A more rapidly more strong fan with two USB ports or an external adapter would make it a winner. As a side note, this point is massive, not the sort of factor you would fit on a normal laptop bag or be hauling about.

-High Airflow-Quiet-Speed/Flow is Adjustable-Retractable USB Power Cable NONE Other than the 1st one I received getting damaged, the replacement operates fantastic. I utilized to operate for UPS Ɣ years) and this was packed at the bottom with peanut foam filling the rest of the box (bad notion). UPS = United Package Smashers....DHL, USPS, FedEx all throw boxes unless they're next day air.

Great construct good quality. Fan silent. Aluminum construct makes item very sturdy. My enterprise HP nc6910p laptop fits perfectly. due to the matte black finish, you will leave prints behind. So just make a point of wiping it down every so frequently. a prior reviewer squaked about this cooler not becoming portable.... nicely, I got news for you... this product was in no way meant to be portable. It is meant to be employed as a cooling station for your laptop. This cooling pad does cool my laptop seriously fantastic. Prior to obtaining this pad, my laptop would run on the warm side even though the laptop is connected to a mini docking station where the back part of the laptop is lifted off the table by an inch. Even the keyboard would be warm after extended use. But... now with the cooling pad, the laptop is good and cool. Even the keyboard is cold to the touch. I would definately acquire this product again. If you are seeking for a cooling pad... keep this one on the short list.

If you can get everything to balance just suitable, it occasionally will cool down a 17 inch laptop, slightly. It doesn't even come close to holding my 17" Acer laptop, it continually wants to fall off the pad or move to a weird angle to where it is impossible to view the screen. Also the rubber piece on the arm effortlessly falls off, and has resulted in many scratches on my laptop. If you own a 14" laptop then perhaps this would work for you, but if you're like me and you believed you've finally found a cooler for your large laptop, prepare to be disappointed. Manufacturer Response:Dear Client, We apologize for the inconvenience, and will be a lot more than pleased to manage this for you. For your concern about laptop size, our Spec. said "Application: 14"ㅇ.4" Notebook". But the fan size for this cooling stand is 220mm. It must cool most 17" notebook personal computer in the industry. If you can make contact with us and supply us the brand and model No. of your notebook, we will test that notebook with our stand. If the cooling outcome match as your critique, we will list that model No and brand in our Spec. So other customer can avoid the identical challenge. We will send you a gift to show our appreciation for your support. For your satisfaction of Rosewill goods, please speak to rma@rosewill.com for your replacement or refund at our expense. Massive fan. Quiet. Moves a fair amount of air. Not certain if it is the 100CF/M it claims..Comes with retractable USB extension cable to power fan.It does maintain the laptop cool and it has adjustable fan speed. It is still quiet at all settings. I have a ASUS G-51. It isn't the most significant gaming laptop out there. However, it sticks out the sides about 1" each side. I mean, the rubber feet sit on the pad. But it overhangs 1". My laptop has a 15.9" screen. Not that large of a laptop.Front piece is not exactly convienent. Design could be a bit better. But for the airflow to keep your laptop operating smoothly, I guess it is ok. If the advertising guys are gonna sell this as a cooling pad for gaming laptops, they truly need to have to make it huge enough for the laptop. Yes, it moves fairly a bit of air. But it isn't wide sufficient for the gaming laptops out there. Thankfully my feet to my laptop or computer at least rest on it.

