Inexpensive, simple to use. My only issue is it keeps falling down off my monitor when I move stuff on my desk. Got this for my desktop, and the video top quality is what you'd expect given the cost, but it's nonetheless far better than the normal camera that came with my laptop.

Low cost, great sound (through boosting microphone setting), incredibly superior picture.GNU\Linux kernel compatible, particularly Debian\Ubuntu.Skype Linux two.1 works outstanding. Requirements a lot more extra work for Linux platform to add additional alternatives for Cheese and Camorama. Longer USB cable would be the finest for desktops that reside lower than monitor level. Or two interchangeable cables: short 1 for laptop, longer 1 for desktop.

Simple to install..Low cost.. Following about two months of usage, the video suddenly got a bit darker. So, I tweaked the settings and could only get the video to look appropriate by turning the lights on and with the consequence of slower frame rates. Otherwise I'd have really dark images or acceptable brightness with loss of perfect colors and excellent contrast.

low price, built in microphone, works terrific in linux and windows. fantastic skype cam. not "so HD i can see the pores on your face", and FPS can get low in a poorly lit room. not taking an egg off mainly because this is to be expected for the price. webcams move a great deal slower than other tech, this will almost certainly still be a great webcam for a lengthy time.

A fast update to my previous review:The properly-lit frame rate at 1280x1024 is 15fps. It is able to hold this frame rate even in a dimly lit room. The low light frame rate at 1280x1024 is 5fps. This only is needed in dark rooms and this camera has the finest low light response I've ever noticed from a webcam. I discovered the IR filter. It had fallen out and I hadn't noticed. Interestingly, it is a piece of glass, not plastic.

I did make a review on this just before I attempted to run in MS Live... It's a web cam but doesn't function for me. Windows Live does not choose up.Low quality. Trying a Logitech.... A affordable solid webcam, don't anticipate to be shooting 720p videos with this. Webcam software that it came with is incredibly basic.
