This product has allowed me to take all of my internal drives out of my tower before selling it and making them external drives for my new laptop. Really great product and pland to buy a couple more.

I bought one for my 400 gig hard drive and it works great. the hook up wires are short and the mounting holes didnt match for a hard drive without an adaptor. I simply drilled holes to mount my hard drive without an adaptor. was really easy to do and it works great. I might buy another for a 160 GB HDD that i have laying around.

The casing is nice. The fan is loud as other reviewers have stated but it has served the purpose I need it to. The only problem I had was the screws it came with to close the enclosure didn't fit. Minor issue so there was no need for me to return it.

Works great and met all my expectations. If there is one minor drawback, it is the short length of the data cable. I would definitely recommend this unit . . . as long as it continues to perform so well.

I bought this enclosure to transfer files from my old Hard drives onto my new computer. Plug and play, no worries. What sold me on this enclosure was the sturdiness, the internal fan and ability to switch other drives other then a HDD. Good price and fast shipping.

This is a great enclosure for the money. Everthing fit perfectly installing a new LiteOn DVD burner.

I used This enclosure with my DVD burner at first and it was wonderful. Although I was slightly frustrated at first that it refused to burn and would only read I later discovered my driver was the issue. I've had it for about two days now and it works perfectly. The sound issue is not overstated, however. This beast is very noisy, but I expected it. It has a very handy power off switch at the back so you can simply turn off the power and the noise goes with it. The fan is still not as loud as most DVD or CD drives when they burn or read so I don't see it as a problem as long as you don't store it in a place where you can't turn it off. It took 5 minutes to burn 3.5 GB of data at 16x with a USB 2.0 connection. So, no problems with speed. When I connected my IDE hard drive my ''add new hardware wizard'' failed miserably but this is most likely due to my hard drive being already screwed up in every way possible. For a $35 it's a drink on a stick.

Great product as for the 3 1/2'' drive's anyone with a Dremel and some [paint to match] can make a front cover N/P and products that seem to have cheap switches etc, for the price you can get great switches from a local electronics place, easy as pie if you have a soldering iron and some heatshring tubing. This enclosure worked just fine for me. Although its very lost cost it has features that allot of cheap enclosures may miss such as a good power switch, a fan that keeps your drive very cool and a snug fitting that makes it looks like your drive came out of the box with the enclosure already on it. The only problem I had was that when I put my 3.5'' HDD in it it had no face plate but if you want to put a 5.25'' drive in it then its wonderful.

Purchased the enclosure because I had several DVD burners lying around. I've tested one CD drive and two DVD drives in this enclosure since it arrived. All have worked perfectly in it and it's a piece of cake to put together.

Just bought two of these to use with CD/DVD RW drives. SET TO CABLE SELECT, once you do this the drives were immediately recognized in both a windows machine and a mac. Seems to be fully functional usb 2.0 and all features of the drive work. Thanks

Case received in a damaged box, although the outside box was not damaged. Manual is poorly translated. could not get the HD to be recognized in 3 computers, and i know the HD is in working condition. Was going to return it, but was reading review on another SAbrent product, the jumper needs to be SET TO CS (CABLE SELECT) , even though the manual says MASTER. Must be set to Cs. Then it worked fined. Has 2 led lights, but no idea what they are for. Says it will work for a 3.5 drive, which the drive fits in there, but the case is huge and i could only get 1 screw to hold the hd in. all the other holes are not in the right places. The fan is a good idea, but there is not cover for the opposite end of the case.