-It cools my laptop assuming it works-17" fits ok-Construction of the body appears solid sufficient This item broke following much less than three months of use. I believe it was a challenge with the fan bearing. Rosewill set up an RMA by means of Newegg that was a complete new level of hell considering that I moved. Immediately after a few calls to each Newegg and UPS I lastly got my package and the condition it was in was asinine. Thankfully the cooler box inside seemed in ok situation. One of the screws on the cooler (where it connects the front arm rest) was loose, but other than that it appears to operate. Return shipping expense more than ฝ and was slower than molasses. I don't believe I'll be returning something to Newegg in the close to future; Certainly not via UPS.If this item has no additional complications I'll be pleased adequate, but the next cooler I purchase will not be this one. Newegg did nicely adequate with client service and they were pleasant to speak to (though the voice on the hold line is rather condescending). I appreciate all the help they gave me. Rosewill did very good on receiving it returned, but as a team they aren't the finest. There are other coolers by a distinct manufacturer for half this price that have 230mm fans and also won't block the front ports on my 17" HP laptop. I'll almost certainly get a single of those as a backup or if this 1 fails once again. At least then if one thing goes wrong I won't have to gouge my currently low revenue to replace it.Just as in the original, the spare USB port doesn't operate for data connections, so I guess it's only very good for charging or powering points. I guess that's why it's coming with a USB Hub right now. Also poor I didn't get that with my return for all the hell I had to go via. Manufacturer Response:Dear Customer, We apologize for the inconvenience, and will work with UPS to solve your address modify difficulty. Moves a good amount of air - keeping my laptop cool now that the stock interior fan is wearing down. Sturdy metal construction. Adjustable height/angle is good, as well as the small storage drawer inside the stand. As others have mentioned, the wrist help blocks front I/O ports. This can be removed, so it's by no implies a deal breaker, but I've worked about it by propping the wrist support up and tucking my headset jacks underneath it. Overall fairly nicely made, and for the deal I got it at, I'm more than happy.

* Super quiet! -- tends to make much less noise than my notebook!* One huge fan -- moves a lot more air at lower RPM!* It all operates, perfectly -- hardware, knobs, accessories * It's not priced at ั.99 (plus free S&H) all the time.* Only 30k hour MTBF on the fan, which functions out to be only about 1250 days Ɠ.4 years). The smaller the fan(s), the greater the RPM needed to move air.

Casing is well built, is extremely quiet even on the highest fan setting. Was in a position to very easily take off the arm rest which I had no use for with just one screw. Runs off of USB power - really nice. Value was excellent from Newegg. As other people have said the arm bolts don't tighten and right away strip. Fan is not ball bearing so most most likely won't last extended. Can't truly level the unit - there is always a tilt to it. Can easily scratch what you have it sitting on - be cautious. Rosewill ought to have put rubber pads on the bottom of it. I purchased this to cool an older notebook with a Pentium four Desktop chip in it. It get's hot and the fan runs nearly continuously. I'm making use of it as a media server for FLAC files and hope this keeps the laptop fan from running all the time. This is a typical Rosewill product. Excellent design - negative overall good quality. For the money it appears to do the job - lets just see if it lasts. If it doesn't - this will be my last Rosewill acquire.

Really quiet. Solidly built. Attractive appearance. This factor truly cools. The underside of my notebook used to be warm to the touch but now it's noticeably cooler. Legs a bit weak--but I doubt this would be an problem for most as I've identified I don't use them. But if you do will need them I've read where one user mentioned he stiffened them w. a dowel rod. An AC to USB power adapter would be a great addition as I've read exactly where supplying energy this way keeps the notebook cooler than by supplying power from one of its USB ports. A couple of USB ports added along with an "ON/OFF" switch would be actually nice. My 15"HP Pavilion fits perfectly, but I'd say the cooler would look/work just fine w. smaller computers or larger ones as long as the feet are no a lot more than 12.five" apart side-to-side & 11 fiveǞ" front-to-back. My HP is fairly heavy & the cooler has no problem supporting its weight.

Looks good. Quiet. Thats all. My laptop is nonetheless hot when I use this thing. The laptop fan comes on all the time and I can nonetheless really feel every via my keyboard. ๖ for a practically useless cooler. You think for this much money they could put a much more potent fan under it. A 220mm fan... If they just cranked the thing up 500 RPMS or so it would almost cool twice as efficiently... I don't thoughts some noise (like most power users), but PLEASE give me cooling efficiency, in particular for this value. Save your funds and acquire one thing less costly and far more efficient.

Large fan low voltage makes incredibly excellent combo for ""Silent"" cooling capability. Extremely strong aluminum construction, durable, cools laptop off that had ran ""Hot"" HP Pavillion DV7z-1000-cto, dual 320 gig 7200 r'z Tough Drives, 4 gig ram, 2.four Turion, High Res screen, Radeon HD graph-card, Laptop runs a important 20 to 25 degree cooler at idle as nicely full load,, CPU fan never ever kicks in as prior to when rendering movies and or playing them. Functions exceptionally nicely especially with my 17" Lappy and has a nice weight to it. Does more than hangs on the sides slightly but hasn't confirmed a con ?? Comes with extensions to compensate difference. Has a good sliding stash boxes, very stable more than-all ... Does additional Than it says it does ... The extension legs here want to be tweaked somewhat I purchased a 12 inch dowel rod to place in between the legs feet and bolted securely which remedied this particular concern ,,, The extension legs are ""Plastic"" and are slightly weak for exceptionally heavy and Larger desktop replacement style ''Laptops"",,,,, Caught this model on sale here by means of the ""Shell Shocker"" and was certainly worth each and every penny on sale or off sale,,, quite satisfied and would extremely advise this product even to my own ''Mother"" ,,, Have an Excellant Day

Nice that an individual finely starting to use heads in utilizing big fans for a laptop cooler! But if you are going to sell one thing is big, most people today are going to want AC adapter and a USB adapter. Or you are going too us up a lot of battery POWER!

Very quiet, pretty much whisper quiet. Sturdy Construction Hardly gives air to the bottom of the laptop.Package came basically mangled, but manageable and not harm to the actual item or box product was in. I plugged this thing into a front USB port on my desktop to check it out and set it on the desk, and I attempted to feel the amount of air blowing upward. However, I didn't really feel a lot air blowing at all. The fan was working, it just certainly did not blow that substantially air. 100 CFM for a 220mm fan in reality is not a lot cooling. I have already ordered the NZXT cooler that has 3 120mm fans that you can swap out for whatever fans you want. That would be my choose.

Quite quiet, even on high. Got the item on Black Friday sale for super cheap and worth every single penny. Plugs into a USB port and has two more on the fan itself so you really gain a port. Can't cook eggs on my legs anymore. 1 of the little nuts on the legs falls off a lot. Used some threadlock and all it good. Gets "FEAKIN" cold immediately after running for awhile, but that's a great factor isn't it.

Its Large, and pushes a ton of air (for being only 5v) and cooled my laptop from 70-80*C(on the couch) to 40*C( on the pad) when i played intense games. SUPER QUIET!! can barely tell if its on or not:) has fan grill so that stuff doesn't get in the fan, but doesn't cover the motor so still can rub on stuff(ie. sheets and blankets) but inst intended to be utilised that way :) The Bad, doesn't push considerably air (for getting 220mm, but is only at 5V) plastic "legs" are fragile and bend quickly, and not much space to plug headphones in the front of your laptop(not a issue for me due to the fact my laptop has the headphone jack on the side) The (not) Ugly, Looks actually nice with my IBM feel-pad(Old factor that it is) appreciate the (fiberglass?) and metal create, and the slide out drawers to put additional odds and ends. Got this with Shell-Shocker so well worth the $!=]

My Asus is and older model and I have had to replace the tough drive twice (probably due to heat). I could by no means get it cool. This unit does the JOB ! I have read complains about the screws and the port blocking and I have to agree -- BUT I purchased this due to the fact of HEAT and for HEAT DISSIPATION, this unit can't be beat !! Read other reviews -- I am absolutely satisfied due to the fact it accomplishes my key objective --- Keeping the laptop COOL. Adore this thing !
